    Aye Kev

Thanks for reminding us that once upon a time, when you and Neganon were Celtic fans, things were fair and equal in Scottish Football and the board and the fans were one big happy family until………

  2. GG

As someone posted earlier a clear handball by Dasies on Defoe goal.

Was not deliberate but it created advantage so should have been a foul.

Morelos diving punch showed he could get to the ball quicker than McGregor did on Killie’s second.

Funny to watch his bemusement at goal being disallowed and yellow card given.

He must have thought Beaton was the ref.

  3. Fan-A-Tic

It’s the look,of astonishment with his hands spread.

He obviously thinks he can handle the ball,at anytime and get away with it.

It must be the coaching and world class breakfasts at Auchenhowie or whatever it’s now called.

  4. Fan-A-Tic

I hadn’t noticed the hand ball but you are right.

I didn’t hear Gerrard mention it after the game.

Still it makes their loss even sweeter.

    ” Feelgood ”

Is that such a bad thing ?

When global issues are as concerning as they are now , the chance to celebrate seeing our beloved Celtic having some success is most welcome . As is sharing the feelgood factor with fellow Tims .

What kind of outlook would wish to use this afterglow as an opportunity to sow division .

Only one which should cause concern .

Heard a great line in a song yesterday saying some people are like clouds as they take away your sunshine when they appear. We almost got to enjoy our win yesterday before the clouds appeared.

  8. Gooooood morning CQN from a beautiful, happy, delighted, smiley thing, but freezing Garngad

Good performance and result last night.

Young Timmo looks a good player who can make the Larsson/Cadette runs in behind.

Ollie done well as well, considering he is playing a position not that familiar to him, think he will be a right goodun for us as his power and pace will help in several areas.

I am being selfish and still want a Right Back and for Bayo’s registration/permit to come out of an SFA drawer.

As WITS says lets just enjoy the ride, as we will loose a cup or a league at some point, but hopefully not this season. Enjoy Bhoys and Ghirls, these are special times.

BR will leave as well at some point (I think the summer) but Celtic will always be there, one of a few constants in so many life’s.

    Bring on the Hamilton

    Hail Hail

    D. :)

  9. Good working morning Bhoys and Ghirls from a still freezing and slippy but precipitation free East Kilbride. Really enjoyed last nights show. Sinclair’s first half was his best 45 in a long time. Christie’s energy – and skill – was fantastic. Burke did really well in an unnatural position for him and my first look at Timothy Weah left me very opTIMistic.

    Happy Days.

  10. 50 shades of green on

    Morning Tims….

I see the greeting faces of doom and gloom have found a reason to be “cheerless ” again.

A better alround performance last night from just about everyone.

    Do for me…

Still with Killie breathing doon wur necks, we will need to be careful.

  11. Never heard Brendan be disrespectful to the opposition in victory or defeat. Why would he? Only serves as motivation for them the next time.

Slippy G just wrote Clarkes team talk for the cup match last night. Woeful stuff. I’m getting my money on them getting knocked out at rugby Park as a result.

Now, get us a right back Celtic. I’ll be content at that for now. CB’s might have to wait. But I’d take one or two of them as well.

  12. Afore a read back………I’m guessin’ it’s no’ jist Cellick that pit oan a BIG “performance” last night……

    Aye.

I see the self proclaimed protectors of democracy are at it again in south america trying to depose internationally recognised and run away winner of the Venezuelan election, it must be cheaper to invade and depose democratically elected governments for their oil than internal fracking.

And as usual the “free west” do exactly as the yanks order.

  15. mullet and co 2 on

So people are concentrating on Rodgers comments on the Ukrainian lad with the slant that this is another signing that Rodgers doesn’t want. I think that is a valid concern however, the secondary concern is his quote that wingers will leave.

    Forrest

    Johnstone

    Sinclair

    Burke

    The new guy

Morgan? Is he a winger I don’t think so

    Arzani

So who goes? Arzani was meant to be here another year. Forrest rumours and dip in form indicate mileage in his potential move. Sinclair is in the top earners and we could make our money back plus a bit more. I’m assuming we have no deal in place to sign Burke should we like him?

