No Bobby Does It Petta – transfers are complicated. As outsiders we don’t really know what goes on. Apparently we agreed salary etc with him on Friday. So why wasn’t the contract signed, if that’s true? If both sides were happy you’d expect that.
Maybe he wanted to wait till the last minute, to see if any other clubs would come in. If you were the agent and player that would make sense. And if that’s what they did they’ve played a blinder. He gets to join Liverpool, he’ll be recognised as a Premiership player and whether or not he gets to play much there his next move will almost certainly be to another Premiership club.
To think he could have been playing on the astro at Kilmarnock tomorrow night beside Duffy or Bitton. He must be gutted.
On Davies, Liverpool are only paying Preston 500,000 up front. the other 1.1 million is add ons for appearances etc.
Let’s go back 3-4 weeks, transfer window opens and there is a slim chance we can close the gap but we need better CHs.

Ben Davies choosing Liverpool is hardly a shock but why wasn’t this deal done 30 days ago? Hard to imagine many players are looking at Celtic with Lennon in charge and thinking that’s the place for me to develop. Shambles

Comments re: Davies are missing a trick. We’ve been banging on for months about signing this guy on ore contract.
Had we paid the money for him he would’ve been our player weeks ago and Liverpool would be looking elsewhere.

It is an impressive feat of organisation. We were in and out in 40m. It is a sobering experience to wait in line and consider all the emergency ICU bays while you wait.

Davies and his agent used the full transfer window to join the EPL winners and former CL winners. Preston get Liverpoool loanee in return. Davies and Preston has already knocked back Bouremouth, Sheffield Utd and Burnley.
In Summary, Celtic dithered and all PLs fault. Obvious innit ???

Yeah, I would agree with that. Duffy is far too slow, I’ve seen milk turn sour quicker, than Shane Duffy.
He is as slow as a week in the slammer. Our Club should cut our losses asap, & make forward steps,
towards rebuilding for what lays ahead, asap. We need to start building from the back asap, like
looking for a decent goalkeeper, because the ones we have @ present, are hopeless bombscares.
& Also our Defence needs sorted, asap. Also, we need to get rid of the dead wood, asap. & Also,
the players who do not want to be there. There is no player/players bigger than our Club.
Our Club, will be around for hundreds of years to come, & that is a fact. We just need to change
our approach, in the way our Club operates, we have to move with the times, & have a modern
day approach. I know there are a lot of fans who did not like BR, because he jumped ship.
However, domestically he done well for us, seven trophies on the bounce, proves that point.
He (BR) knew how to motivate players, & get the best out of them. JF put in his best performances
in, under BR, which also proves another point, lets all just hope, that the next Manager & Back Room
Staff, along with the players scouting, & purchases, take our Club forward, not back the way, in
which we are heading now, we going for all sorts of results this Season, which will equal all past
nightmare stuff, no good, these present day problems have to be addressed, asap. Not later, but
now, the sooner the better end of matter. HH All.

If I was Davies and my agent set this up for me I’d have sacked him. Why sign for Celtic weeks ago when you can alert clubs that this is going to happen but still nothing signed? If the transfer window is about to close and no other club has come in fine sign with Celtic easy, however hold on and Liverpool sign you (or any other Premiership club for that matter), well jackpot won!

Cheers mate. I did wonder about being only 65, as it was only this morning The NHS Experts in Scotland on TV were saying about starting the Vaccine to 70 year olds Today ?
I can only guess that its because of my poor health since October 2019…that I appear to be getting the Jag aged only 65…before others that are older than me ?
