A great team performance, felt for kris who never stopped running (unfit?) and was sooo unlucky not to score.

Varying suggestions for MOTM tonight on here. Henderson, Commons, Izzy, Johansen. VVD also had a great game and Broonie was solid. Says a lot about the teams performance.

A great team performance with VvD, Brown,Henderson and Commons proving they have a quality about them.

How on earth can we be thinking of letting Commons go? He played well, made things happen and ran for the full match even though he was clearly blowing out of his arse long before the end.
We played some cracking passing football, particularly in the first half, and with just marginally better finishing could have had five or six. Henderson was an out and out revelation.
celt for life on
Totally dominated the match from start to finish, loads to be positive about, downsides, Bitton just won’t go in hard in a tackle and Scepovic just not good enough.
Been critical of Commons lately but that was more like the Kris of last season, could have had at least a hat trick, attitude like that every week and he will get the 2 year deal he craves.

Very competent performance by Celtic.
What a difference young Henderson makes. He, Commons, Brown and Gordon very good. Keis very unlucky not to bag a goal or two and looked very sharp.
On the downside the two Stephans were pretty poor in comparison.

Good win tonight along with a clean sheet. Hopefully, a nice wee confidence booster along with a some training in the sunshine will freshen us up a bit for the run in.
I hope Hamill doesn’t miss the rest of the season after being susbstituted due to injury.

Well done Ronny and his Bhoys
Kris & young Liam have well and truly staked their claim for a starting place.
We won and its a good 3 points and we deserve to enjoy it.
But it changes nothing. The league title was not won or lost tonight and neither was it at the Ross County game.
The boys can enjoy a bonding break, pampered superstars that they are, and they face a tough game against an energetic Accies team who all want to make a name for themselves by scoring against Celtic as opposed to making a name for themselves by trying to cripple a Celtic player.
My highlight from today’s match was Kris’s tackle on Hammil- well worth a yellow card- Am I a bad man in seeing that as a highlight?

Sannabhoy,
Agree. Competition is good. But not too much. :-) I’ll be happy if it comes from Aberdeen and Dundee Hibs this season. Them plus Real Hibs and Hearts next season.
Like the way RD refused to change his playing style. He and the team coped well as the pressure was on for a victory, albeit against a poor Killie side.
We passed superbly well, some of the play was a joy at times.
Izzy, Henderson & Commons were excellent .
Glad to see Scepovic score.
On another night KC would have had 5.
Only down side lack of clinical finishing at times.

Gotta feel for Kris Commons. Last season that would have been a hat trick game. Today, nothing. And McGregor was similarly unlucky.
Needed 3-0 for my bet to come in, c’est la vie.
Henderson my man of the match. Interesting experiment at the end with Brown joining VVD and Ambrose as a three at the back.
Definitely an A-grade performance.

Good football tonite, should have got more goals for our effort. Obviously, the word is out amongst the MIBs to give Celtic players no protection, hoping a few get seriously injured to give the sheep a chance. Disgraceful refereeing.

Apart from Browns couple of over hit passes I thought he was excellent tonight. Izzy bombed forward he sat in.
Johansen played his usual up and at them game with some skill in there as well. Clubs down south will be taking note of how much he brings to a team. Goals, assists, work rate.
Kris was good popping up in wee holes and did very thing but score. Could he hit the bar 30 odd times this season?

Commons MOTM. He was fulcrum and firestarter. The Zombies will eat our dust for 7 if we can repeat that tempo.

Kris did well against crap. He usually does.
If we have higher ambitions, for example in Europe, he won’t cut it.

Good result, 3pts. Celtic 2 going on 7. Sounds familiar story.
Based on tonight ( and previous), I am not sure why Commons is not playing and also why he have not secured a contract extension.

Good performance. Convincing victory. It was important to win with a bit of style before we take our break and we did that.
Kris Commons showed tonight exactly what he brings to the team. We need him for the league run-in and the CL qualifiers. He might not be up to it in the CL group stages – who in our team besides maybe Brown and Gordon is – but he is proven at CL qualifier level as his vital goals v Helsingborgs, Elfsborg and Shakhter Karagandy have shown.
I can`t see us signing and getting a better player in that position settled into our squad ahead of the CL qualifiers. That being the case we must hold onto Commons.
