FORMER Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati is in the running for the manager’s job at Raith Rovers.
The 37-year-old Italian is on the look-out for a return to the game following his brief stint with St Mirren.
Donati, who also had two years at Hamilton Accies after signing in 2016, is believed to have registered his interest in the Stark’s Park vacancy following the shock departure of Barry Smith on Tuesday.
Donati spent two years at Parkhead from 2007, helping the Hoops win the title and League Cup, while he boasts more than 300 appearances in Serie A.
Kevin Cuthbert will take charge of Rovers for today’s Irn-Bru Cup trip to Ross County.
