FOUR BIG CALLS FOR BRENDAN

0

BRENDAN RODGERS has been priming his players before tonight’s Premiership encounter at his ‘jinx ground’ against Hibs.

Amazingly, the Celtic boss has NEVER won at Easter Road in his four previous visits – a sequence of two draws and two defeats.

The Irishman fully intends to alter that situation fairly emphatically as the Hoops go into the match on top of the Premiership on goal difference after Philippe Clements’ side’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox last night hoisted them onto 58 points alongside the champions.

Rodgers has plenty to mull over as he sets out his plans and there are four obvious questions that need to be answered:

PROBLEM BHOY…Alexandro Bernabei didn’t last an hour at Pittodrie before getting the hook.

1: Does he start again with left-back Alexandro Bernabei who failed to convince before making way for right-sided Anthony Ralston against the Dons?

2: Will Stephen Welsh continue in central defence after taking over from Maik Nawrocki in the second-half at Pittodrie?

3: Did new Bhoy Nicolas Kuhn, who claimed the visitors’ leveller in the disappointing deadlock, show enough during his substitute appearance to go in ahead of Liel Abada?

4: Is Daizen Maeda, who returned to training at Lennoxtown yesterday after Japan’s elimination from the Asian Cup, ready to go straight into the line-up?

All will be revealed when the team is posted an hour of so before tonight’s 8pm kick-off.
