We don’t expect to win every game 4,5 or 6 nil but we would like to be entertained

  2. All I’m hearing today…..excuses.

    We had injuries…blah, blah, blah.

To actually think today was a good result….you must be joking surely.

Top of the league…yes, which is no surprise.

However, to be honest….we have been dire this season.

Not good enough….by a long way.

McGregor was decent today. I’d give him 7/10 ability but almost always 10/10 effort.

The weighted through ball for Biton was fantastic.

Going through rest of the team:

    Gordon 7/10

    Lustig 6

    Boyatta 4

Simonavic 7 ( very decent player nae pace)

    Ambrose 8 ( he’s a 6 average over a season)

    Tierney 7

    Armstrong 6

    Forest 4

    Ciftci 3

    Johanssen 4

    Rogic 6

    Biton 7

    GMS 4

  4. Aiden bhoy

After the Molde games i felt we needed to move and replace Ronny so im not defending him.

Thought we should draw a line under it all and give a new man the remainder of this season and the January transfer window to shape his own side a little, plus then the close season window for next seasons tilt at Champions League qualification……..so yeah……i do not think that he is good enough.

I just think that games like today and any other day are expected wins now for us.

Its as if no other manager in our history ever lost a game or failed to win at Tynecastle.

Spanner was at great pains to point out that we have only won 3 of the last 9…..its not a great spell but who doesn’t have them during a season apart from the occasional immaculate season?

Will he be as pedantic tomorrow and be as eager to point out how things have been going down south?

1 win in 4 in the 1st division and failure to beat Livingstone, Morton and getting beat by Falkirk.

    Nah…..probably not.

I just think theres too much of a twist put on anything we do now while other things are conveniently overlooked.

Any other season that we came out of a weekend fixture having managed a hard fought away draw without losing ground on our challenger would have been viewed as not too bad but because that challenge is viewed as being one that shouldn’t really be a challenge at all doesn’t mean that games like today never happened before and we just turned up every time and won easily.

The thing that really bugs me about all of this goes back to what we endured in the 90s……we were gash…….not much better than many in the league and worse than others yet anything won then was remarkable yet now it is worthless.

Personally i thought we did well today……far from perfect but yeah……i enjoyed that game today…….4 good goals and all in all…….a pretty good advert for the Scottish game as well.

I don’t doubt that some posters only want the best for us when they let go what they feel and i apologise for phrasing my post as nastily as that.

  5. 67Heaven .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I am wee Oscar...... Ipox belongs to the creditors on

Word on the Street is that sevco have ‘sent’ £5m to MA but only if he ends all lawsuits against them. If uncle Mike decides to go ahead and wins, it costs him nothing as sevco would have to pay all the Court costs. Methinks this would make a considerable hole in the £5m raised ……

  6. QUESTIONS:

    Is Cifti better than Stokes?

WHY, when holding onto a hard-fought 2-1 lead at Swinecastle with 10 minutes to go, does the manager opt to replace Rogic with GMS when like-for-like-with-more-skill-and-ball-holding-ability Scott Allan is the obvious choice?

THREE wingers on the park trying to hold a narrow lead?

He won’t even play TWO strikers up front FFS.

I’ve said it many times, but can we finally wave Ronny – nice guy, no cigar – goodbye? Or am I just short of patience and full of Green-Hunnism?

BTW – big Stubbsy looked decked-out for an important job interview in the Sky studio today….

  7. glendalystonsils on

I haven’t read too many posts complaining that 2-2 is a bad result.

I have however read posts expressing concern about the performance of the team, the performance of some individuals in the team, some of the decisions made by Ronny Deila, and (last but not least) our inability to hold on to a lead in this game and in several other games.

  8. I’m not shocked at al by the preformance , for that is what it was of Maclean today, another cheat with a whistle who allowed Hearts to dish out the strong arm stuffand ignore blatant fouls on our players throughout the match.

