Mibbery was a huge influence today

All said and done it was a good first half but wrecked by a lack of focus in 2nd half
Still way ahead on points and Goal difference.
Days like today will serve to inform our newer players and manager what they are up agin!

Forrest, sorry no for me, lazy, injury prone and posted missing, games he manages to get fit for.
A combination of factors caused that defeat.
Atrocious final balls, coupled with too many anonymous players up front (hello Stokes, Guidetti, Forrest).
Johansen choking possession throughout the game. Lost count of the number of misplaced passes he played, although to give him his due he is a grafter.
A pair of comedians in defence – Ambrose and the pink booted Matthews.
Rank bad luck with the 3 shots off the woodwork. And not least, our old friend, “the honest mistakes.”
Bad luck and honest mistakes are largely outside of our control. But we can do something about those players in our team who are consistently not playing well at all.
We wanted a competitive league. That`s what we`ve got now.

Just sped read the blog – from start to finish, well done for the updates and sounds like a nailbiter. As I reached page 16 I was sure it was going to be a draw, so close.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend and don’t sweat the small stuff. The league is in the bag and the Cups are coming home to rest in paradise.
Griff splayed well, scored, hit the post Big Stefan scores, makes a goal. Good subs. Pity the linesman should have gone to the opticians.
Good game overall apart from the referee/linesmens display. Some poor performances from 1 or 2 of our players but we can,t win every game. Onwards and upwards…. Mon e hoops

Although the ref cost us at least one point today we helped him enormously with our lack of goals. We’ve been getting away with games where we have 60-70% possession and scrape a 1-0 win.
I would go with our two goalscorers today (one cheated out of)

No need to break the bank for Guidetti, he is not the answer to our goalscoring needs.
Our back 4 need to defend , full backs are defenders not wingers.
I’ve been saying for some time now that, unfortunately, James Forrest just isn’t good enough to be a regular first team player …. as a winger, he can’t cross the ball, dribble, or assist in defence…
We lost the game because we don’t have a Celtic class
striker at the club,LG is by far the best we have,and I have
doubts about him.
I have never bought into the idea that we have a gem in JG,
this is a player who has been passed about like a nude book
in Barl.

Today has gone we move on ,Bury the opposition and take the MIB out the equation.
Robbed. But otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable game. We played as good as we have in any other game and didn’t get the rewards.
Thought the first two subs were premature and the final sub too late.
Efe will no doubt be getting the pointy end of the stick from some supporters. I will say he did make mistakes, but no more that others. Just easier to highlight his when everyone is looking for it.
2 very similar incidents today. So how come Leigh has a foul and yellow card awarded against him but Guidetti is told no penalty and get up and play on.
You also have to ask why Rony cant find a place in the team for Griffiths he will score goals as we saw again today wake up Rony I dont care if hes a bad bhoy or not he is a goal scorer. H.H.
Poor passing
Weak in important areas – Forrest, Biton and Matthews – passing and decisions really, really, really poor.
Ciftci rag dolling players – players who were given no support – either double up or get the manager to change it.
Second goal – DU players languishing at the back post???? And was still lucky to score.
Add to this the usual ‘honest mistakes’ (Which have never went away) and we have DU winning.
PS – just heard the Vatican have sent a Sainthood Investigation team to Tayside after Dillon recovers from a tackle that everyone agrees would/should have killed him.
Ah well.

A lot of positives today from the game. It is very hard to play against a packed defense with fast players hitting you on the break.
We scored two goals today and hit the woodwork 3 times due to some great passing attacking football.
I thought the ref was poor, but for me it was the linesmen that turned it today. They will be bought pints by their mates to celebrate their work today, but we will have the last laugh. We will win this league.
The team is improving all the time, upwards and onwards.

Leigh Griffiths did more in the short time he was on than either Stokes, Guidetti or Forrest did all together. He also scored both goals for young team during the week. I rest my case.
Stefan’s goal was onside – very bad call by the assistant, but we generally passed poorly and did not move effectively off the ball.
Efe was central to the 2 goals we lost defending like I play golf – an air short and a horrendous slice out of bounds ! We desperately need Denayer/Mulgrew/AN Other back there or we can never relax defensively.
Having said that Dundee Utd, defended effectively and took their chances – if Celtic had done that we would have won comfortably. Just a bad day at the office.
If Inter were watching that then they will go away with wrong impression hopefully – the only bonus I can come up with.
Mathews & Forrest or Fisher & Griffiths…..time for the latter in my opinion !!!!
I watched without commentary today and you get a different perspective. I thought the referee had a decent game. The linesman made an error on the penalty but many would have done the same. It was very tight. To blame the officials for our defeat is childish. Just wasn’t our day today
Looks like a BBC reporter will be getting a serious disciplinary talking to.
Scepovic thought he had reduced Celtic’s deficit when he finished crisply from Izaguirre’s chested pass but the offside flag cut short the substitute’s celebrations. However, television replays showed the Serbian had been onside.
Promised myself I wouldn’t be tempted to comment on here again but…

The referee was a factor today.
The referee is a factor in EVERY game Celtic play.
You have to take him out of the equation every week but I will grant you that McLean is a particularly bad one to have in charge of a Celtic game.

Efe Ambrose must not play for Celtic as soon as an able replacement is possible.
I have tried to be fair with him but he constantly makes the same mistakes.
He simply gives away too many chances and if he is playing against Inter we’ll get another thrashing.

I know we were cheated. Ref doing his promotion no harm. But if Deila has any clue at all he’ll have Scepovic and Griffiths up front. If he doesn’t he can get to feck. In fact wish he would just get to feck along with Efe.
I prefer Cifci to Guidetti…
