Rangers on SFA warpath since Fit and Proper enquiry

1203

Rangers manager, Ally McCoist, appears intent on testing the SFA following his outburst yesterday.  According to McCoist the Association “effectively called” Sone Aluko “a cheat and a liar”.  Chairmen of the disciplinary tribunal, former referee Jim McCluskey, had his judgement called into question by McCoist, who said, “The meeting was chaired by a former referee and I have to say his decision making hasn’t improved any since he stopped refereeing.”

This is a new tone from the Rangers manager, who never spoke in these terms about the SFA before they decided to investigate Rangers owner Craig Whyte’s suitability as a fit and proper person to be involved in the game.  Despite yesterday’s punishment, Rangers remain Scotland’s most influential club by the length of the Queen’s highway.  Sabre rattling from Ibrox cannot be dismissed by the Association, who, I am led to believe, will find their investigation into Whyte thwarted.

McCoist escaped SFA punishment for his inflammatory comments to Neil Lennon at Celtic Park in March. It remains to be seen if this new outburst establishes a new method of inappropriate behaviour without consequence. Shauny Aluko will surely not thank his manager for the “cheat and a liar” association. Words like those tend to follow a player.

I don’t know if your blogger-name is in any way connected to Georgios Samaras but, if it is then, can I say that….there are buttons on GS that, only NL knows how to press! IMO!

So, bearing that in mind….might I suggest to you that, imo, NL will deploy a team capable of getting an, unlikely victory in Italy next week and, that GS will write his name into Celtic fholklore by scoring the decisive goal!

    Hail! Hail!

  2. Top of the morning to you all from the white, wintry, Kingdom of Fife. There is about an inch of wet snow lying on the ground and this will make travel difficult for the supporters from rural areas going to the game, but hopefully the sun and the gritters will do their job.

I have looked at the Live-Eye-view CCTV and Glasgow seems free of snow with black roads.

On the face of it we should have an easy task today against a demoralised side, but football is seldom that straight forward.

If we can get the three points in the bag it does put the Cheeky Chappie under the spotlight tomorrow when a Fenlon rejuvenated Hibs just might give him something to think about.

    Hear, Hear!

I often remember Tommy Burns wearing the no 10 shorts!

I will never forget the night that, the late TB, played his last game for the hoops.

My young brother and I stood at the halfway line in the Jungle and, as TB took off his boots to throw them to the crowd, I swear I felt the life drain from me!

I automatically switched to, being in the Celtic end the night TB made his debut in an, O## F### game in a 0-0 draw on an evening as well!

As TB made his way from the pitch after, throwing his boots to the Jungle, I could see, right in front of me….a light in my life going out!

    Hail! Hail!

  14. Oh my…

I just watched the Aluko dive for the first time there. How Fat Sally and Duffield can be aggrieved with that I do not understand. Their argument about contact is incredulous – the fact that a defender touched him at some point in his run, before he decided to try out his Fosbury Flop, does not mean there is “contact”.

Still, they gained two points, nothing will come of the 50 year-old rookie’s comments, they managed to peddle their bizarre “everyone’s against us” idea, as well as the Old Firm bias line, and MIBs will even-up with impunity. Losing a player not considered essential enough to actually pay for seems like a small price to pay.

Why do the bad guys triumph?

  15. I hear Fat Ally is showing yet more signs of having lost it.

What-aboutery is often the argument of last resort. One which rangers minded people seem to reach for as the default position.

Things continue to look good for Celtic.

Even if the reporting of the comments are just about winding things up in the run up to the 28th Dec – I wonder when the Scottish Executive will pass laws making journalists think before they manufacture tensions between football clubs?

  16. Fighting the Fuzz – someone posted that recently. It would get you sent off every day of the week these days. The Orcish reaction to it as you say is par for their filthy course.

Mr Celtic is my Hero. I grew up loving the Man & still do. For me He is my favourite Celt. Not the best Player i have seen play at Celtic park but when it comes to being a Celtic Player, Celtic Man, Ambassador for the Club, & basically just they way he was as a Man there is no one who comes close. He had it All.

I wish Tommy Burns had been there beside Lenny when all that disgusting behaviour happened last Season. I wish He was next to him Today.

In all the memories i have of him as a Player, a Manager, even Him singing haha, the scene i enjoy most is Him celebrating our penalty shoot out win with the Players against Spartak Moscow. The Man is Class. A true Legend. HH

I could not have put it better myself. My all time Celtic Bhoy ever, despite him not being the greatest Player I watched in the Hoops. What a left foot he had.

He is with Lenny in spirit and I am sure that Neil draws strength from the likes of Tommy Burns.

Had the pleasure of meeting Tommy on a couple of occasions. The first being on 18/08/1994 when he kindly signed his Book for me on my Birthday, meeting him that day and the Book will be treasured by me until I meet him again, God willing.

Just by talking about Him this Morning makes Me realise even now He can be used to Inspire People within the Club so something didn’t die that day at the Club.
