    I tuned in to see how Jack Hendry’s form was going in todays game , first thing i noticed was how poor the surface was .

     

     

    Secondly and more importantly , he is missing from action ….

     

     

     

    He has Covid !! ….speedy recovery big yin.

    Hankray – I may be wrong but as I recall, the winner of SPFL this season “only” has to play 2 qualifying rounds and the runner up 3 (or maybe 4?). This is the first time I can recall that two teams get a shot at qualifying. Usual scenario of Europa League direct entry if you just miss out on CL.

     

    I think the season after that, direct entry for the champions is on the cards due to coefficient. That has gone up significantly due to our performances last year as well as the huns good run over last two years.

     

    If we win SC or finish 3-4th in league, we get a chance at EL but via a much longer/harder qualifying route.

    Its going to be a long summer whatever happens vis a vis a manager. I cant imagine NL will be there, a bad start in the league or qualifiers and there will be pandemonium. Equally if a new guy comes in with little or no time to get us organised then the board will get it in the neck and the bad feeling will linger all season.

     

    I have to hope the new guy has been contacted and although he may not be free to come yet, he will be updated on any team matters and sent any relevant information.

     

    Perhaps Neil is privy to this and has agreed to stick it out.

     

    Anyway tough times ahead, i would prefer they called the leagues and restarted in April/May with the Scottish cup, and with a lockdown, the sporting wing of Combat 18 wont be able to be out and about shouting their odds

    By happy chance I was listening to Radio Scotland for about the last half hour. Best discussion I’ve heard of our situation on the airwaves for long enough. I don’t know their names but there was a female presenter, the former manager of the Scottish Ladies’ team and Marvin Bartlett (?) (the Livi captain).

    Jane Lewis is the host, the guest were Shelley Kerr and Marvin Bartley.

     

    I thought both talked very well about the Celtic situation, and both of their admiration for Neil.

     

    Kerr said no one has ever been through anything like Neal has, and that he is a very good manager not getting it from previously really succesful players.

     

    Barley in turn also said he played for Neil at Hibs and he enjoyed working for him as he is a winner (para phrasing) and brought something good to Hibs and to him as a player.

     

     

    I was impressed with how much Marvin talked up Eddie Howe,

     

     

    It was a good unparisan discussion.

    So the QPR still hoops were getting used in 1936, and the celtic great getting on the bus are Jimmy McGrory and ……… em …….. John Delaney

    haha that sounds more like her from my experience.Old school supporter,backer and supporter.Think the documentary mentions she was a ‘clippie’ so even if yir da had a good answer hers may have been better 🤣charlie would know of her.am sure of his pals
