CONFIRMED: CELTIC EURO KICK-OFF

1

UEFA have confirmed Celtic’s kick-off time against Sarajevo in Bosnia for Thursday’s crucial Europa League play-off.

The Hoops overcame the tricky hurdle of FC Riga in Latvia during the week when substitutes Jeremie Frimpong and Mohamed Elyounoussi combined with the Norwegian international slamming in the last-gasp clincher.

Neil Lennon’s men now face a 7pm start against the team they beat home and away in the Champions League qualifiers in July last year. The Parkhead side won 3-1 away from home and made certain of going through with a 2-1 triumph in the east end of Glasgow.

The visitors will make certain they do not stumble in the first-half as they did last season when the Bosnians scored first through Mirko Oremus inside half-an-hour, but Mikey Johnston levelled with a spectacular effort before the interval and Odsonne Edouard and Scott Sinclair, with one of his last goals for the club, struck in the second-half.

Strikes from Ryan Christie and Callum McGregor completed the job in the second leg.
