  1. BIG GEORGES FAN CLUB – HAIL, HAIL, WEE OSCAR, sad reading that, my uncle brian my dads youngest brother was killed in cardowan colliery 1968, never forget my uncle jim knockin on the front window, and signalling to my dad to meet him at the back door, next thing my dads rushes in crying, brians been killed he says, he was only 29 years old, the mexico olympics were on the tv at the time, and when the mexico olympics is mentioned on the tv, it brings it all back.hh.

The Seven Seas was before my time. It was my late dad’s breakfast watering hole, coming off the nightshift for an 8am Guinness.

You are correct that, that side of Kilbowie Rd is on the junction of Glasgow Rd. Dumbarton Rd restarts on the west side junction of Kilbowie Rd. and through Dalmuir.

Glasgow Rd runs from Kilbowie Rd to Yokermill Rd at Whitecrook.

  3. DELANEYS DUNKY, you wont believe this it says waterproof on the bloomin coat, im takin it back horrible down here lashing with rain.hh.

  4. DELANEYS DUNKY, yes i hold my hands up, by the way talking about dumbarton rd, someone once told me that dumbarton rd was the longest rd in glasgow, or am i getting mixed up.hh.

  5. BP get a dug coat for yersell.

Hail Hail and woof woof to Frankie & Benny.

DD remember Chandlers well. Not been down that way for years, I will need to take a wee drive down now the grand wean is off school, maybe go to the swimmys if they are still there.

I runs from Argyle Street to the boundary of Yoker and Clydebank. I used to live in 767 Dumbarton Rd Partick as a baby. I suspect Great Western Rd is longer.

Yesterday, my neighbours brought home an 8 week old border collie pup, a lovely little girl named MacKenzie ..

Seamus saw her this morning … he sat the fence, and wouldn’t move …I think he’s in love!

Not sure my neighbour knows what he is in for … I love border collies … but they are a lot of work!

  8. BP I am good the new hip is getting stronger, although still got to watch what I am doing, another few weeks and I should be back to work. Need to build up my walking but going good.

Cheeko is too old for long walks and actually doesn’t like walking too far he prefers the big garden we have.

It has just started snowing here in the north of Glasgow…

D66 …. you’re not far off …. he has been charming all the women when we are out for our walks …. he loves the attention!

  10. DD I see the story going around about Marcus being raging with Davies on Saturday, good Bhoy.

    Play hard but play fair.

A new £25 m pound leisure centre opened last year on the Clyde waterfront. Tap o the range swimmys. The old Playdrome has been sold.

  12. MIKE IN TORONTO, nice to see you posting, you will have to watch seamus doesnt wander too far ,them border collie pups are very lovely, and watch that d66 ghuy hes taken over the blog.lol.

  13. mike in toronto on

Big Packy …. there is a very high fence between them … and MacKenzie wont be going anywhere near him until she gets her 3rd set of shots …. so, Seamus will be taking a few showers for a while

… but it was cute … when he saw her, it was like he had been struck by a bolt of lightning …. he just sat there and didn’t move ..

I’m not too worried about D66 … now, if his name was D666, then I’d think we had a zombie in our midst .. but he seems like a good one.

    :).

  14. MIKE IN TORONTO, yes if ever encountered by a bunch of rainjurs men, id want d66 and delaneys dunkey beside me.hh.

I see Pardew has been sacked by West Brtom …. surely, all part of his cunning plan to ensure that he was free to sign for Sevco …

  16. DD a big new swimmys, is it beside the college?? Might take the wee mhan.

BP been in some scrapes with those fellas, I would get into trouble if I revealed half of it.

Drumchapel SoT was and still is a mental scheme. I prob know your man fae Drummore Rd. Stick 30,000 Glaswegians in a scheme oot the road and no amenities. What did city planners expect? Concrete Jungle was the answer.

  18. Dumbarton Road went from glasgow to Yoker/Clydebank boundary then became Gasgow Road to the foot of Kilbowie Road then became Dumbarton Road again, probably to Dalmuir or Old Kilpatrick.

Caused many an arguement with Glasgow taxi drivers on way home after late night out in Glasgow.

  19. I see big Krisstofer Ajer is the latest to be linked with a move away.

If true not surprised, as he is taking everything in his stride, making it look easy and a great, great future ahead of him, and I think young Hendry will be the same.

DD, Marley wasn’t murdered, he died of cancer. I was one of those privileged enough to have seen him at the Apollo when I was a 16 year old. The best musicians I have ever seen live.

  21. Ron Bacardi the dreaded boundary charge.. I have never understood that charge.

Honestly, I do have doubts about a lot of people on here.

Frankie and Bennie know it makes sense to wear a coat in the rain and their “master” (sic) goes out and gets soaked.

Then my Dad is looking for an introduction to an inferior rival site.

    Stick to us dogs.

We like a lot of fun but, underneath, we are quite sensible anf faithful through and through and we pull the birds down the park.

Woof woof the Celts are here.
