  1. We were awful for 70-odd minutes, no drive, no urgency and looked like we would be out-fought and drop points.

Substitutions made the difference for me. Hayes gave us more drive than the disappointing Taylor while Christie and Rogic brought the best out of the rest of the team.

Today showed why we’ll win the league – we have by far the most strength in depth with Elyanoussi, Elhamed, Frimpong and two new signings to come in.

4-1 flattered us, Hamilton battled and defended bravely but sympathy isn’t my thing.

    Keep eyes on the prize.

Robbert, your mum wouldn’t like that kind of language.

    Let me sort that.

You feckin inbred bigoted arseholes get it and swallow.

Brian Rice said Hamilton would have to raise their game against us . If the bust a gut every like that every game day they wouldn’t be at the foot of the table . Not at our best today but at least we tried to entertain , just that the pitch made it near impossible . Like trying to play snooker on a hearthrug .

Disappointing first half hour of the second half with too many backward, side ways passing but credit Lenny for bringing on JH to get at them when they were tiring . RC some visionary passing and big Tam for putting Eddy in . Last but not least , Eddy . Must have felt like he was playing fitba in a phonebox , he had so little room to move . A world class player playing on a bottom class pitch really shouldn’t be allowed.

Yes Gerry, Scuddish fitbaw could do without plastic banners trying

    to look like fans.

  5. Leigh is playing well but drawing unwanted attention. A wee talk before Wednesday and a reminder of the importance of keeping his discipline is needed.

    Hope all is good …

The invisible man gets his 16th goal of the season … whooft :-)

Salary McCoist must have forgotten when wee Freddo actually stamped on Gary Ralstons back at the bigotdome

MY thoughts zaktly.how come all these guys with great memories did not remind him of that.

  7. I Honestly thought it was going to be a draw, we are chasing the game Lennons subs in my opinion are not right,I’m Shouting at the Telly for Fs sake put Paddy the Pole on,but in the end what do I know,Say what you like about Boli I think he is a better back than Taylor

  8. MM 2.40pm

We actually have a good record on plastic … but it’s not fitba … grass is grass

Celtic know how to win football games when the pressure is on …. look at every season after the “winter” break .. Klimala & Soro might have been signed for the CL qualifiers and not the 9 :-)

    Jonny Hayes 🍀

    our manager trusts our Jonny

  9. Taylor is struggling with the onus to get forward as a Celtic full back. He has to be willing to take on his man or he’ll substantially narrow the pitch for us with his pass backs.

Hayes in now for Fir Park imo.

Fat Sally said he looked at the Griff ‘incident’ seven or eight times. If it takes that many views to come to a conclusion then it’s ambiguous

  12. Fav Uncle 2.42pm

I thought Leigh left his foot in, but what not one person mentions the Accie player flings a wee elbow at the Griff hence the reaction … McMoist is playing to his usual gallery and wants Leigh done by the compliance officer .. hope Celtic’s legal team are on the case with the Accies flaying elbow

  13. glendalystonsils on

Thought Taylor was just ok but I said at half time we really miss wee Jeremie’s running down that side . Johhny Hayes coming on gave us more of that attacking threat which tied up their full back and led to Juliens goal.

  14. Their right full back was on a yellow card for most of the game, he should have been tested much more.

  15. Hamilton dug in and made us work to get room inside their box.

They were energetic in closing down Eddie near goal.

BBC stats say we had 15 corners. We must do better from them.

Accies had two and scored from one of them.

  16. Corkcelt @ 2:32….happy birthday …are you still 72 this afternoon? 1948 was a very good year…I Have to agree we were very poor for 70 mins…but got there …I don’t feel our midfield is right yet..Ntcham was very sluggish probably doesn’t relish plastic pitch….

We lost a very poor goal initially due to this backward football…James Forrest taking the ball back and giving away the corner…then Julien losing the big guy….

Anyway alls well that ends well with 4 great goals …on to Wednesday and a similar result….☘️☘️☘️

  17. glendalystonsils on

McCoist is an arse who will always try to find an anti Celtic angle . it looked to me like the Hamilton player had his arm wrapped round Griff’s right leg and that Griff was trying to free himself.

