BRENDAN RODGERS insists he will not rush into the transfer market to sign a new striker.
He could be without hamstring victim Moussa Dembele against Rosenborg in the Champions League qualifier at Parkhead tonight.
Fellow-frontman Leigh Griffiths is already sidelined after picking up a one-game ban from UEFA.
But the Celtic boss said: “You have to be careful in the make-up of your squad.
“If you have got two highly-strung strikers who are fighting for a position and then you add a third one to the mix, it can actually work against you.
“Some will say you can’t have too many good players, but I think you can. It can give you a problem you don’t need.
“It’s just unfortunate if two get injured, so we’ll see. We’ll make do and take it from there.”
Rodgers added: “We could be going into the game without our two main strikers, but I did a number of things last year.
“I played Scott Sinclair up front, it didn’t work, so I had to change it.
“I played Patrick Roberts up there, who was brilliant, and some may not have noticed that in the Partick Thistle game for the last half hour, I played Tom Rogic up there.”
It looks as though the Aussie international is favourite to take the role this evening.