  16. Respect to every Celtic ( and St Mirren) supporter who made the effort last night. Treacherous conditions underfoot where the rain had turned to ice.

A very ” healthy ” crowd witnessed a performance that can be a catalyst for going forward in confidence.

    Mullet..,

I think the concern is that BR implied knew very little about it.

While I’ve no feeling one way or the other, I just hope he does not become another drain on resources, we have IMO we have enough squad players not involved with the first team. And as BR said we already have plenty of wingers.

  18. morning bhoys, from a damp drizzly Cheshire,,I think the one thing we can all agree on, weah is a player.hh.

The comments last night come after comments a couple of days ago about how we should not be looking to stockpile players:

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46949844

“They have to really be able to make a genuine difference,” said Rodgers of potential captures.

After the game last night Rodgers essentially said he didn’t expect the Ukrainian winger to be of any use to us now.

The fact he admitted he hasn’t seen a lot of the player should set a few alarm bells ringing.

Its not too hard to join the dots to see that he is not fully comfortable with how we are going about our transfer business.

At least, job done well last night on the pitch and a nice bonus from Kilmarnock, although the way they are going they will be closer challengers than Sevco.

The area around the Emirates was simply bloody dangerous , surprised no one broke any bones

  25. Morning all. Observations on last night.

We moved the ball at a high tempo for ninety minutes, it was often a joy to watch, with movement and one/two touch passing.

Burke looked sharper and more comfortable. Confidence is huge and both player and club will benefit from last nights performance in the coming months.

A wee word of praise for the old bill .

The pavements from Dalmarnock station to the ground were treacherous last night.

A plod minibus was placed on the inside lane of the road to push out the traffic before the game , enabling fans to walk safely on the road which was far less icy.

Similar efforts by a big sergeant after the game.

Brendan’s presser shows a different slant on the possible signing of the winger .

    Context.

Personally, a right back is obviously required. One we’ve approached doesn’t want to play in Scotland. The other has had his price increased by another couple of million to six million.

Do the fans want any right back at any price ?

If we play smart, the 3 on our books will do fine .

Use them wisely, and set up , to give them cover in Europe.

Finally. Personal question. Anyone got info or knowledge on claiming tax refunds ?

Day off today, to try and do my annual self assessment .

The first year was ok , last year was major hassle. Any help or advice appreciated.

Aff oot to walk the dugs & clear the napper. HH

If the GCC are forcing drivers to become pedestrians then they are responsible to ensure the pavements are safe to walk. The other night I read quite a few letters to the GCC on the 1 mile parking prohibition, none of which addressed this issue. I suspect if enough people wrote including this issue and asking how much it will cost the GCC for gritting for the winter games potentially twice a week? Or how much will it cost defending claims for compensation from injured Celtic supporters when the pavements are not gritted will cost. Using financial arguments will win this argument.

    Facts –

He played for 90 minutes in the 2-0 Cup game at Cagliari

He played for 90 minutes in Sunday’s 5-0 Serie A stroll at Frosinone .

Pre match Press Conferences re both of the above included the Atalanta Manager (Gasperini ) stating that Atalanta had no need to sell anyone and were looking to strengthen in the Window .

  29. PRESTONPANS BHOYS on 24TH JANUARY 2019 9:18 AM

The conditions were exactly the same at the Gallowgate. In fact even as far down as the Barrowlands ( where a concert was just coming out ) the pavements were ice rinks.

The crowd was absolutely amazing considering the conditions.

We have discussed to death the GCC impending parking policy. To ask elderly or infirm supports to walk miles is impracticable.

    How should Celtic respond. ?

To reitterate imo transport infrastructure to Celtic Park should be our number 1 concern.

PS: I guess another summit with Alex Salmond is now out of the question, as he’s just been arrested.

I e -mailed GCC when the parking restrictions were first announced, adressing pavements and walkways. Who is responsible? I guess the E- Mail went into a black hole.

On a slightly different topic; The financial argument against games like last night should also be considered. They bring little or no benefit to the local community with pubs and shops lying empty and closing early.
