As always, it’s important to get the players you want, not end up with fourth or fifth choice, so on that measure, I’m happy Ronny Deila has secured a player he knows well. Jo Inge Berget is a wide attacking player, who will fit into the manager’s high-tempo, pressing, style of play.
The deal, a loan which gives Celtic the option to sign the player permanently if he’s successful, places incentives in the right places.

Just to let you all know, we had our first chick hatched this year last night. It is jet black, don’t know it’s sex yet, takes about 12 weeks to sex chicks. Hoping for a wee hen, but will accept whatever. Whoopee. :-)))

Good!
I am glad — in the nicest possible way.
All of us on this blog — and I include myself — are guilty of taking things far too seriously and literally at times.
Passions run high about many a thing — football, politics, culture, music, religion, sport, whisky, love, and cheese on toast ( with a nod to the dissenters on that score ) but from time to time it is necessary, in my humble opinion, to resort to complete and utter lunacy and the earth shatteringly ridiculous.
I recall the “musician”, perfumer, artist, and general clever cloggs Brian Eno reviewing an album for NME or Melody Maker way back in the seventies. One of the comments that stuck from his opinion was that the record ” Lacked the necessary insanity!”
I love that phrase — lacks the necessary insanity.
Sometimes, just sometimes, we should all remember that there is a need for a little insanity in our approach to anything.
Apparently it keeps you sane, although I would recommend that no one takes my word for that.
