Has anyone at Celtic confirmed the opening of the upper tier for all the Europa league games ?

  2. Gerryfaethebrig on

We can’t sign players to get us into the CL as some players will only be interested if we are in the CL….. Play the cards we are dealt and the players today have the chance to get Wednesday out of their system, might take some others a bit longer

KevJ just caught your post from earlier good to hear from you although as a happy clapper you know we will always disagree

Tricoloured Ribbon hope you are getting better by the day

    Hail Hail

  3. The soul of the game has been lost to the money men.

It is no longer a great spectator sport.

Those fans taking flights to see a game in Spain says it all.

It is now merely a well marketed product.

The historical inherited support is dwindling rapidly.

If the choice was a hollywood blockbuster verse a local student film most people would choose the hollywood one.

Self interest is a huge factor in the destruction of the once beautiful game and particularly in Scotland.

I watch American football here and it’s a great tv sport.

Was friendly with a few NYGiants players and they gave me tickets to a few matches.

It was pretty boring live with the occasional exciting moment.

I realised how tv made it a more exciting spectacle than it actually was with constant replays and different angles filling in the monotony with the select few exciting moments.

Football is exactly the same with the over hyped EPL being a classic example.

The SPL is different with poor coverage and bias commentators demeaning the games to the general detriment.

They have done more to bolster EPL among the young than all of Sky’s millions.

  4. Well that’s a first, taking my seat in the stadium and the steward at the end of my row is slagging me for the performance of my team on Tuesday night.

  5. Celtic team to play St Johnstone: Gordon; Janko, Boyata, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Commons, Rogic, Mackay-Steven; Griffiths

Subs: Bailly, Ambrose, Mulgrew, Allan, McGregor, Forrest, Stokes

  6. Was hoping for Armstrong and Allan in the middle today.

I think they are our future creative mid partnership.

Glad Janko gets the nod as he will make position his.

Let us see some free flowing football bhoys.

  7. CELTIC have made four changes to the starting XI for today’s visit of St Johnstone following the midweek trip to Sweden to play Malmo.

Emilio Izaguirre has returned to the starting line-up for the SPFL Premiership clash and will take his place at left-back, with Charlie Mulgrew dropping to the bench.

Kris Commons, Tom Rogic and Gary Mackay-Steven also take their place in the team today as the manager refreshes his midfield attacking line for the visit of the Saints following Tuesday’s exertions in Europe.

The in-form Leigh Griffiths retains his place up front and the striker will be looking to add to his seven-goal tally for the season so far.

There will be pre-match build-up and live in-game updates via the official Celtic Twitter account @Celticfc for today’s 3pm kick-off.

CELTIC: Gordon; Janko, Boyata, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Commons, Rogic, Mackay-Steven; Griffiths.

Subs: Bailly, Ambrose, Mulgrew, Allan, McGregor, Forrest, Stokes

  8. I heard he was dead on

    Commons first goal.

    4-0

I never make predictions but I fancy it today (hopefully)

  9. I’m hoping for a positive reaction to Tuesday.

    4-0

But then I usually go for that score.
