Weak performance from a weak Celtic team.
Any body that is happy with that performance, needs to look a bit closer.
At 2-1 with 5 min to go….a pal of mine dropped by…I went to make some coffee and said..it will be 2-2.
I was right….and it was predictable, because we cannot defend.
We could lose the league with this team….and considering the opposition, that’s shocking.

Tony Stokes. I’m just desperate to increase the chance of us scoring.
He’d do that; a no-brainer. Or maybe we should introduce a 32 year old unfit, slow, with even slower reactions !
That’s against the fact that I think Tony is selfish on the pitch, makes too many wrong decisions near goal.
But right now, we need someone of proven ability (ish) not a gamble, not another punt wasting the club’s finances.
Allowing Deila more cash in January, will inhibit the next guy’s chances big style. The current plethora of poor signings (and a few of Lenny’s too) will financially hamstring us for 3 or 4 years.

Right – never got a ticket at Tynecastle, so came home with the radio off, and just finished watching the game a minute ago. Two comments:
1) Any Walker is a total nugget – clearly hates Efe, and not a good word to say about Celtic – and I know about his parentage, brothers family, et. al., but no excuse for him being a complete balloon.
2) Tanner – words fail me – how can such a wee bigoted, Celtic-hating, Hun scumbag, ratbag get air time – he is getting worse every time I see him, and he makes no attempt now to hide his loathing for Celtic. His comments at the end of the programme were an absolute disgrace.
Anyway – on to the fitba’.
Good festive game – control flowed from team to team over the 90 minutes. Celtic unlucky with injuries, but – other than breaking up our rhythm in the first half – I don’t think were were weakened by the substitutions.
Gordon – couple of very good saves – the one down at his left hand side was a cracker. Couldn’t do anything about the goals
Mikael – still not at his best, and poor at their first – been caught out at that back post a few times now. That said – he got a toe on it, and the wee Hertz nyaff was lucky to see it hit his foot and go in.
Boyata – looked good while on the park – covered for Simunovic well
Simunovic – Flips between being excellent, and going on daft mazy runs that leave the rest of his defensive team scrabbling back to cover for him – just defend big man!
Wee Man – brilliant as usual – loves a tackle, and misses very few, if any. Keeps it simple.
Joe Hansen – better today I thought – a few good early balls on the deck (for a change)
McGregor – worth his place
Jimmy – Good tackling back (Walker gave him a roasting – calling him ‘stupid’ – for the free kick that led to their 2nd – I was glad to see him back fighting for the team at that stage)
Rogic – good close control – great goal
Cifti – tried, God bless him, but nahh
Bitton – good
Armstrong – hard to say – went off too early to judge
Still fizzing at that twat Tanner.

My disappointment is focussed on us dropping points yet again from a match we seemed to have won.
I agree with Praecepta that this team’s game management is poor – look at all the European games this season where we lost 2- goal leads.
We have enough players with superior skill to the opposition to score goals and win matches in this league, but there is a valid sense of under achievement from many I speak to. There is no sense of entitlement, more a frustration that we should be achieving more.
In my opinion there are a few problems which need to be addressed.
Firstly, I think we need a proper defensive midfielder to play in front of our centre backs, instead of the two” holding mids” we use. A Neil Lennon type. I know most of the top teams use Ronny’s 4-2-3-1, but I think it doesn’t always suit us. Roberto Martinez uses a 4-1-4-1 set up and I think this would work well for us.
I like Stuart Armstrong but have been dismayed to see him continually wasted out wide on the left.
I also think Scott Allen has a lot to offer but my acceptance of the patient introduction after injury has given way to frustration at the lack of opportunities he has been given recently.
What has happened to Stefan Johansen? Certainly not worth his place in the team presently.
I worry that Nadir Ciftci will never make any significant contribution in a Celtic Jersey.
I think we are too lightweight in midfield without Scott Brown. I am one of those who wanted us to sign John McGinn last summer – maybe 2016 after he has helped Hibs to win their league.
On a positive note I have no doubts that we will win the league and I am excited at the thought of the young Scottish players we could build a strong team around ( Christie, Armstrong, Allen, Henderson, Tierney) with 2 or 3 old heads to guide them.
Never in the history of the Scottish game has ANY manager been judged solely on Europe.
By in large our European record is abysmal with a few notable exceptions. If Celtic managers were judged solely on Europe as you suggest, we have had two successful manager in our entire history.
This is like listenin’ to the ole SuperScoreBoard.
It is December. We are still top of the League.
We have been hampered by injuries and loss of form to our key players from last year.
Any of our players that a team could be built around are sold as soon as possible; we could have had a spine of the team that read Forster/van Dijk/Wanyama/Hooper instead of the current crop of Hoopslegends.
So the ones that are left are flawed; it is what it is.
We’ve had better times, we’ve had worse times.
Try supporting the West Indies cricket team, or Cowdenbeath.
Ghod knows Celtic have few enough friends in Scottish football; don’t jump to the front of the queue to stab them in the back.
…and another thing – Walker (at Hertz penalty claim) said that Cifti made a “…two-handed push in the bottom of <> back…”, when clearly, as the TV replay was illustrating at the time, he did no such thing.
They say what they want to say, irrespective of the truth that is in front of their eyes – pre-determined negativity about Celtic – Huns and soup-takers the lot of them (apologies to those who don’t like that particular term – substitute your own alternative).
