  1. As far as this weekend goes, with the Sheep playing ICT at home and us playing Hertz away, not dropping any points in the title race is hardly a disaster. We do have problems but they have not been exacerbated this weekend. We seem to be getting more than our fair share of injuries to pivotal players whether by accident or poor training practices.

My jury is still out on Ronny but if we ARE going to change things around then we ought to at least give any new man the chance to oversee the january window signings. Still can’t make my mind up over whether we should stick or twist with RD.

  2. Disappointing end to the game. Judging only from the radio I didn`t think they had troubled the Celtic defence much in the second half but so many free kicks were conceded in the last few minutes.

When are the Celts going to score late in a match?

  3. two unnescessary pointless free kicks given away at end of both halves, JF still waiting for a decent performance from him, poor player looks overweight,

SA looked like he could not wait to get an excuse to get subbed, his confidence is gone.

Going forward we looked ok but still we continually pass the ball across and back to many times. ML his legs have gone,he is knackered.

Nobody up front to finish some good play, but hey ho we are still top with a game in hand.

  4. Thunder Road

We all get a bit emotional just after the game. My problem at the moment is I have no confidence of winning any game we play . The second goal today you can’t do anything about but we are at a low ebb at the minute and things need to change. Ronny doesn’t do himself any favours at times.

  5. We all realise that it doesn’t matter if Ronny is in charge or we sack him and bring in someone else. The transfer policy and recruitment strategy is independent of the head coach. He works with what he is given. Not easy when the club has had a few poor windows. I feel for him although I don’t entirely agree that the team is all crap either.

    Expectation levels … ?

We should be comfortable in the league at this stage and still involved in Europe.

    That’s not the case .

Whether it’s board, management, players or whatever… I’m not qualified to say.

I think, like a lot of folk, we are seriously under-performing.

    Fix it, Celtic !!!

  7. 2 comments on here regarding the referee. you pair must be watching a different game. I thought the man with the whistle had a decent match.and mind he could have given hearts a penalty when Ciftici nudge one of the hearts players in the penalty area.why don’t you 2 admit it we are not a good team. Don’t blame others which is easy to do on here.mostly when they know that the team is rubbish.

  8. Win/win – draw/draw – loss/loss = same as before weekend fixtures.

Disappointing that once again we can’t see a game out when in a winning position (this team suffers from very poor in-game management).

Pluses; Gordon, Tierney, McGregor – Biton/Rogic for 2 classy goals and Efe for knuckling down to a decent shift.

Too many powder-puff tacklers in this team = countless stupid fouls awarded against us and today it proved costly.

Given the pre-match and post kick-off injuries – today’s result wasn’t the worst in the great scheme of things (winning the league).

Can’t figure out how GMS got the nod over Allan as the last sub. Would’ve thought Allan might have helped us slow the game down and retain possession.

Still it should give us enough talking points to keep us going till the Dundee game.

    Happy Holidays!

The poverty of this league is astonishing.Marginally better than the League of Ireland and the Irish League. With our resources we should be blitzing teams out of sight.

As I said earlier Aberdeens draw getting Ronny off the hook.

  10. We looked very good for the first 15 minutes. Why can’t we maintain that level for longer periods in games?

We have some good SPL players in our team. It’s enough to do well in Scotland but nothing else. Efe, Tierney and Gordon played well. A keeper shouldn’t be beaten from 30 yds though. Looked a little flat footed.

I can’t understand what managers see in James Forrest. He has one or two great games a season and the rest is shocking. Again, we can afford that luxury in Scotland but he’s not for me.

Top of the league is good, but we don’t look comfortable up there.

  11. I enjoyed watching that game, ok it’s a pity we couldn’t have prevented a cracking equaliser but there is no doubt that it provided entertainiment.

It was not numbing to watch like the Murderwell game.

Of course there is a requirement for much needed improvement , both individually as players and tactically but that game will not drive fans away.

Hail, Hail to all and especially to those who made the effort to go to Tynecastle.

  12. Timbhoy3

You stick up for the referee.

He was shocking and to say otherwise is deluding yersel.

I didn’t blame him either, see if you actually read what I wrote you would see that.

    HH

  13. TCR

Agreed :-) we should be doing much much better with the resources we have in this league in comparison to other, questions need to be asked why we are not

    Hail Hail

  14. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

Ronnie and Jonny must carry the can

We have resources and wage bill to shame our opponents. Yet we are more or less level pegging them.

That said we have players who are going backwards.

    Armstrong

    Johansen

    GMS

    Ambrose ( was good today)

    Gordon

    Forest

    Listing ( age related)

    Izzy

We then have a group who are basically pish.

    Add to that terrible signings

Also a guy who look like he might be good but doesn’t get played – Alan.

We are relying on 3 guys who are out injured ( Griffiths Brown Commons) so no wonder we are poor.

Other than Tierney I’m struggling to get my head round Ronnie and his philosophy.

Embarrassing Euro results now being carried on in SPL…

Lawwell stop this vanity project now …!

This team havent the stamina, will or guts to fight for a winner.

