    Tips for the way home:

     

     

    1. Try not to look too much like a Celtic Supporter.

     

     

    2. Spit out of your window a lot.

     

     

    3. Do not smile, ever.

     

     

    4. Smoke lots of fags.

     

     

    5. Steal a pit bull and put it in the back of the motor ( if you’re playing at the pitches near the airport down here you’re near Marchburn, plenty of dugs of dubious lineage roaming free there).

     

     

    6. Make sure no one in the car is wearing anything green or derived from green (teal counts!)

     

     

    7. If your car is green, move to Prestwick permanently rather than going home at all. It’s nice here and you get to see Wee Johhny Hubbard walking his pitbull on the shore. He never minds me asking hims about the 7 -1 game.

    Hubbies at the Dam Park was a finishing school for some real artistes of the 5 a side game.

     

     

    Our wee team was named for the Pogues by our capn’ ( who wanted Rum Sodomy and the Lash but was out voted). Johhny could never get his Sawth Afrikin accent around it and eventually settled on the Pogees, to which we happily answered.

     

     

    I never knew you were from down this way. You must know our lot if you’re of that vintage.

    just watched the “parkhead89:the fans story” from Liverpool FCtv a truly moving programme of the charity match from that year two weeks after hillsborough on how our great club and fans helped liverpool back on the road to some kind of recovery after that disasterous event..great input from the 2reds fans and the Celtic fan and well worth watching h.h
