Green, Murray and transubstantiation

1011

You couldn’t script that lot.  Charles-this is probably the worst Rangers team you have ever seen-Green is back, like a dose of something you never wanted first time around, appointed late on the day Rangers International receive a request for an Emergency General Meeting from rebel (hmm) shareholders.  The reason given to the Stock Market for his appointment was nothing to do with the EGM request, so don’t go implying it was a reactionary panic measure.

And who is behind the EGM request?  None other than Paul Murray, one of the few responsible for ensuring that Rangers FC (in liquidation) ran their affairs in good order.  His credentials for the position of Ibrox powerbroker are impeccable.

Before the news of the EGM was released, the Herald suggested, “Some informed sources believe the club will run out of money during this season”, as the Celtic online community has been asserting since their interims were published.

And yes, you noticed the transubstantiation from club to company.  I think it goes:

A club will run out of money.
A company ran out of money.

Keep the league flag flying high.

Just read the Spiers-Ogilvie article. Dear oh dear. I reckon Spiers would call Genghis Khan a thoroughly decent bloke.

Ogilvie doesn’t make it clear whether or not he has paid his EBT back yet, so I guess we’ll just have to draw our own conclusions on that…..

    Flag day memories

Jock Stein going around the track in a big posh black motor, a roller or something similar, past the jungle and stopping before the rangers end

as a young jungle boy I barely seen a flag going up in those days since it was always on top of the jungle

9 of them in a row

Having a lazy day so far, still lying around in my jammies. Shower, shave and Celtic Park coming up soon. Very excited at the prospect of watching the Bhoys for the 4th time in the last 11 days. Ghod is good.

Son also coming home to Glasgow after 8 years in exile in Aberdeen. Starts new job on Tuesday. 8 year placement. Ghodis indeed good.

  8. Two in a row – eight to go!

    God bless John Keane!

Looking forward to seeing a few of the new bhoys today.

I had an agreement with an old mate who supports deedco that we dont discuss fitba on Facebook.

That was six months ago. Today he blew up without any input from me. Him and two other Deedconians resorted to bile and vitriol aimed at.?..not Chuck, not Mathers, not Whyte….yes us.

Sick deluded people. They must see another Tsunami coming so its Timmy’s fault.

    Thats me and him over.

Numpty on shortbread just said the people in the east end of the city would be “running scared” of Charles Green!

  11. Apparently we’re running scared now that Chuckles is back. So says a Zombie being interviewed outside Station Park, Forfar (oh the irony!!)

one of the problems with the folks, like myself, who were just bhoys, during big jocks 9 in a row spell was that we didn’t know any other way

we didn’t know how tough it was during the 50s or how hard it would become during the 90s and probably took it all for granted, since it was all we knew

season after season after season after season and with a few significant European nights as well

I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

I suppose the pain of the huns success later made the Seville season all the batter and made me appreciate what we had achieved

  14. The Boy Jinky on

    Running scared….. thats pretty funny.

We all know the zombies fear is what drives them to the watp claims. .. always have done always will do.

My attempts at football conversations with hun mates over seven weeks back home in the last ten months always stopped when they told me CHARLIEBHOY was gonna sort us out.

I was speechless every time,so technically they won the argument!

    First time for everything….

  16. tamrabam,

I DO remember the 50s only too well. It has coloured the remainder of my Celtic life. For me (I was a wee bhoy then) it is worse than their bought 9-in-a-row.

regarding the ntv article about the bloke who shouted mccanns the man

I don’t know the guys name but I saw him all over Scotland following celtic for years afterwards

probably still goes even to this day and me and mate nicknamed him just that “mccanns the man”

  19. So Chuckles has returned, they must be in dire straits and as someone mentioned earlier, a new share issue on the offing. He has been asked back to be their “mouth from the south” to stir up the hordes and see if they can squeeze anything else from the Deidco support, but somehow blood and stone come to mind.

Enjoy the Flag Day today Bhoys and Ghirls, because down Govan way they are on a very shoogly peg.

Since the return of Chuckles to the comedy club I have been running scared of pishing myself laughing at the civil war at Aye Broke and the stupidity of the sevconians in welcoming him back.

    Nothing dumber than a sevvy.

It seems that an outbreak of zombies infecting humans is likely unless extremely aggressive tactics are employed against the undead. While aggressive quarantine may eradicate the infection, this is unlikely to happen in Scotland due to campbilism a sort of cannibalism. A cure would only result in some humans surviving the outbreak, although they will still coexist with zombies a sort of donutism.Only sufficiently frequent attacks, with increasing force, will result in eradication, assuming the available resources can be mustered in time. A sort of Zombie Apocalypse.

it looked very much like the mathers statement last week was to instill some “no one likes” feeling into the sevco halfwits. im sure we can expect much much more from chuckles aided and abetted by Scotland finest sash and apron wearers in the msm

    god bless the internet bampots

There is no way the new Jungle (flag day 1969) was as good as the old Jungle!

    No way indeed!

  29. When John Keane raises the flag today, let the roar be heard down govan way!! But for this guy, and of course the bunnet, you’d be standing in Asda/Tesco just now. Let’s hope that’s what ibrokes is about to become.

    Several goals today bhoys.
