  1. The returnof weeron on

    Well, I have a confession to make…..

I was convinced that Maeda was offside on his goal. Even after a couple of slo-mo reruns.

Thing is, I was focused on Maeda’s position in relation to the defenders. He only had the goalie between him and the goal.

Then the penny dropped. He was behind the ball when Hatate passed to him.

    Also….

I don’t think that the fixture list is weighted against us. The SPFL ensure that one of the Glasgow teams is at home and the other away each match day. For better or worse, this tends to result in ‘tough’ away fixtures in the first round of fixtures for one of the two, and ‘easier’ fixtures in round 2. Rounds 3 and 4 follow the same weighting.

    This alternates by season.

Last season, our fixtures included Home games to hearts, huns, Aberdeen and Hibs in the first round.

I don’t think there is anything dastardly here. We’ll have some ‘tough’ fixtures out of the way and still have a decent lead. And we’ll have the ‘easy’ fixtures after the split.

Then we can have a wee moan next season about the SPFL loading our post-split fixtures with nasty away games….:)

    Cheers,

    Ronnie

  2. the return of weeron

After the Saint Mirren game, on er All Saints day, we will have played six away and five at home. At things stand Aberdeen and Hibs are in the bottom six so not necessarily more difficult away games than say Motherwell. That said with only 12 teams in the SPL you do not need a computer to organise the fixtures, SFTB could do it blindfolded. Maybe he did do it blindfolded I dont know. Anyways as you point out the next 11 fixtures are reversed which on paper bodes well for us, but we dont play on paper, though we do play on plastic. Either way Brendan knows the turf.

    Hope yer well!

  3. Prestonpans bhoys on

Apparently Naismith was complaining about our penalty 🙄, we missed it and had no relevance to the game. Complete knob…..

  4. The returnof weeron on

    Celtic Mac….

My point was that they don’t arrange the fixtures to disadvantage us.

Another aspect in the process (I believe) is to give all clubs a home game against a Glasgow club in each round. This was to ensure that the ‘big’ money finds its way to the ‘wee’ clubs in a steady flow. This has made it nigh impossible for them to give the 2 Glasgow clubs the same fixtures in each round.

Obviously, the ‘wee’ clubs don’t care about the money nowadays.

And finally, Hearts have been congratulated on their ticket exchange. Maybe they should be allowing away supporters to use the tickets of those home supporters who leave the stadium in the first half….

    Cheers,

    Weeron

    Quad

Oh has still scored more goals per minute on the park than anyone since he joined us.

    ——

    Thanks for pointing that out.

Mibby I’m spoiled in expecting a striker to give us a bit more and generally contribute to our attacking threat. Emphatic and somewhat swashbuckling win HH

  6. There’s no excuse for missing a penalty only a reason. Hatate bottled it. He has a way to go yet, which is good news for those of us that want to see Hatate in Celtic colours.

  7. Why is Palma not taking all the set pieces, including penalties?

This is what he excels at.

    Hopefully Reos last.

  8. Saint Stivs

you obviously missed the TV reports & evidence of the GB stealing tickets from Celtic Fans, so that they could be there with the Palestinian flags.

there were other unconfirmed reports of hypnotists standing on the Gorgie Road hypnotising non GB Celtic fans into holding Palestinian flags, eating onions and singing the Sash.

  9. Yesterday my bros attended the demo in Glasgow. They posted videos of thousands of folk at the demo.

The BBC, the Daily Retard and the Evening Times had feck all online about it.

Sunday’s main online story on the DR was with some top Scottish cop with a beard going on about Terrorism being his biggest fear with the Polis number cuts.

Tonight in the Evening Times, there is an article on the Tic away fans and their flags at the Hearts game.

Not even trying to hide their agendas/bias/dross anymore.

  10. The lack of conviction Celtic display, executing a penalty, gives rise to our European opponent’s assessment that we’re a weak minded opponent to be got at, one way or another, “If they can’t find anyone in their team to execute a simple penalty…. take every advantage when they bottle a simple pass”. It sends a conveying message we could well do without.

  11. And another thing :)…..

Went to see the DeNiro/DiCaprio film tonight.

De Niros character was into insurance fraud (that was the least of his evils)

One case involved taking out fire damage insurance before a fire on his ranch.

Wondered again, wow the feck did the Huns got away with that scam where they claimed to burn a super-bayern-bus that they never had ?

    ah well…

  12. Hibs apparently defend their usual Hibsing it at Ipox ..but they will be back to their true selfs next week !!?..quel surprise …Masonic quislings the lot of them ..just happens to be against us …foot on the throat next week Celts .., they wear our colours but that is it …they DONT share our ideals now any more than Murderwell …treat them as such 🍀

    Monkey nuts

I’m sure that phrase is banned in Britain cos it’s considered racist (I know I know)

    Or am I wrong?

  15. Primary school level geopolitical lesson: Britain? England and Wales; Great Britain? England, Wales and Scotland; UK? Great Britain and the occupied Six Counties.

  16. My daughters boy Saul asked the question

    What do you call them?

    Ah says

At one time there’s only one answer

Well a wee pearl diver on 4-1…oh suits you sir.

    Yaaaaaaas

    COYBIG.

    ……………….

    Well done ma Big Mucker.

I had MATT to Score at anytime and Celtic to win 3 -1 at odds of 22/1, so Celtics 4th Goal cost me a few quid.

However, I ALSO had the Correct Score of 1 – 4 on a Lucky 15 Bookies line at odds of 18/1.

So I had a small return from the Bookie, which will be much bigger IF Spurs win 3 – 1 Tonight ( Monday) ?

    LOL

  19. Many Thanks to HEADTHEBALL for the link yesterday. But unsure when I saw the name Chelsea in the link, but turned out to be one of the best, and safest, link so far.

    Muito Obrigado

Hello again all you young rebels.

Watched the game again this morning, Celtic played some

beautiful controlled football yesterday, some minor issues

I think have been mentioned earlier on here, but we can

only get better as we go on.

    MOOLOOLABA BHOY

Glad you got home to Queensland safe and sound, I know

you thoroughly enjoyed your visit to our CSC last week.

What a day and night it was, didn’t know what to expect

from those visitors to our town when our big music maestro

Richie launched into the rebs, but when that bunch of Sheila’s in

the corner put their dinners aside and started dancing about

like wild dervishes and singing with gusto, I knew we were in

    for a great time.

Hope to see you down again soon.

  22. Good morning all from a very cold Garngad. Brrrrrr

As I look out window I think thats a fog coming down.

Anyway great performance (more to come) and score yesterday.

Big Jimmy good luck on that bet tonight.

  23. SCANIEL

You’re welcome. The link came from someone else a few games ago. The commentary was foreign (maybe a good thing) but the picture was good with no buffering.

  24. 8 wins ✅

    1 draw 🔘

    0 losses ❌

    23 goals scored ⚽️

    6 goals conceded 🥅

The best start in the league since 2016/17. 🔥

Not bad for a team of ‘bargain buys’ and ‘development players’ which is apparently much worse off than last season.

  25. Very good performance yesterday with a few stunning goals . I hope Rio leaves the penalties to someone else now though , I also got it wrong regards Walsh ,I thought he had a not to bad a game , missed a few yellow cards for them mind you . HH
