  1. Captain Beefheart on

Embarrassing but hardly worth preparing the noose.

    JC’s points remain valid.

  2. NZB - Beelin' and greetin' Troll Heids on

And that’s all folks. 2 each. Destined for LG never to score tonight, good performance by Killie keeper. However CG had to look lively on occasion, some porous play through the midfield into defence when pressured. Penalty that never was, but we didn’t help matters by not banging in about 7.

  3. weebobbycollins on

Tomorrow’s papers and phone-in will again discuss the john collins comments. Still, we should really put these teams away in the first half. We are not a scary team anymore. Disappointing, very disappointing.

  4. JC should hide under the bed for the next few days. Worst team in a crap league get a deserved draw against complacent, profligate Celtic. Hearts go top.

  5. We knew we needed a LB, a CF and a MF with guile.

    We got none.

Thugs in their faces enough to put our team off.

    Brown sorely missed.

    Utter pish!

  6. Sloppy defending, dreadful finishing and an inspired keeper. Oh, and we need a left back that can do the basics in defence.

  7. Does anyone know why we play with wide men, who are we crossing the ball to??

Wee Leigh Griffiths, no point in lobbing the ball into the ox if the midfielders aren’t arriving there..

My wee moan for the night..

  8. FT. 2-2

We rue the chances missed particularly in the 1st half.

Killie battled literally and were encouraged by a ref with a lenient view to physical challenges, barges, trips and body checks.

    Disappointed but not despondent.

We played well particularly first 30 minutes when we should have been out of sight.

LG won’t get as many chances in a game.

    Stefan had a stinker.

    Forrest was rampant.

    Central defense we’re strangers.

Rigid faded out the game after Kris went off.

GMS struggled to make an impression.

    And did I say

Stefan had a stinker? He did.

  10. Once again failure to convert chances into goals and inattention by defenders costs us goals and games. Hope the manager is addressing these points..quickly.

  11. Woeful defending again for the 2nd, but if we are going to have a bummer, then I’d rather we did it tonight than next week.

On the positive side we created more , but again poor finishing meant we didn’ t take all points.

There is still a lot of work to be done with these lads, the team should be better than it actually is.

  12. Complacency all over the pitch and in the dugout. They think they just need to turn up and stroll to victory. 14 attempts on target and only 2 goals???

  13. Some poor stuff tonight on terms of our shape.

With Brown and Armstrong injured, maybe we made too many additional changes.

I can understand resting Lustig. So maybe Boyata was a step too far. Even in the first half, the game was too open, possibly the running of Forest contributed to this.

This, if anything, supported JC’s viewpoint, rather than conflicting with it.

Overall, I don’t think out squad is string enough to plat morte Thank 1 or maybe 2 fringe players.

    Just my 2 bucks…..

  14. glendalystonsils on

Europa league for us if we play like that v Malmo. The only consolation is that the team v Malmo will look quite different.

Poor defending as much as poor finishing cost us those points tonight.

Just watching the pen again……..Higinbotham dived.

  15. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    That’s fitba’ for you.

If you become distracted, then you lose your focus.

Can’t really blame them for getting distracted. That pitch was treacherous.

I reckon that there will be injuries to both teams due to the surface.

I said at half time that the ball was holding up.

I’m glad Lustig, Brown and Boyata did’nt feature.

    Heiride wouldn’t have learnt much.

  16. Poor defensively and at converting chances. A lot of players were making bizarre choices throughout the match not just Izzie (who was pretty bad to be fair). But to be honest a 2-2 draw in the third game of the season isn’t the end of the world. Played some decent stuff on a sticky pitch but just couldn’t convert as many of the chances we really should have.

The only really annoying thing for me is that we are now in for another 3 days of the media talking about Collins’ remarks…

  17. When we win the league is rubbish. We drop points and we’re crap.

Should have scored at least 5.

    Lesson hopefully learned.

    Don’t underestimate anyone.

  18. We knew before tonight that Izzi and Ambrose are liabilities. Neither should start against Malmo.

  19. This blog should be printed off and made compulsary reading from all. I shudder when I read pre match posts predicting 5 goal wins etc. Anything can happen in a football game, now I thought the penalty was soft but they created about 5 good goal scoring chances over the 90 minutes, we probably created fifteen. However the game is decided by goals not chances. We all got a mighty kick in the ass tonigh, Ronny,Collins, team and supporters no harm if we all learn from it. Didn’t enjoy the result but I enjoyed the game.