  18. Griffiths will get offered 2 games, even though he was booked, he was fouled before the incident and the guy rolls under his foot so to get his balance he has to straighten his leg, he did but not fully, a team of rugby players moaning about that, if he does, take the video of Morelos on Ralston at Ibrox, no foul no booking no retrospective action to the appeal oh and a good QC.

  19. 29th December ?????????

    7pts n counting :-) :-)

And for the panty wettest I think our goal difference is also getting bigger by the match

  20. Despite having a wobbly game.

I am putting big Julien in my top man of the match.

His goal was nothing short of sublime and the importance of it cannot be underestimated.

Moments like that CHANGE seasons and history.

French Eddy was his usual sublime and I thought Forrest and all three subs played well.

Thank god big Chris Sutton is on the tv to retort the retards like McCoist.

Bitter and twisted hun….no way griff incident should have been a red..no way.

Funny how when the newco goalkeeper was launching two footed assaults on players last season fat sally remained quiet.

  21. i'vehadtochangemymind on

What a change in momentum. Us in charge now. 2 wins in 2 away from home. GIRFUY. Happy birthday corkcelt.

  22. Bit of a get out of jail result. Not unlike killie last season.

Excellent debut. Great subs. Three vital points.

  23. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

“Fortunate Celtic need referee’s decision to scrape past Accies”

    “Score flatters Celtic”

    “Hamilton deserved better”

    Yawn.

We’ll played Bhoys. 3 points. Job done.

Personally thought it was quite a professional performance.

Accies sat in deep all match.

We didn’t panic, wore them down and got our reward.

Credit to Neil Lennon and his management team for the substitutions.

Bold and early. Made a difference.

Looking back to St Johnstone midweek, the purpose of putting Broonie into the back three became apparent today.

Drawing a match we need to win, defender off, Rogic on to further disorientate a packed defence, Broonie minds the store.

Finally, while I am feeling magnanimous, a cheeky thank you to the Accies coaching staff.

Down to ten men, bringing on a clearly unfit Templeton to run the line helped us too.

    Hail hail

    Keep The Faith

  24. I wouldnt judge any player of plastic, taylor needs space and a ball inside the defender he doesnt have great pace

  25. For me Leigh’s foot is dragged back and his momentum has taken him into the player. McCoist making a lot of Leigh turning into the player but refuses to see that his foot was dragged back causing him to turn in on the player with nowhere to place his foot.

McCoist is drawing attention to Griff and on the back of rugby park, Griff needs to keep his head down now for a game or two. Calm heads needed.

  26. So FF have decided its the REFS that are allowing Celtic to win the league Comments below)

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________

I reckon most people can now see that any element of competition in the League simply won’t be allowed or tolerated. It is a national embarrassment on a colossal scale, and without a complete clear-out of the SFA and of biased or intimidated officials, I genuinely cannot see how our game can recover as a competitive sport. The ref strike of 2010 should have been the wake-up call, but went unanswered.

    _______________________________________________________________________________________________

    1) Their behaviour has given them the upper hand with referees. Which leads on to

    2) This isn’t some Opus Dei conspiracy, in the way they believed the Masons assisted us. It’s pure and simple intimidation from their club and their support that has left referees with no other choice than to cheat in their favour. It’s human nature that you’d protect yourself and your family from harm when threatened. The biggest scandal is that this has been completely whitewashed from history.

  27. Well done to The Bhoys and Neil Lennon. I also had 4-1 as my Bet which is not important.

Great to see Tam Rogic back and setting up a goal. He just glides across the “Pitch”, he is just a very intelligent, graceful player who I never tire of watching when he is in full flow.

Dare I say it….but at times he reminds me of another Celtic legend in his intelligent and graceful play…Tommy Burns RIP.

No matter how good a team you are if the opposition just get men behind the ball and throw themselves at the ball etc, its always difficult….Celtic’s patience and good fitba won the day.

    HH

    ………..

    AN DUN…

You are correct mate, The Griff needs to keep his mind on the Ball and the game. if he gets suspended and Polish Paddy clicks with French Eddy….The Griff could find himself at 3rd choice again ?

Hopefully, Neil will have a word with him before Wednesday etc ?