I’m concerned Ronny thought he got his team back today, we are weak in the midfield and cannot give ourselves a platform to maintain leads that we take often in games. I would sell Forrest , the way he is playing is of someone who does not want to get injured as he knows a move is on the cards, the balance in midfield is not right, too many ball players and no dig,Lustig is a shadow of his former self and suspect defensively, the window will give us an indication if Ronny is staying if he is not backed then a new manager will arrive after the Euro’s in France, Michael o Neill or Lars Laggerback, just two who may be willing to come here.

  11. Thunder Road

No need to apologise . My point is I didn’t expect us to win the game today and I’m not to confident of a win on Wednesday. Last year at Christmas we dropped 5 points but strengthened in January and went on a good run will need to do it again by the looks of things.

So did Celtic, though some of them were on the park.

  14. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Aidenbhoy- by all means express a point of view but hold onto a sense of proportion, and don’t forget your history.; at least make the lowlife in the MSM/Level 5 earn their money.

When the story finally comes out we don’t want them saying ‘ What did we do to undermine Celtic? Nothing, to be truthful for once.

We just sat back and let them got on with it’.

  15. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

All 4 goals today were good goals.. So 2-2 a fair result nobody can complain about the outcome.

What we can moan about is the bigger picture

  16. Watched this latest episode of the horror that is our season in the Railway Hotel in Denny. Enjoyed the company and the craic. Our goals were a joy to watch as was the Mini’s equalisers. The rest was a nightmare, come on why the feck do you take off Rogic and replace him with Mackay-Steven.

  17. DDBIA

But surely we should call it as we see it ? The SMSM will never change watch sky for the half hour before the game today total anti Celtic.

  18. Today was an entertaining, hard fought, competitive game that we could have won. Although we are top of the league and have more resources than our domestic competitors, we are entitled to nothing.

Alan Pardews team never had one shot on goal yesterday against the might of Bournmouth and yet he he lauded as doing a great job.

Expectations Bhoys, entitlement ,never. Wrong side of the river.

    We were 2-1 up today….we couldn’t see it out…sadly.

And you did manage to cover all the excuses.

Of course, anybody that isn’t satisfied with the way we played today….must be a hun eh?

    Geeza break.

  21. If Aiden Nesbitt is scoring goals for the development squad

Why isn’t he in the first team.and get young Henderson back in January, and Exiled Tim I’m sure you have been on the Buckie to day I will say it again don’t keep blaming referees for.another dismal performance. Was the Ref to blame last Saturday when we got well beaten by Motherwell.

  22. Ok wee change of subject here but depending on the score the morra, on Tuesday night with a win over Livi the Bairns could be 3 points or 1 behind the leader(s). Then on Saturday they are away tae lowly Alloa while the zombies are away tae the Super Sons.

So much for eat the breid blowing the League away, might be a case of blowing the League.

  23. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

    Aidenbhoy- exactly!

No shortage of people who want to give Celtic a good kicking; no reason for us to hold the Club down while they do it.

They’ll kick us when they’re down, and especially when we’re up; and for all the problems we have we are more up than down just now[ although treading water is probably more accurate].

The commentator on Shortbread this afternoon said’ Ronnie Deila has to win the treble to save his job’.

And there are sadly Celtic ‘supporters’ listening who lap up all this guff.

Too many of the referees are incompetent. Several referee Celtic differently from our opponents.

    You can see that.

  25. Timbhoy3

When the referee is to blame imo for us losing or dropping points, I will say so.

The very fact that I thought he was shocking today and the fact we dropped two points really have little to do with each other, do you want me to say I blame the referee, would that make you feel better ? you could then laugh at me for blaming the referee for dropping points.

Seriously stay off the sherry, if you can’t see the difference you really need to.

There are supporters who do buy into that crap unfortunately . But it shouldn’t stop us in here posting what we feel . For me Ronny is done and has been since Molde away and nothing I have seen since has changed my mind . It’s poor that people in here think you’re a hun for saying that.

*it’s always been that way, well since 1912 anyway.

We were kicked off the park once again, lost 2 players to brutal tackles and may have some more out for the trip tae the City of Discovery.

