Moussa’s violation

When the players arrived at Lennoxtown for training yesterday morning, Brendan Rodgers had no intention of allowing Moussa Dembele to leave the club.  Such was the player’s behaviour over the following two hours, the manager’s view changed to “Get him out of here.”

Yet again, the days ahead of an important game were clouded by distraction, but this time it took the form of insubordination against the manager.  Brendan’s view changed from not wanting to be left with only two strikers, to insisting the player was shipped out of the club.

One photographer, there for the press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game, told the manager, “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and never seen behaviour like that.”

You and I have seen many come and go over the years, so losing one is nothing new.  Receiving £20m also breaks a barrier in what we can ask for our players in the future, but the manner which this came about is a source of regret.  Moussa is a great player, one who delivered for us when it mattered most.  His goals and swagger were a joy to watch.  Now, the memory of his achievements have been violated by his behaviour.  Having a go at the manager on Twitter, where he talked about being lied to (utter rubbish) and ‘Liked’ a comment from Chris Sutton saying he was targeting Brendan, all while playing to “Bhoys and Ghirls” is deplorable. I’ll get over it and applaud politely when you do the Paradise Windfall 15 years from now, but we’re not buying it, Moussa.

Lots to say on the transfer window, but I’ll pick up on it more next week.  We have a game tomorrow against an outfit who think they can win the league.  This is a day for Brendan and Scott Brown, Dedryck, Kieran, Callum, Tom and the others to do what they do so often against Newco.  It’s a day for you and me to lift the team and paint Glasgow green and white.

Last month was traumatic, but it was also cathartic.  We are a united club with a bit of an edge right now.  Do your thing, Celtic.  Spank this lot one more time.

    Hopefully the players have not been too distracted by events OFF the field and will show that we are still the main force ON the field.

     

    With only limited TV coverage available up till now,it’s been difficult to gauge the form of both teams.I am actually feeling a little tense in the build up for the first time in a Glasgow Derby since sevco arrived and tainted our lives.Their physicality (if not checked by the officials) will have a major influence.We must match this then our greater skill levels should come into play.

    Raging that I’m missing out in all this falling out stuff.7 and a bit hours before I see us beat them ,wish I could be there but to be honest I’m loving my holiday.?Hopefully my tickets went to two good luck charms???

    It’s clear from your posts you care a lot about our club. Just thought I’d comment on the above.

     

    Thinking too much about an imagined future can really do your head in. Trying to deal/solve problems before they’ve arisen is an impossibility. That thinking only serves to pollute your day and detract contentment from yourself.

     

    I know a little about this because I used to have a similar mindset.

     

    Eckhart Tolle has written a great book on that very subject ‘ power of now ‘ .

     

     

    Anyway hope you’re well and we’re cheering a few goals for the tic today.

    Good morning from a currently sunny North East Fife.

     

    There’s a lot of confidence about the result of today’s game on here, the kind of stuff I remember seeing before getting stuffed in Europe. Im uncomfortable with all this talk about putting people back in their place and knowing the result before the game is played. There’s many a slip betwixt cup and lip.

     

     

    I hope we play as well as we can and that it’s enough to win this game.

    Hail hail Celts. Finally managed to get online but temperamental WiFi in hotel in Ovacek Turkey. By chance I managed to catch the. 2nd half of Sudoka game over here. I thought we played really well and could of had another 3.

     

    Not going to comment on what I’ve read regarding MDs transfer just because there is simply no point. It’s out of our control. So just get on with supporting Celtic.

     

    There is quite a mixture of ‘them an us’ over here so today should be interesting. Me an Mrs Gaf are heading into Hisarönü later to watch the game with a wee mad mental Man U fan whos tagged on to us. What a case he is, been all over the world supporting Man U an got the chib marks to prove it, full of gory stories like buckets of pig blood being chucked at their coach on way to Galatasery. He’s an adopted Tim for the day though an is giving us his support so he’ll do for me.

     

    Let’s hope we get a good result, if we play like Thurs it should be no problem. I can see at least 2sendings off today though as this seems to be the pattern for Sevco under Sevvie G.

    Sevco Taxi driver this morning sounded very confident about his teams chances today. Told me I was first Celtic fan he’d heard in person or online who was confident we’d win today.

     

    ‘ Really ‘ I said.

     

    Went on to tell me Brendan will be off by Christmas , lots of disharmony etc etc. Clearly enjoying telling me everything wrong with my club I let him go on.

     

    When he stopped I told him my confidence of victory today and of winning the league again.

     

    And reminded him that no matter how much disharmony there is currently, we have by far the best players/squad in the league and it will show sooner or later.

     

    This seemed to dampen his enthusiasm for today but I’m in no doubt their tails are up.

     

     

    Get it done today Celtic.

    Money talks and Mr Hill has us at 4/6 and although not a gambler it’s a fair measure of the potential outcome today. A narrow win will suffice to put SG back in the box.

     

     

    Article on Moussa is laughable and P67 is ridiculed across the celtic net for his slavish deviation to our CEO.

    Very anxious this morning.

     

    I do think we have better players in most positions but I worry that the messy (polite) way the club has operated the past few weeks will have effected mentality. We must score first……

    It’s good the message is really getting out there about the damage Lawwell has done on multiple windows. I reckon his mismanagement has cost us over £100M.

     

     

    Of course managers get thrown under the bus and P67 is a loud mouth passenger when the message is given from above. His snidey remarks against Brendan were bang out of order and we are not going to watch a subtle campaign to redirect responsibility from the serial offender.

     

     

    Of course we have a game to win but there is a more important battle in the weeks ahead. To ensure the culprit walks.

     

     

    I wish P67 had the impartiality to do a critique of the Bonus Thief.
