This time the action is over a lack of accounting information on the performance of that merchandising contract from a year ago. It is almost certain that Sports Direct are obliged to provide a sales reports and some form of audit, this would be the basis of any sales-linked bonus payments.
Dave’s court action is likely to be the most expensively purchased accounting report in history. All this gunboat diplomacy may seem wasteful but some clubs cannot exist without a bogeyman.

The first half was us reverting to early season form but injuries and forced tactical changes transformed our game.

We have won a double treble in spite of Pedro, his man RD fail to get us to the CL, his man lost to sevco, hence Brendan, the reason we have so much cash in the bank is down to Brendan, the reason we have won six silver baubles in a row is down to Brendan.

For me, the most important thing that the CEO should be doing is (i) being honest and transparent with the fans/shareholders about how the league and the club is run, and (ii) what he/the Board are doing, if anything, to address the cheating/improve the situation for the club and the fans.
I dont even expect that we would get everything we want … I just want to know that we have tried our best to clean the game up …
If he does that, I can live with titles or no titles, CL or no CL ….

The man who decided that Pedro is worth that salary is Desmond.
I’m no fan of Desmond but he is one of the shrewdest operators in the world.
He wouldn’t be paying that kind of money if he could get better for less .
In any case there is feck all any of us can do about Pedro’s pay packet.
Obviously his performance in the job is a huge concern to us and it is right that it should be discussed & analysed.
On Balance I think he has done OK for us, but like everything in life he could have done better.