It’s now about time that the custodians of our great club do something about the officiating in Scotland. It’s all right talking about DD being livid when he heard about bader’s shenanigans but our support deserves better. They spend good money following the side and are left with questions but no answers.

Too many decisions are going the wrong way in an effort tae not only promote sevco but also tae stop us filling our cupboard with silverware, including the dreaded as they see it TIAR.

This is not something new but surely now in the 21st century can we do something about it. I have written extensively about the anti-Celtic stance that has been taken when the authorities realised that the nice wee team fae the east end of Glasgow was now a threat tae the Calvinistic domination held by the Spiders and then the Hi Hi.

In 1912, Glasgow Merchant sir john ure primrose, a former Lord Provost of the dear green place and whose great nephew was the former arse goalie and anti-Celtic pundit, became chairman of the zombies. He was a fervent uionist, staunchly anti-Catholic, and publicly allied them to the masonic cause. He also saw his clubs rivalry with Celtic as a money-making enterprise, and sectarianism catered to a large niche market.

The key phrase here is he “publicly allied them to the masonic cause”. The need tae protect them at all costs has been there since then.

Until that black arts proclamation they had won only 6 Championships and 4 Scottish Cups compared to our 10 Leagues and 8 Cups even though they had been in existence 16 years longer than us.

Ridiculous but obvious decisions made from Park Gardens and sanctioned by the hun meeja from the days of Jimmy Quinn through George Patterson and Charles Patrick even intae the reign of our greatest manager and an alleged handshaker. It was all ABC.

There is a former widnae salesman with too much influence out there, not just in Scotland but it looks like in Europe tae.

Today’s MITB who’s brother played for the deid club and also attempted tae play for the “black north” was the same 4th official that had wee Lenny up before the beaks.

We have this season his favourite pupil being castigated by managers; none BTW have been sanctioned for that so far, unlike the now Bolton manager. Nae wonder he effed off. Lenny’s partner’s da played for the zombies, that didnae dae him much good.

Yesterday, in another day of baffling decisions big Yogi II stated; “Danny Devine is in there adamant that the ball hit him in the midriff, but I will reserve judgment on that because I think Willie is right up there with the best of officials.

“I just hope he’s got it right. It would be hard to take if it wasn’t, and I’m quite sure he has. We’ll hold our judgment until we see it on the TV.”

Compare this with the kai hjohansen fan that while managing up in Perth referred tae naesurname as the gaffer; “We lose a penalty kick at the start of the second half and it’s not a penalty for me. The boy has jumped into Paul Quinn and Paul hasn’t done anything.

“He’s not tried to impede him, so for me it is a really soft penalty.

“The linesman should help him there. I’m not exactly sure who gave it, so it makes the task more difficult and, at 2-0 down, it looks like it’s going to go against us.”

“We should get another penalty in the last minute when Carl Tremarco handballs it and, at the very least, we deserved a draw.”

Yogi does his best to make excuses for “eyes in the back of his heid” while sheep mcsleekit points fingers at him.

FFS Celtic do something about this.

  28. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

What we’re seeing on the park is the product of the managed decline policy of the Board. Ronny’s appointment is part of that strategy.

  29. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

McLean isn’t incompetent he is a calculated Hun

His arrogance is straight out of the Lanarkshire /Dallas mentality which governs our men in black

He will always be an arrogant hurting Hun omeo. 8).

  30. Celticrollercoaster supporting Shay, our bhoy wonder along the way on

I am not the biggest Ronny fan in the world, and have criticised him often this year. I do think he works with one hand tied behind his back. I also do not think that his performances in Europe this season has been unacceptable and feel we have gone backwards in his seasons in charge. Yet I decided to check his year on year stats compared to last year and the domestic results do not show this. More on this tomorrow as I am off oot to Coat-de-bree !

Perhaps we just get carried away at times wanting to win all the games, or get disappointed with failing to close out or hold on to games, but it is as not as bad as the MSM want us to believe ( Europe excepted)

Maybe we should step back at times and reflect before executing our manager.
