DONS’ FOUR-IN-A-WOE

CELTIC have the ideal opportunity of going to the top of the Premiership table tomorrow after Aberdeen toppled to their fourth successive defeat.

The Dons flopped 2-0 at Ross County tonight – and if the Hoops beat Motherwell at Fir Park in their High Noon shoot-out they will be in that old familiar pole position.

Goals either side of half time by Brian Graham gave Jim McIntyre’s side a well-deserved triumph over the Pittodrie outfit.

After starting the league campaign in whirlwind fashion with eight straight wins, the Dons have faltered big-style as the pressure has intensified.

Graham opened the scoring in the 35th minute following a left-wing run by Dick Forster.

Aberdeen brought on top scorer Adam Rooney and Shay Logan at the interval, but were qickly two goals adrift, despite the backing of 1,700 travelling supporters.

Four minutes into the second period, Graham beat off challenges from Ash Taylor and Andrew Considine before firing a shot beyond the helpless Danny Ward.

Ronny Deila’s side can go two in front if they don’t slip up against Mark McGhee’s Motherwell.
