No surrender Green, surrenders

1159

BBC report that Newco Rangers chief executive and major shareholder, Charles Green, has indicated to his board that he will resign.  Two weeks ago the last owner of Oldco Rangers revealed that he was also a director of Sevco 5088 Ltd, the company who had an irrevocable agreement to buy the assets of Rangers from administrators Duff and Phelps.

The entitlement of Sevco 5088 was subsequently assumed by Sevco Scotland Ltd (now Rangers Football Club Ltd, a subsidiary of Rangers International FC PLC).  Sevco 5088, which Green remains a director of, is now owned by Worthington Group PLC and has started legal proceedings against Rangers Football Club Ltd, claiming ownership of their assets, including Ibrox, Murray Park and all intellectual property.

Green initially rebuffed Whyte’s claims, insisting they were invalid, but his decision to surrender and.… walk away, is sure to add to speculation to what is coming next.  Boom!

Reporters are desperately trying to find out when Zadok the Priest was heard at Ibrox Stadium, releasing Green from one of his hilarious commitments.

NEW SERVERS ARE LIVE AND READY TO ROLL

The current CQN server was commissioned in June 2011.  When we approached the annual renewal time last year, like a lot of the media companies mentioned above, I thought, with no Rangers, interest will fade, there’s no point increasing infrastructure.

The traffic peak we endured in May 2012, when the server played its part in some major issues, hasn’t been matched since, but server resources continue to be stressed.  Last week I bought three new servers (we now have three physical and one virtual) and shortly after full time at Tannadice tonight, our man Andrew in Belfast will bring the system down and start the migration process.  We will be offline for a few hours.

After we’re back your existing user accounts will remain active.  The domain name (celticquicknews.co.uk) will point to a new server (IP) address but it can take hours (or days) for each internet service provider to update their records.  As a result, celticquicknews.co.uk might not find the new server immediately.

Once we are live I will let you know the server IP address (a series of numbers you can type into your address bar), which will enable you to get onto CQN before your ISP has updated their records.  Check Twitter (twitter.com/cqn)  or Facebook (CQN-Magazine) for the address.

Let’s hope it goes smoothly…….

  4. Welcome to Virtual Server CQN for a Virtual but not very Virtuous CQNr.

I find when t’internet is down, time expands to allow more red wine drinking.

I should get the Nobel Prize for that discovery

  5. Looks like the CQN loons are coming out – conspiracy in Boston, all’s not as it seems etc etc. You know what…sometimes things are exactly how they seem !! Grow up FFS.

  9. Derrydave,

    Woohoooo.

    And howwlllll.

I think you need a good portrait of yourself in your attic to look at, before you criticise anyone here of lunacy, and particularly your “it’s not what it seems” comment of verbose stupidity. Just my opinion, mind, ya hun.

    ;))

HH to the new server. Brilliant. Well done to Paul67 and Andrew. Genuine legends ! And thanks for this amazing gift.

Mickyboy88 is kicking the wall in anger that it all went so well. Ntassoola ta la roo la re, in true feline style, is licking his paws and the fur on his backside waiting for some weak felines and easily confused bait. BMCUW & Zimmerman are throwing their arms in the air, thanking God for some relief from the nightshift. Me and Petec are howling at the moon, just cos we can :))) SFTB is sharpening his words with a fine stainless steel razor, ready to deliver the cut when it is most needed, and most important.

And all this just because you changed server??? ffs……

  10. Well done the Boston polis, captured the villan.

    That will it then.

  12. TET,

re your post earlier before change of server,

keep a hold of yon mrs tet,..sounds like a smart cookie.

  13. BMCUW,

:)) I know, I only flamin discovered it 40 mins ago. But on reading the posts here, I’m getting the impression you shower of bollocks were chatting before now.

Tis the best bit of music I’ve seen on TV in years. For some reason, it seems beyond the BBC and Jools to put together some good music. But this is good. BET ye any money, it’s a different producer from the usual.

Anyhoos, have you not got some (wolf) packing to do ??

Up the howlers ! (believe it or not I was saying that as a 13 yr old boy fighting off the good looking lassies).

  14. SFTB @ 01:51

Aye. What stuck out for me was the reports worldwide of a Saudi man being arrested within 60 mins of the explosions.

I thought, jeez, Kiefer Sutherland has been busy again…any chance they can transpose that rozzer efficiency to Scotland….

  15. Fotunes – hard to howl at the moon at 9am in the morning.

Conspiracy nuts are obviously free to express their idiotic opinions on-line – no better place for it in fact. It’s just surprising that grown adults actually try to justify this nonsense. C’est la Vie.

  16. No CQN for the last 3 hours so was tuned into Boston Metro police scanner,..said he was on a boat 2 hours ago…also said he’d been nicked a good while back,

CNN & Sky News, eat your heart out,..old Wolfie is slowing down since his 9/11 days.

  17. Conspiracy theory.

Boston Bomber captured as soon as CQN server was brought online.

Coincidence or the unseen Fenian hand?

  18. Scotland. Rozzers. Efficiency.

Three words you’ll only hear uttered in the one pararaph here on the ole CQN.

But when Bawface can take it to Europe using his solid brass neck as a smuggling device, and have it translated as, “Shcotland. Protectshun. Reshultshts. Yesh.”, we can only just sigh in despair.

  19. Especially for Derrydave,

This was circulated on Monday …

    Anonymous 04/15/13(Mon)18:42 No.15795252

“WARNING: Laws being written to screw you.

I work on a security commission and I’ve just received word to start campaigning on a campaign we’ve been working on for the last two months and now it all makes sense.

I’ll keep it as short can I can.

They’re going to pin this event on a male late teens to early 20s and say he did it because he’s unstable. They are going to find firearms and a NRA book in his home. They are going to say he used reloading powder for the explosion and that reloading powder shouldn’t be for sale to the public. They are then going to say that because the powder in ammunition can be used for explosions that the number of rounds you can buy should be limited and taxed to help pay for these events.

I can’t do anything or I’ll lose my job and possibly face criminals charges. Please don’t let them get away with it. They won’t find the suspect till later this week and the raid is issued to occur on Friday. This was a staged event. The people hurt are real but the event was planned. Don’t let them hurt our rights.

I’m at work so I used a copy of a picture from another thread. Also please don’t mention me. It will seriously hurt me.”

  20. derrydave @ 02:00

Well where tf do you discuss YOUR idiotic opinions then?

Are you George Osborne? I reckon, like your good self, he keeps his true opinions to himself. The sign of a good NON-bampot obviously.

  21. Geee, zimmer, now I’m convinced lol.

Maybe it’s the late hour back home that brings out all the loons and headbangers. What would these fruitcakes do if there weren’t all these conspiracys to keep them occupied. Cui Bono indeed :-)

  22. zimmerman @ 02:01

Thought you were giving us news on the Bill Streuth story there – average time to get over to Boston in a wee boat after making the necessary phone calls, made me think, “ah, he’s finally arrived ashore”….
