SKIPPER Scott Brown and striker Odsonne Edouard have both overcome injury scares to face Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final at hampden this afternoon as Celtic chase an unprecedented treble treble.
However, there is no sign of Kieran Tierney who will undergo a hernia operation in the summer. The fans’ favourite was desperate to play in the crucial confrontation, but has been forced to step aside and Jonny Hayes will be in at left-back.
Neil Lennon has kept faith with Mikey Johnston who scored two goals in the champions’ 2-1 triumph over the same opponents as they brought down the curtain on their eighth successive title-winning campaign.
The Hoops haven’t conceded a goal in the competition this season and Scott Bain is again in goal with Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer in the middle of the rearguard.
Brown will start alongside Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic while James Forrest returns to the right wing.
TEAM: Bain; Lustig, Simunovic, Ajer, Hayes; Brown, Rogic; Forrest, McGregor, Johnston; Edouard. Subs: De Vries, Toljan, Benkovic, Bitton, Ntcham, Sinclair, Dembele