  20. Hugely dissapointing result, created enough chances, just not Clinical enough up front, especially in my opinion when playing with 1 up front

  21. Bad result. Good game though. Although we don’t convert enough of our chances I’d be more worried if we weren’t making them.

Thought that collectively we seemed to shift down a gear each time we went in front.

On the plus side, that type of surface obviously suits Forrest. He was fantastic to watch at times. Janko was also impressive. Efe looked assured, don’t agree he was “at fault” for the first goal. VVD wasn’t marking anyone and should have positioned himself to cut out the cross but only moved in that direction after the ball was crossed.

Injuries. Just what we don’t need.

  22. I heard he was dead on 12th August 2015 9:37 pm

Absolutely spot on. Too lightweight against hammer throwers. Rogic especially.

Knocked off the ball on a regular basis and not only him. After the Collins comments, this was on the cards. We need to do our talking on the park. MSM field day tomorrow :((

  23. Jungle Jim Hot Smoked on

Just read the comments on this page and Same as Most fans much more accurate than Best fans in the World!

    `night all,

  24. Well, well, well….we actually managed to replicate the idiocy and wastefulness of our first half performance.

The guys from Malmo must be planning their trip already, what a shambles from twenty minutes in, perhaps because Commons went off?

Quite a shame that John Collins could not inspire the players to back up his slack mouth, but more worrying is the performance of some players so far this season. I thought Rogic, GMS and Johansen were Killies best players tonight, constantly breaking up Celtic attacks with ponderous passes and poor decision making. The MIB played his part too of course, but the blame here lies with our players.

We squander posession, miss chances and do not attack the ball properly as we feel we will get the ball back again soon, sorry guys that will not do. A lot of people will forget about this game when we win the league however I hate to think what will happen when we play good teams, can we rise to a decent challenge?

I just hope it is a blip, but to be honest it looks more like a developing pattern. I truly hope not.

  25. That was awful against essentially a pub team…

Rony has got lots to prove against Malmo

    Just do it Rony….

    The jury is out mate.

  26. Is it safe to come on? We need to turn our chances into goals. We could have wrapped the game up in the first 10 minutes. We didn’t. They got a draw. Has our manager learned anything?

Am I the only one who thought the pitch wasn’t a level playing field?

  27. glendalystonsils on

Tonight’s result won’t matter in the long run, we will win the league and Killie will be fighting relegation.

Much more concerned with the refereeing. Our players took so much stick without any referee protection that you could easily see one of our guys getting yellow or red for retaliation.

  28. Careful With That Tax, Moonbeams on

I’d rather whoever our forwards are next week .. Find their form in a match that means something ..

Imo, Commons is probably our best forward atm ..

    Aye, I know :)

  29. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

We can blame the players but in the end the red let them away with thuggary and gave them an iffy pen

Crawford Allan is a well known Lanarkshire orc

  30. Not to disheartened we should have won easily with several squad players in the team

who shone up well in my opinion

Never a penalty killie player dived quite clearly & the ref couldn’t get his card out

    fast enough to give it

  31. Have felt for some time that the ” let’s score a goal then arse about ” mentality was going to come back to haunt us at some time. Also find it difficult to understand why so many players need rested so early in the season. Someone once said ” If you tell a player he’s tired he will be tired.” Questions need to be asked regarding training if most of the players are out with injuries

  32. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

    Cqn needs to improve also

Slower than me going to the bar

  33. Disappointing result..

Strange game, sublime football at times but couldn’t convert from a multitude of chances and couldn’t cope with the oppositions in your face performance.

    Not worried though

  34. CATMAN on 12TH AUGUST 2015 9:44 PM

Complacency all over the pitch and in the dugout. They think they just need to turn up and stroll to victory. 14 attempts on target and only 2 goals???

    ———–

I agree in part about complacency, though I categorised it as shifting down a gear. However I don’t understand how the stat of 14 attempts on target and only 2 goals supports your point that we were strolling. Surely strolling would mean less attempts on target?

  35. Arses should be kicked after that display…….too many thought they just had to turn up, none more so than Johansen. His piss poor pass eventually lead to the Killie penalty. He was poor all game and his tackling is so bad it invariably leads to a free kick to the opposition. Guess he will be first on the team sheet next game though.
