  1. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

    Just wondering………..

Are the mods on CQN qualified to deal with stalkers ?

    :-)

  2. The performance of the MIB Ludge over the weekend cannot all be chance. Their must be an agenda behind it — just a case of what? My thoughts are they know some skeletons are about to leave a number of closets and they are bolting various stable door shut.

The horse may have bolted years ago and it is their skeletons that are coming out of the closet but the MIB are desperately positioning themselves for the changed world on the way.

Consequently they are now desperately trying to be even handed / playing it straight.

My thoughts are that bad stuff is coming and the MIB performance in the SDM era is going to be in the spotlight as never before. The swamp is going to be drained and what it reveals will not paint Scottish football in a good light.

Or it is a reverse ferret — a squirrel if you like — some outliers to try and disguise their pro TFOD / TFOD2a bias of the past 30 years.

Consequently the storyline is changing — no matter if the conspiracy theory is simple or huge and all encompassing.

    If, the huns got liquidated…..

how have they still got their park ?

    …..laters.

    oooooh I could crush a grape… the beezer ©,

    Incredible Celt.

  4. Do you think Doorans will keep his lucky shirt now?

Hope some of you jumped on that 13/2 bet yesterday, I think the head man at William Hills will be having a word with the oddsmakers this AM, :))

  5. Madmitch

All very possible , of course but another explanation offers itself.

    1) It wasn`t a penalty;

    2) Jack`s was a red card;

    3) Ref`s DO occasionally act fairly. We just had two within twenty hours doing so.

    JJ

PS I will , however, be quite happy if your theory is correct.

  6. In a moment of lucidity, Petec asked:

    “If, the huns got liquidated…..

how have they still got their park ?”

So, `how` have they? ie Was/is Ibrox owned by the old Rangers?

    MADMITCH on 13TH AUGUST 2017 9:56 AM

    ……………………….

I think it was the linesman that called the red card. I suppose we’ll find out for sure at the appeal which no doubt will be upheld

  8. Very worried about ‘The Clumpany’. He has not posted an article since 28 July. Hope he is OK.

  9. Dexter P. Bampot on

There seems to be a concensus amongst Celtic fans that Aberdeen will come 2nd this season.

Has yesterday’s result at the bigotdome made anyone consider whether Hibs can finish 3rd?

  10. Looking forward to this weeks football.

Regarding the score my own thinking in two legged ties in Europe is simple – make sure you are still in with a chance at the end of the first 135 minutes of the two games.

Stick to the plan. Box clever. Take your chances and other cliches!!

  11. patmcgrathtakesapenalty on

Great to see how the Comment areas after all the Scotsman articles on the Hibs game are stuffed with: “Name Witheld, Comment under review”, a clear sign that their followers have reached critical mass.

  12. Centre back or centre forward that is the question.

What a pup we were sold in Nadir Ciftci when he can’t seemingly rise to an open goal of no fit centre forwards in his path to getting a game. His move from Dundee Utd was critiqued by Celtic fans at the time, but back then who could have foreseen such a pitiful outcome, where we can’t even get him in the revolving door.

Much more pressing than the Stuart Armstrong situation and with still more than two weeks to go in the window Dembele out and Griffiths with a lingering injury, we must surely sign a centre forward?

Nir Bitton is a man in possession and its very unlikely that a Centre Back could be bought registered and slotted in to play in a crucial game such as Astana, and I reckon BR will

play the laconic midfielder in both legs, warts n’ all.

I don’t think Celtic have looked as good this season so far without Paddy Roberts who was after all a Man City player, but despite Olivier Ntcham Stuart Armstrong’s influence has also been missing and he’s still a Celtic player isn’t he?

Nobody knows where SA ( probably not even him ) will play after the window closes but being forced to guess its not difficult to see why he isn’t re-signed when someone might be predicting three four times or more than the best Celtic and Scottish wages ever available.

I said months ago he wouldn’t be allowed to run down his contract, but ‘ the bids’ remain in the minds of the media.

  13. Hot Smoked

    BBC June 2012

“The scale of debt claimed by HMRC allowed it to vote down a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) which would have seen all creditors accept a pennies in the pound deal for what they were owed.

The CVA, proposed by administrators Duff and Phelps and the Charles Green consortium, was formally voted down at a meeting at Ibrox on Thursday.

Rangers will now be placed in the hands of joint liquidators from BDO.

The Charles Green-led consortium confirmed hours after the vote that it had completed the purchase of the business and assets of Rangers under a previously agreed binding deal for £5.5m.”

  14. Interesting discussion on cheating in sport on BBC just now.

I saw tom English commenting on twitter about usain bolt not speaking out about doping. He got pelters. That is the position the smsm are in now – No Scottish based sports journalists have any moral right to comment on any form of cheating in any sport ever again. They put themselves in that place. And it is actually important for people to be down their throats any time they try to talk about doping, match fixing, diving, referee ‘mistakes’ etc until they are honest about improperly registered players, tax dodgers and creditor stiffers !!

  15. BOURNESOUPRECIPE

Late last night someone posted we were being linked with a loan deal for Danny Ings…

Chris Sutton pleading today for Brendan to drop Nir, I think Brendan will probably decline Chris’s advice:))

SA would love hi to stay and hope it’s resolved, a lot of goals for a midfielder and going forward could be our Frank Lampard type, always popping up with crucial goals..
