    Although our finishing is terrible, the good thing is that we’re still creating chances nearly every time we go up the pitch. If we lose a goal, though, with 10 minutes to go this mob will make life really difficult for us. We need an early second half goal

    Take the foot off the gas around the 20 min mark and became sloppy.

    He appears to be playing the Stokes role, merely linking up with Izzy, but he has to turn inside, whereas on the other side, he has the wing to exploit.

    I missed the `penalty` incident . When did it occur? ( I also missed the first ten minutes).

     

    I am watching without sound so am not being influenced by any commentary. We are by far the better side but I am at a loss to explain why we fail to convert so many chances.

     

    Four nothing would not be an unfair scoreline. We are playing a lot of good stuff. Broony and Biton are beginning to look as good in the middle as Denayer and van Djik do at the back. If we could only convert more of our excellent chances we would be very excited about the future achievements of this group of players.

    HT Dundee 0-1 Celtic

     

     

    Decent first half performance although we have been guilty of poor finishing. It should be at least 3-0. To be fair, their keeper has done well, but Commons, Johansen and Forrest should all have been on the score sheet.

     

     

    Dundee are not out of this game. Their center forward looks a classy player but both Denayer and Virgil have been outstanding. Another goal will kill the game and it should only be a matter of time.

     

     

    Griffs took his goal very well. A glancing header into the bottom corner off a great cross from Lustig. Struggling to see what Jamsie brings to the team. He holds onto the ball too long and gives away possession far too much. He is a luxury in the team that we can’t afford in cup ties, particularly away from home. One of the Dundee Utd lhads will slot in there nicely.

     

     

    Broonie started the game very well. Looking for a bit more going forward from the midfield but all in all a decent performance. Playing surface helping us today.

    Biton the class act on the field.

     

     

    A combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing are the only reason we still have a contest.

    I remember a cup game at Dens in the 80s when Bomber played for them. It was one of the most hostile atmospheres I’ve ever encountered. They were screaming at us and the Sash was getting laldy. I think it was a 0-0 draw. A quarter final if I remember correctly.

    When we lose the ball, We are working hard and moving quickly to get it back. Not as quick when we have the ball. Need to see the same level of pace and urgency when we are attacking … But getting better.