    Hopelessly trained.

  16. We need a tough tackling ball winning midfield leader to come in till broonie is fit again.

    till later all KTF

  17. Ronnies Celtic team lost 3 domestic league games in 2015. A quite remarkable stat.

We loose a last minute screamer to earn a point with a depleted team to stay top of the league with a game in hand,

And yet the vitriol pours from the majority who wont be happy till Ronnie sacked, no matter what.

  18. glendalystonsils on

If Ronny is backed in the transfer window, that would suggest the board are giving him another season.

As long as they don’t ‘back’ him with more crud ,that is.

If they don’t back him it would suggest the ol’ black spot is being readied.

Either way, there is a hell of a lot of work needing done to knock things into a shape resembling Celtic.

  19. Always look on the bright side.

In today’s Herald, Ronny assures us that squad will be stronger after transfer window.

  20. I don’t give a monkey’s who the first team coach, team boss or manager or what ever they are called is, I want to be see a Celtic team playing entertaining ,quality football winning games playing the Celtic way, I know we can’t win every game but it is up to the other teams to attain our level not for us to drop to their’s ,thats what’s happening just now.

The problem is that is not just now that it is happening.

It has been happening for some time.

The Substitution of Rogic for a wide player really changed the flow of the game. Hearts would have came into the game more anyway, but the change made it pretty much made it one way traffic.

Now that is down to the manager.

The (lack of match) fitness is down to the manager too. A key point, given Ronny was going to make us more athletic etc.

Tactically, he seems inept. For example, I can’t recall a change from the bench, he’s made that won us the match. There will be some ?

Man-management……..I was going to write a lot here. But ask yourself the question Tony Stokes or Ciftci ? Originally was going to pose the question Stokes or Cole…… but I started to laugh, then cry and sob :-)

Many of the recruits, just should not be in a Celtic jersey. How someone could think that recruiting 25% of a miserable Dundee United team would improve Celtic is beyond me. The guy Armstrong was worth a punt, no doubt, but Ciftci and GMS…………

    Ronny (*) is destroying us.

*others doing it off the pitch too.

    Notthebus,

Deila should be judged on his European results.

    Gubbed by Legia,Malmo,Maribor and Molde.

Then an absolute laughing stock in the Europa.

A dud appointed by a £20,000 pound a week self appointed master of operations.

Get the lot of them out now.

  24. Wee Forrest cost us the 3 pts today , he contributed nothing else, hope everybody get”s back safe from swinecastle especially the Girvan Bhoys !

  25. NOTTHEBUS

I don’t see the vitriol you are talking about. Most folk I read don’t want to put the boot in they just don’t think Ronny is up to the job or Peter Lawwell for that matter. We all want the same thing Celtic doing well. I backed Ronny and the board . But we are going backwards at an alarming rate.

Ronnies Celtic team took 3 points from 18 in the Europa League. A quite depressing stat.

You can blame the board for the players provided but Ronnie has to take the blame for persisting with a system that does not suit the players .What happened to the so called pressing game?,we are soft and can be easily bullied in games. Is that the level of our ambition that we are saying Aberdeen dropped a point yesterday so no damage done.

  27. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

Celtic Board need to do something to engage fans because the team aren’t doing it. Nor is the manager.

Henke ( I don’t even know what his management credentials are) would add thousands on to the gate and increase the Celtic pound profile share price over night. Does he need a Stubbs or a Hughes in with him… Or dare I say it Mjably?

That’s just a random thought – my real point is we need to do something to spark life in to our Club. Will the drop in share price do it?

I’m not throwing toy out of the pram because we drew with Hearts but I’m not happy we’ve dropped so far that this now being seen as a decent result by some.

A lot of very good points, although apparently, truth is often confused with mine shafting on the blog.

  29. great point today considering the utter pish that plays for us these days.

    KTF bring on Dundee

  30. That was an enjoyable if tense competition.

I thought a draw at half time about right having lost impetus after changes.

Second half we were in charge but became too defensive further back and JF’s tackle was the kind a forward makes when too near his goal.

So Hearts got a draw where I thought we had done enough to wing away from home in difficult circumstances.

So a point clear with a home game in hand in spite of a regular series of injuries to key players since the season started is not a bad position to be in given or as a result of the resources we command.

A marked improvement on last week which was essential.

  31. BIG-CUP-WINNERS

You say Tony Stokes or Ciftci ? I get your point but surely Stokes has only to look at Lee Griffith as an example on how to turn things round.

  32. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

Agree – posts are better today – I guess because there is less scope for subjective judgement – the evidence is before us and building so we are all starting to see a similar picture emerge before us.

Like most Celtic fans I like Ronnie but I have to say his post match comments today seemed deranged to me. I think he hasn’t really grasped the expectation. Not his fault – with hindsight he was thrown in out of his depth. He’s a young enthusiastic manager. I’d love to see him do well but he won’t do so at Celtic. He may come good in 10!years but I wonder if he thinks it through enough?

We were 2-1 up 15 mins to go and we’re still outnumbered at the back. Basic coaching failure.
