We maybe needed a wee wake up call winning games and not losing goals can lead to the feeling you just have to turn up.Hats off to Killie they were being battered but never gave up. I feel that Rony needs to play his strongest team on Saturday we cannot im my opinion worry about players getting injured a good win and 3points would give us a boost before we play Malmo.H.H.

What a stupid substitution when seeing the game out,
To then loose possesion in the middle of the park , and izzy be izzy and get caught out with a nothing ball over his head, then make it easy for the ref to give a penalty, .

My HAPPY CLAPPER still claps.
There were lots of,positives.
The return of Forrest’s form will scare the bejaybus out of the Malmö spies.
Tom looked a capable player to bring on.
Janko adds another option at RB.
Charlie got a wee run out.
We created a raft of chances and on anther night would have been 3 or 4 up by HT.
We can be consoled by the fact that we won’t be fielding that defensive formation if we can avoid it.

I still think the pen was a dive but Izzy let the man get in front of him far too easily. It happens too often.

Izzy should have put the ball out instead of trying to play football. His crossing is woeful !!!
Carrigan on
We had more than enough chances to stroll that game, we are quite frankly thickos up front the number of times we should shoot instead of passing is mindboggling and vice versa.
Thought Forrest looked very good tonight and Janko looks promising.
Johansen along with GMS need to sit a couple of games out both were pish, Izzy, when is he going to learn the referees in Scotland, give them a chance and thats what happens.
Saw the Malmö coach smiling after the penalty , you can bet your last dollar that Celtics left back “weak point” was circled in.
KTF Maybe this is the hard boot up the erchie the coaches and players needed
GerryBhoy on
Yep, Joe Hansen was not a star tonight. But he was not alone in that regard.
Threw it away. A few better decisionsfrom our players and We should have been out of sight. Sloppy at times but good going forward and largely bossed the game.
Apart from the disappointment of dropping two points I really enjoyed watching a competitive game of football. Kilmarnock did not park the bus as we thought they might have.
Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on
We need to get a more cliniical mindset to bury teams when we are on top.
Various issues with our players performances, the ref not booking Hammil when he did his usual on Forrest gave the Killie players the chance to be more robust without getting penalised, our players need to up it next week which I’m sure they will.

Its not the fringe players that need to looking at. It’s the likes of Johansen who has been crap all season (granted it is still early) but is getting worse with every passing match. On this form, I’d drop him for the Malmo match. Waste of a jersey right now

Why sub a more attacking player at 1-2 when we have the game won, if you are going to sub make it to shore up and play out he game. Always play your strongest team and get the 3pts we make to many changes, stop telling players that they are tired, they get it easy enough.

100% on that, senseless final substitution, taking out a holding midfielder, and putting on a winger, and that is nothing to do with who the players were

Carrigan ,you are spot on – we start guilding the lily in front of goal when the game is still in the balance. We need to be far more clinical in front of goal. Start the celebration at the end of the game, not during it
We are a different team without Brooney, we really missed him tonight. The positives I thought Wee James was terrific and I thought Janko showed good potential, Still has a lot to learn but that will come.
The negative for me is the poor ratio of chances being converted.
I enjoyed the game and am eagerly looking forward to Saturday.
One team plays decent mobile football in two thirds then abandons tactic in final third.
Tonight in playing it from back we struggled as no one seemed like they wanted the ball.
All to frequently it went to full backs whose only outlet was cross field to centre backs or to Craig Gordon,
Our off the ball movement was akin to a sunday league team who had bevies it up on a saturday night.
Our coaching is not up to scratch this season so far and has to improve.
Perhaps he has an idea of style but lacks players to implement

Well done Killy, they played the unplayable pitch well. How on Earth the SPFL allow that surface is beyond me. What did I learn tonight, Forrest is a player, Rogic needs to keep out the papers and raise his game tenfold, if he can’t dominate against Killy he should consider a career breading Koalas. Celtic need a striker and our second team will struggle to win the SPFL.
Ronny took a chance on one of our few CL players and due to the pitch he’s probably out, odds on CL qualification have moved out after tonight. Oh, we still need a left back and despite all this I canny wait to get to paradise at the weekend.

The point about players making better decisions
Do we actually have players who can make theses better decisions ?
Or has our downsizing had this impact ( incidentally I think we need to be living within our means and cost base)
Our possession play has been poor for over a season now. Regularly giving away possession, as someone put earlier numerous shots when the pass to a better position is on, or not taking the shot when this is on
Players decision making may be a real issue ?
Our tactics at times must also be questionable
These comments are not based on tonight’s results, but what I actually see with my own eyes watching the team play
Hail Hail

Without Broonie our midfield is a marshmallow. He would not allowed them the physical advantage. We were too lightweight when questions were asked of us by the hammer throwers.

Positives from tonight? Janko and a hungry James Forrest. Only other positive was that the Malmo coach saw us play like that.
Decent performance needed on Saturday , but an even better one next Wednesday.. We live in hope, we have dreams and songs to sing.
