   Griffiths should have stayed on. He and Stepovich would have been a better pairing than Guidetti and Griff. How Thompson has not been named by Celtic FC as a poisoned cheating arsehole I don’t know. This goes all the way back to Tony Mowbray. The linesmen—where do they get them?

    If you think SDM was a stupid twit with his “..we’ll a spend a tenner for every fiver Fergus spends…” then you similarly think RD is a stupid twit when he says “…we’re going to win the treble…” 15 games before it’s actually happened.

     

     

    Too many Celtic fans IMHO still think SDM is the bees knees even after Rangers have been liquidated, personally I don’t give two hoots about the media war, the war on the pitch is worth 100 of every bombastic statement made by player or the manager or chairman.

    Ronny never said he would win the treble, he said he would like to, that we are in a good position to and the team will try it’s hardest to achieve this goal. He also said it would be disappointing not to win it. He is only responsible for what he says, not what you understand.

    My overall emotion is relief.

     

    I know we should have won but I’m pleased to escape with the treble still on.

     

    The way Thomson refereed the match I always had a horrible feeling that he had another horrendous decision up his sleeve which would lead to a UTD winner.

     

    We dust ourselves down and concentrate on the LCF and part 1 of the trilogy.

    I’ll get back to you when he puts in either an average or good performance. For me, he has pace to burn, but unless he uses it then he brings nothing to the party that other squad members do. And that is leaving aside him being injury prone.

     

    But then again it is all about opinions I suppose, and RD must be seeing something in training that we are not seeing on match days.

    Griffiths might not be the answer to our striking problem but at least he seems to have bought into the style of play Ronny wants more than can be said of Stokes.Football would be better played on an artificial surface if this is the best United can come up with.The paying customer is being cheated watching football on this kind of surface.

    Forrest showed signs in the second half of getting back to somewhere near his best. First half he was anonymous but came onto a game.
