We need someone to run at a defence and commit them

Roberts has that kind of ability , we have enough players who move forward 10 yards then pass it back or square

Liverpool Celticesque defending at a corner

They can afford that when 3 up and 4 minutes to play

We’re doing it throughout a game

Wee Dembele will be away in the summer I’m afraid by noises coming out of Celtic park

    Gene

Don’t worry Davies will help their defence out

    Thanks for that, interesting read.

  5. celtic dithering in the transfer market again – potentially losing out on top targets. Lennon called Lawell a master negotiator – how many top targets have we missed out on because of penny pinching and deals taking weeks/months to close?

I’m not saying we pay asking price for every deal – BUT for positions identified as critical for the team , we should get business done quickly!

` dithering in the transfer market..`

It may well be that we do, indeed, `dither` but is it not also possible that we are simply more aware of our own Club`s activities than we are of those of other clubs so we don`t really know how we compare with these others in the `dithering` stakes?

  7. Wow. Some are blaming our club/PL because Ben Davies hadn’t been signed up by us before Liverpool stepped in?

    “Celtic dithering”

    “PL defo holds out”

Jeezo….I’m no fan of PL, but…

Does it not occur to you that perhaps the player and his agent are the ones dithering/ holding out, in case a better offer comes along?

  8. Michael Stewart :

“You can see the frustration in all aspects of Celtic’s game. There is no drive, there is no determination within the team. As soon as one little thing goes against them they fall apart.”

    A reasonable summation?

  9. There is some amount of onion berz and anti Irish graffiti appearing around west Renfrewshire.

    HOT SMOKED

Absolutely . Michael Stewart is one of the very few pundits who has no agenda when it comes to Celtic . There is some thing they bring on to the field with them from the dressing room . There is no steel , no common purpose , no leadership , no confidence .

I firmly believe the same group of players (well , most of them) with a a clean slate, under the right manager, would respond much more positively .

    I’m not Keir Starmer.

But if I were, the first question if ask at the next PMQs would be …

“Mr Speaker, the UK’s vaccination programme is entering its eighth week.

Can the prime minister explain to the nation why the UK Government has not yet seen fit to provide a FIRST dose of the vaccine to a genuine national treasure, Captain Tom …

… and yet has been able to provide TWO vaccinations to Monsieur Stanley Johnson?”

    ——————-

I assume he’s not had the vacine yet as he’s been ill for a few weeks with pneumonia

  13. Back to

Captain Tom has been suffering from pneumonia which may have a bearing on it.

Tha vaccine roll out will be uneven – I’m 70 and had my first jab on Thursday – my brother is 72 from EK won’t get his till 14 Feb.

The important thing is that people should take up the offer.

  14. Overall 8 million vaccines to date is a fantastic effort, not just by the government, but the people delivering it.

I asked the doctor if he was suffering from RSI
