There are not words powerful enough to describe today’s news. The English language is insufficient and I have no Greek or Latin. Rangers Football Club have today asked the Court of Session to appoint an administrator, unable to service their creditors. The freight train of their tax tribunal has yet to hit, these events relate exclusively to how the club has operated in other areas.
Scottish Premier League rules state that clubs are deducted 10 points on going into administration, which will give Celtic a 14 point lead at the top of the table once in effect.
This is a day we have predicted will come for over three years. It has been inevitable for that long. Now the really interesting events will happen.
We don’t need no stinkin’ Rangers.

Well there not actually in administration yet and won’t be for 10 days.
Even once they go into administration the season tickets will still be valid.
Liquidation is a different matter.
I was at the 7-1 game,the Dunfermline 1965 Cup Final,the 4-0 Glasgow Cup tie at Ibrox,Lisbon ( and Milan,shhh ) all the Centenary years games including Paul McStays goal at Ibrox,6-2 game,at liverpool 2-0,Seville……. I have many treasured Celtic moments.
I have an unending love affair with Celtic ( despite not living in Scotland anymore ) and an equally and opposite emotion when I think of Glasgow Rangers.An intimidating bunch of Billy Boy bullies,a cancer of a club on Scottish football,cheats,thieves and thugs.
What a wonderful day.
