Partnering Kelvin Wilson

704

After a couple of days away from the computer I caught up with the Ben Nevis Huddle photographs, magnificent achievement to everyone involved.  Our 1254125 project is in good hands.  I’d no idea there would be snow at the top of the mountain in June.

Have you bought your ticket for the Lions Roar event at the Kerrydale Suite on Friday evening.  It will be a great opportunity to watch the Lisbon game in the company of the Lions and enjoy a Question and Answer session afterwards.  There will also be a chance to get your picture taken, so get along.

Accurate news broke today that Celtic are in the market for a central defender.  We are not short of cover in this area of the team but no one has made an irrefutable claim for a place to partner Kelvin Wilson.

As we have often said, successful defending can only be done by a unit, not an individual, but unsuccessful defending by be achieved by anyone.  As ever, let’s hope Neil gets his first choice.

If you are still to renew your season ticket sign up for 1254125 at the same time – it’s every bit as important a part of being a Celtic fan as watching football.  If you’ve already renewed, get back and register.

  4. JF told us last year or was it the year before the club have no intention of trying to recover lost revenues through any route, that iMO is the biggest dereliction of duty in this whole saga, the Huns and the sfa cheating I expect, but the board cheating shareholders and supporters by refusing to protect our interests is disgraceful and for whatever reason many suffer cognitive dissonance on this issue.

Due to the times of the last Glasgow – Edinburgh train it looks like we are going to be driving through to Hampden for the Springsteen concert tomorrow.

Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere decent to eat in the vicinity of the stadium say within 20 mins walk.

    Grateful for any suggestions.

One simple question regarding the huns licence from the suits would set the ball rolling, the media would have no choice but to follow it up……silence.

    WHY THE SILENCE CELTIC ?

Just a thought on your last post, although I do not disagree with it. But would the shareholders not have something to say re. the amount of revenue we lost over this period? And the reasons we lost that revenue.

    Auldheid,

Now had your efforts focused on making accountable club reps protect our interests.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

One of the problems I observed on my travels is that the mechanism for getting issues properly discussed at AGMs by placing them on the agenda is not all that it could be.

As it stands the CST are the folk who best know the rules and they do a great job if asked to get an item on the agenda.

But I know that they have problems they need not have in going through that process if there were closer cooperation with the club.

Now that may have changed since I last asked but it is an area where Celtic could help make itself more accountable via the shareholder AGM process. I accept resolutions may get outvoted but everyone would be privy to the reasons and it would be democracy (for all its faults) in action.

    There are two related problems.

    1. The CST are not seen by some supporters as a body who could be used to help them get their voice heard. Joining the CST would be a start.

    2. The degree of mistrust, which I think has lessened over the years but is always there as the recemt issue with the GB has shown, is a barrier to that greater co-operation.

This is not something I have voiced recently but it is something I intended to raise if given the opportunity under development of the membership scheme. There is also a new post being created at Celtic to meet a UEFA requirement that might help move this forward.

(btw you would have to pay a consultant good money for this sort of stuff :) )

Not much of an IT person so not really able to keep up with all her material

One thing did strike though – although I might well be wrong

Did she not release documents suggesting that JI and a female reporter were covering up CW’s past in 2009 or 2010?

This would be before CW’S appeared on the scene would it not?

If so why were they doing this and on whose command?

To me Minty has had his dabs all over this whole charade

Keep up the good work Auldyin!

  16. Auldheid,

I just break the word up into its components CON INSULT

I don’t honestly believe it would make the agenda, I asked before about the CST and why they don’t provide a buy a share service it would swell their numbers.

This new position it wouldn’t be a supporter on the board, that would be funny.

I would recommend the shawlands / battlefield area which is all within 20 mins.

A few good indians.. alishan is nearest to mount florida.

Battlefield rest is right at the Victoria hospital.

And back towards shawlands … the church on the hill .. the ivory hotel… both at the top of Queens park.

Another 5 mins to shawlands cross and plenty of places there

Why shouldn’t Hearts be in the SPL? You don’t get kicked out of the SPL for going into administration. You get docked points and administrators are meant to come in and cut costs and try to raise cash for creditors, but you don’t cease to exist.

Watching STV. Archie McPherson using hearts demise to say the huns should never have been “punished” by being put out the SPL.

The man is a obnoxious ignoramous. A pityful example of someone whose idiocy is only matched by his verbosity.

No need for apologists to reply that he once wrote a good book about a Celtic manager.

    HE DID THAT FOR MONEY.

His mendacity tonight came from a bitter yearning for his nasty ex club.

A sad, pathetic and bitter person. Is he Kojo?

  25. Earlier on tonight I had a scroll through older posts on CQN. The genuine warmth and compassion that is shown to fellow bampots in times of trouble is really humbling! The offers of help and not just charitable but help with match tickets help when someone’s daughter was having trouble when backpacking in Australia, helping folk get up from England for the game, restaurants even holiday hot spots!

All that and we get to talk about Celtic all day/night long! CQN is not a bad wee place is it?

    GCT keep jumping those hurdles!

Checked out the photos for Mawgan Porth…

    The beaches looked fabulous.

Years ago we would take our sons regularly to Perranporth where the beach was stunning.

Are there any bad beaches in Cornwall?
