Scott Bain made a great save at 0-0 on Saturday. He’s impressed me so far, certainly got more confidence in him than in DDV.

Great Western Rd is the longest road in Glesca. Fae Saint Georges X. To the Drumchapel/Clydebank boundary.

  5. CIA Deathbed confession… that came from Your News Wire… they also had a CIA deathbed confession of someone claiming to have killed Diana…a deathbed confession from a CIA agent that he blew up the twin towers a deathbed confession from Stephen Hawkins that aliens were due to invade, a deathbed confession that aliens exist, a deathbed confession that the CIA killed JFK…. and the Vatican have a time machine…

*using the Yonge Street terminology it then becomes the Boulevard, Back Road aka A813 ending at the junction of Balloch and Drymen road at Balloch Park gates.

When I was a wean in Knightswood wi cousins in Clydebank. I often wondered how they called their bit of Great Western Rd, The Boulie, but us in Knightswood called it The Big Road. 1 mile apart, different lingo.

Indeed, he seems to have slotted in very well. I will be very surprised if we don’t retain him.

Signing Scott Bain as a squad goalie will be a smart move. I think we need a Pope like goalie for Europe though. :)

  14. A while back i heard the Huns relationship with Puma was in the gutter after they publicly called for fans to boycott shirt sales. The reason why their players cant give away shirts and wear jackets with other peoples initials is because Puma send them the minimum apparel they can get away with as per contract. Advertising green boots today was bizarre given the previous reaction to their players wearing them. I wonder if it was Puma trolling them and they may have been contractually obliged to advertise the boots. Making friends along the way and all that.

I would love us to sign Nick Pope fae Burnley.

Think he is best British goalie there is. Failing that would take big Foo Fighter back.

Thank you so much for your Whiterigg memories today.

Whiterigg was my playground growing up along with lymmbhoy. I walked those back roads daily with my granda Paddy Henderson who filled my sponge like brain full of Celtic stories. Paddy was a member of the Rawyards Shamrock Flute Band and was a goalkeeper for Whiterigg.

My da tried for a couple of years in the 70’s to make us Airdrie fans but we told him the red and white scarves looked green in the dark. Anyway Paddy had filled our heads with Patsy Gallacher, Johnny Thompson, 7-1, 1967 and his personal favourite destroying Leeds. My first game was the 1975 Cup final, Paddy knew what he was doing.

Thanks so much for the memories; you’ve inspired a future story.

    Hail Hail.

Watching a crackin wee player fae Yoker doin no bad for Sheffield Utd. John Fleck played with my son at fitba and chased my daughter for years. The huns knocked all his skill out him. They said a boy fae Yoker Langy should have more dig. The scum ruined John. Fae a good Tim 50% family too.

    Get them telt.

Watched Scott Bain save Dundee from many severe drubbings against us last few years.

Have a feeling we might see big Foo Fighter back fae Southampton. Would love that.

  19. DD

Jim Spence linked him with us over a year ago and he knows his stuff. The Bhoy loved humbling the zombies, he’s made for us.

    Great to hear from you.

Garry I know his dad and uncle Robert well.

His dad Allan played with me for years at Possil YM and Robert was above us although he signed for Rangers very young he always kept a keen eye on his brother Allan.

Bobbie Dinnae used to arrange friendlys for the YM teams againt Rangers over at the Albion ground, I think that was through Robert signing for them.

I have only met young John once at the Westrern and although he was young you could tell he was mature beyond his years.

When Allan moved down to Langy fae Milton he played wi Javis in Sunday league against us at Dry Dock it was always a fight, but Allan and I were good buddy’s.

I think Nick Pope is the best British goalie and would love to sign him from Burnley. I think taking big Foo Fighter back is more realistic.

God bless Saint Margaret’s Parish Airdrie.

My wee mammy got a visit from her Airdrie and Cleland cousins last week. 50 years since she seen them. Just too many Delaneys. :)
