  2. Well done Celtic, well done Lenny, spot on again.

That was one of the worst displays of cheating from a referee, the tackle on Charlie near the end could have ended his career, not even a talking to, disgracefull Mibbery.

PS – Sandman. Spot on about Provan’s interpretation of a goalscoring opportunity.

  4. Best team performance i’ve witnessed up there.

    Fans were immense and GBNL.

    GIRUY Butcher.

  5. Another great result against a team who hoped that our defence would make silly mistakes. No chance, that was the best centreback pairing yet, thought Wilson was outstanding.

    Horrible conditions yet again.

  6. Nuclear Bovril and a Half Munched Pie on

Anybody know if the booking at the penalty was the only Yellow?

2 straight reds and constant niggly thug play ignored by ref.

  7. Another solid performance from our team, once again I can’t pick out a poor player. Consistency all over the pitch, this team will be hard to beat.

  8. Thats as comfortable a performance at Butcher’s butchers as we have put on. We need to be more clinical though and put our chances away.

Murray will be disappointed his hunnery didnt result in injury. He speaks to Foran 1st half for a blatant foul when Hooper is away and follows it up with ignoring an assault on Brown despite awarding free kick? That lunge on Mulgrew near end is a red card in Engurland!

  9. Could the stars align so that Thatcher dies on the same day as Rangers?

I’d probably die myself from laughing.

Quarter-final draw LIVe Monday afternoon, 2.30pm on Sky Sports.

Only the SFA could do less to glamourize their tournament. Why not draw it Thursday midnight in a back-garden shed in Dunoon, in the teeming rain?

    Absolutely brill!

  13. Brilliant brilliant win – we now must have that attitude in every game – do not give the huns a even a chink of light in the darkness.

  14. This looks like a stronger Celtic team than last year. Mentally,as well as physically.

I think we are in a situation where we will be selling a player on in the summer…..and maybe in each summer. However, if Neil can keep the majority of this group together, we could end up with a decent side.

  18. Very very good 2 nil win there, well done Bhoys

I thought we did exactly what was required as we battled for everything first of all and did not let inverness get a real foothold in the game. Yes they had a few shots on target that fraswer did well enough to save and a period of pressure here and there but we were neer in trouble there.

The workrate off the ball was top notch all over the pitch, i thought scott brown and gary hooper in particular were always closing down and hassling the home players when they were on the ball, especially for the penalty. I think Hooper was decent at that last season but has added even more of it this season and it’s paying dividends

at the back we were so solid looking it seemed that thomas rogne was first to every cross coming in from either side and kelvin wilson looked very assured for me, apart from the 1 time he dwelled on the ball but managed to recover just about. I was not sure about kelvin wilson but let’s hope that is a sign of his ability from now on. It looks like the defence has lots of options that can all be trusted now.

no real poor performances out there from the Hoops on the pitch and as for the HOOPS in the stands OUTSTANDING again Bhoys and Ghirls

“were doing a conga when rangers die, were doing the huddle when rangers die” “who’s that coming over the hill is it the taxman is it the taxman”

    Brilliant

    Mon the HOOPS

Well done Celtic. Well done Lenny. Well done the fantastic support. Happily watching the rain fall in Dublin. Feels like summer !!!!

    Delighted, difficult game, opposition, conditions.

Probably away game in Iceland next round.

    Turnaround down to players.

    Support brilliant today

    Sammi unplayable today

We will probably have another difficult away tie …Oh how I love our Lenny.

  22. I thought Lennon got his tactics and selection spot on.

Samaras was once again extremely effective as a battering ram picking up diagonal balls, scored well and was studs length away from another goal.

Hooper did everything but score, he and Samaras complemented each other today.

Commons looked bit off the pace had good touch but seemed to run out of steam in some situations. Hopefully the game will raise his fitness.

Brown, Ledley and Wanyama were OK but it was a scrappy game and bad conditions.

I thought Kevin Wilson and Rogne- excepting a few bobbles of the pitch were faultless.

At RB Matthews was very good and was also defensively good this time..Lustig will have a hard time pushing into the team.. bu then Lennon chooses Cha sometimes???

At LB Mulgrew was fine kept playing the ball out but did nothin too fancy, decent delivery at times.

Forrest… nearly scored a few flashes of speed.

Stokes… ahrdly noticed him at the end really.

Overall a very pragmatic performance at this time of year.

A good win for the hoops I was surprised to see our top scorer Stokes on the bench but to be fair Hooper and Samaras put in a shift and Sammis goal was terrific.I thought Wilson and Rogne looked the part with young Matthews again outstanding no failures only winners in the Celtic team today.Onwards now to Tyncastle our most important game of the season so well done to Lennie and the Bhoys.H.H.
