Celtic players’ participation in the World Cup ended yesterday as Efe Ambrose’ Nigeria were eventually overpowered by France. Baring injury, Efe will be in Champions League duty in Iceland two weeks from today, which leaves the player little scope to rest weary limbs for the season ahead.
The fitness management of Efe and Emilio Izaguirre throughout the season will need to take a different path from the rest of the squad. The search for cover for both players should be a priority.
It’s a pity for Dundee United, and for Scottish football, that Ryan Gauld seems on the verge of leaving for Sporting Lisbon at only 18-years-old. United have seen enough to know they have a genuine talent on their hands, but the player’s glory years all lie ahead of him.
United will continue to lose genuine teenage talent until they, along with other aspiring Scottish clubs, get a change of environment. If the Scottish Premiership folded into the English Football League structure Ryan Gould would remain in Tayside for years to come.

Do you think there are bets taking place between these guys to see who can find the best lookin girls?
I had been thinking that the sexual equality thing might get evened up 1 day and perhaps the football cameraman position will be put under the spotlight and it will become camareperson…….will there be demands for a 50/50 mix of men/women on the cameras and then perhaps those women will be searching for the best lookin guy!
Maybe they are deeper than us guys though and they would not do that?

I don’t know who we will sign,but wide men seems to be the main position that needs strengthen,if you watch Ronny team in Norway,the right back was his most attacking weapon,I don’t know if he is looking to sign him,but he definately likes to play fast men in the wide positions,I think we are going to enjoy the season ahead.
For me this World Cup will be remembered for teams full of relatively low profile/unkown players doing really well.

The English media takes every opportunity to show the Maradona incident from 1986, the one that no other country gives a sh1t about, but they never show any of the countless incidents of gamesmanship from Klinsmann when he was playing the game.
He was a horrible character, constantly feigning injury and trying to get opponents carded.
But he decided to play a couple of years in England and all was forgotten about.
Are we allowed some gingerism? As I notice a ginger playing CM Belgium and wondered if this was a first. I myself am a whitey- my hair that is- and I’m happy to accept any white hair gags
