  1. Celtic fans very very poor in this first half. Songbook was pathetic.

Team? Hard to say, this isn’t a football game.

Hope there are no serious injuries in the next hour.

  2. Naismith not a red card for kicking out at Hayes, that’s allowed now in Scottish football. Compliance Officer OKd it during the week

  3. Poor game, pretty even. They are a typical Levein team, long ball, sneaky late fouls, elbows etc. Defence has held up well, Brown holding it all together in the middle. Hayes and Sinclair both looking dangerous when they get the ball. We just need a bit more possession in the final third and we will create more chances.

  4. Wonder if beaton will get downgraded after allowing these hammer throwers a free hand, elbow, boot at all our players?

I think that I already know the answer.

  5. Poor game. We need to get it together second half. We need to move the ball quicker to feet.

Naismith is a poisonous reptile. Take away thuggish physical threat, hearts have nothing.

  7. Battling well just need to show a bit of class and score a couple, Naismith is one dirty scumbag wouldnt mind him getting it, no surprise whatsoever from them, to a man they are cluggers, no way will they finish with a full team

  8. Karma is a real bitch. The diets have attempted to kick and injure our players all game but the only serious injury is to a Hearts player – self inflicted.

  9. I’m happy with the performance by the defence.

I fancy a goal for the Hoops early 2nd half, then another.

Sincs, Jack and Jozo playing well.

Hearts are the Image of their Manager. Not nice but likely to do well in Scottish Fitba.

  10. What is the Stars on

Always expected a tough game against Hearts. Thugs

However one positive for me the team seem up for the fight. Showing plenty of togetherness and spirit

    That will do for me

  11. The linesman who got Morelos sent off last week hasnt got a game this weekend, says a lot.

  12. HT Hearts are brutal and are continuously fouling our players . The Ref has booked 3 but not enough.

The continuous fouling is breaking up the play into short passages. It doesn’t suit us and we haven’t been able to play our normal game.

We need protection from the referee. When Refs book players from other teams they look to even it up. So we should be careful.

We need to step it up in the 2nd half

  13. That was a fairly poor first half of “football”.

It’s all very well standing up to and resisting Hearts Aerial Bombardment and their Agricultural Style but you must avoid getting sucked into doing the same to prove you can mix it too.

They have more Farmer’s Boys types than we do. We need to zip the ball around and beat them on the ground. Griff showed the way near the end. Sinclair too earlier.

Craig Gordon is firing many more long balls than usual for Hayes and Griff to run on to. This is not working well. Time to play like Celtic.

  14. Ray Singh-Carr on

The minis being every bit as agricultural as expected. A real shame that petulant kick-outs were officially sanctioned during the week or that wee scumbag Naismith would be taking an early shower. If that mob of hammer-throwers end the game with 11 men on the park it will be a travesty. Hopefully we can sneak an early goal in the second half then hit them on the break for a second and a very useful 3 points.

  15. why would any really good technical player come to Celtic when absolute thugs like naismith & lafferty are facilitated to kick elbow spit & fume all over the pitch. u wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for punishment for naismith

  16. weebobbycollins on

A wee mention for our potential Escapegoat Jack Hendry…he’s standing up to this rough stuff. Well done son.

  17. No wonder Scottish football is on a downward spiral.

That bore no resemblance to football in the modern era.

Lafferty should have received a straight red as his studs were forward and off the ground.

Compliance officer should cite Naismith for kick and big black guy for elbow on Hendry but we know he wont.

If we had proper referees in Scotland then this type of game would be in the past.

Murrayfield would have been a more suitable venue .

  18. There will be some (SMSM) praising Hearts tactics and referring to it as an ‘old fashioned blood and snots Scottish football game’

No way would I risk James or Tom playing in this game. They’d both be booted off the park.

  19. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Scottish football, backwater and why ? Thuggery style of play by someone who not so long ago was in charge of the national team.

Why is that wee niaf still on the park ? Kicked the prone Hayes, 2 maybe 3 times. Dived too. Coward.

The worst assault was on Hendry. Surprised he is still playing.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That must be highlighted more. First I’ve heard.

  21. Any football was from Celtic and we’re set up for a win in the second half , against the new Hearts brand of anti football.

We look light weight up front but solid at the back, hopefully football will win through for all three points and our dancers look in the mood, to find a way through.

If it stays turgid, I can see a set piece win with one of our bigger boys nodding home a winner.

    score forecast one nil win.

  22. Bhoyjoebelfast on

If referee’s were allowed to view evidence brought to their attention by a concerned manager during the interval- then Naismith would not be involved in the second half.

  23. weebobbycollins on

When I played for the boys guild it was as rough as this and we were all Catholics :-)

  24. Need more from Griffiths and McGregor. Griffiths on back foot and lazy, should be a boost that Berra is off. Mcgregor isn’t getting in ball so we can’t get playing. Open up no10 position and we will open them up. As usual set peices abysmal. Defence holding up well, Kouassi mopping up second balls and Broonie simply immense.

  25. I too think Jack Hendry is having a good game by standing up to the thugs. Tougher than I thought he was.

Now in the Rover… better atmosphere & music

    Mon the hoops

    Naismith is a snake
