Not a good performance from a team best describes as experimental. Still, we are the champions.

Tony Watt has shown in less than a game,that he is a player.Pace,height,put a wee bit more muscle on in the Summer and we will have one hell of a striker IMO.
If that is him LAUGHING. I would hate to listen to him when he’s CRYING.

why oh why do we do this, ok we’ve won the championship but i’d still like to see our team push on with 100% until the league is finished, not good enough, time they gave a minutes thought for all the fans who follow them.

Impressed with young Mr Watt today thought he put in a good shift in that second half. Dissapointed to lose but hey we are the champions, meaningless game; however I want the top team next week to win the league in style and a bit of revenge against the mini Huns.
Dundee United must have BIG REGRETs over their tame display in Govan the other night when they blew their chance of a CL place.
How they can celebrate today is beyond me.
We didn’t do enough today to merit a win – so no complaints.
However, it just goes to show there’s a lot of work to be done to get Scottish referees up to standard.

Most of our balls into the box were either totally aimless or overhit. Another game where we dominated possession and yet failed to capitalise. Disappointing.

I maybe just wistfully wishful thinking, but with Watt I am reminded of Big Yogi’s early appearances in the 60s. Young, big, strong and hungry
Probably just a co-incidence but we seem to be nae good when Lustig is near the team. Can’t for the life of me see what he brings to the party.
As for Bangura, does not reflect well that youngsters such as Tony and Dylan are called to our rescue before him.
You can’t win them all.
That being the case, this is a good time to lose.
We have become like spoiled weans.
I thought the side Lennie put out today was a pretty strong side however,they played poorly Lustig has to work on his crosses as they were poor.I felt we lacked creativity in the midfield and there were to many aimless pases big Victor looks like he needs a holiday and Commons chose the wrong pass to often.I thought Izzy had a good game but the two central defenders at the United goal were shocking.I dont think any of our strikers got the quality chances today but we now surely can see that we need big improvement if we are to get a run in Europe well done to Dundee United for your victory.H.H.
Two things we lacked today , and , we also lacked at Hampden.
We need to either get the ball to the bye line and cross or, we get a striker in the summer who is able to attack the ball and get across his marker in the box.
Hooper is a good player, Stokes is a good squad player and Bangura is an enigma . Either way, they are all similar, they wait for the ball to come to them in the box, rather than aggressively attack it.

Midfield not influential enough for me today. I hate to say it given their disgraceful showing at Asbestox midweek but Utd worked really hard to frustrate us today and for that they deserve credit. Brines was……well, Brines.
Highlights for me were the away support, young Dylan and Tony and the continuation of Izzy’s revival.

Not a good performance but Brines made sure of that too. Strange how both he and the United players celebrated as if United had won the league.
We have to convert our chances; so that the MIBs can’t have any influence. It was like watching a rerun of the Kilmarnock and Hearts games. (Actually, at some point during the second half, the commentator said that Dundee United deserved to win on the balance of play and then gave the statistics, which were, of course, all in our favour, apart from putting the ball in the net.)
Maybe we were just securing Dundee Utd’s vote against the newco? :-)
Still think we are a cautious reactive team.
Our players need to learn to attack the space rather than wait for pass.
Our system with two deep lying central midfielders offers no central threat.
It has us to reliant on individual moments to win games.
No movement or threat from central areas allows opposition defences to hold position and defend our hopeful punts.
We need to improve tactically to do anything in Europe

my initial reaction was the defender had his back to it, so not ball to hand so no penalty!!! or is it a different rule if you are at hampden last minute of a cup semi final and wearing a Celtic top????
although he did stop it flying accross the 6 yard box TOWARDS goal and NOT out for a goal kick

Never a penalty but neither was the one given against us in similar circumstances. Ball to hand in each case.
