CELTIC have earned almost £1million from their players who were involved in the World Cup Finals.

Dedryck Boyata (Belgium), Mikael Lustig (Sweden), Tom Rogic (Australia) and Cristian Gamboa (Costa Rica) were all at the tournament and earned the Hoops some extra cash.

Figures released by FIFA show the Parkhead outfit will have an extra £916,500 in their kitty thanks to the performances.

Central defender Boyata, who played in his nation’s first three  encounters in Russia, reached the semi-final with the Belgians while right-back Lustig made the quarter-final, but missed the 2-0 loss from England through suspension after picking up two yellow cards in earlier games.

Classy midfielder Rogic and full-back Gamboa exited the tournament at the group stage.
Clubs receive £6,408 per player per day who were involved in the competition that will conclude in Moscow tomorrow afternoon when Croatia, conquerors of Gareth Southgate’s team, take on France in the Final.

Manchester City earned the most of any team, picking up £3,904,400.
