LAST WEEK WE ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION ON RONNY DEILA. HERE’S WHAT YOU THINK…

IS RONNY DELIA THE REAL DEAL AS CELTIC MANAGER?

  • YES, I’VE ALWAYS SUPPORTED RONNY & DELIGHTED HE’S PROVING ME RIGHT! (74%, 449 Votes)
  • YES, I’M A RONNY CONVERT – JUST LIKE BIG JOHN HARTSON (19%, 115 Votes)
  • NOT SURE, ASK ME AGAIN IN MAY! (6%, 36 Votes)
  • NO, I’M STILL UNCONVINCED BY RONNY (2%, 10 Votes)

Total Voters: 610

So 92% of Celtic supporters believe Ronny is the real deal which represents a swing of 19% of the support being converted in the last few months.

6% continue to sit on the fence and will make their minds up at the end of the season and proving that you can’t please all of the people all of the time, 2% remain unconvinced by Celtic’s manager.
Overall these are very high approval rating for Ronny Deila, whose three predecessors, Neil Lennon, Tony Mowbray and Gordon Strachan, all found it beyond them to emulate Treble winners Martin O’Neill and Jock Stein.
But the Norwegian is determined for a clean sweep of domestic trophies in his debut season as Celtic manager – starting with a League Cup success against Dundee United at Hampden on Sunday.
And skipper Scott Brown is backing Deila all the way. He said: “It is good for any manager to get their hands on their first trophy – especially at Celtic. It’s going to be a great occasion for us – but it is going to be a special occasion for the manager.

“It’s his first Cup Final for Celtic and he is going to find out what it is like to go into a game like this with the club. He will see what the fans are like on a Cup Final day and exactly what this kind of occasion means to everyone.”Deila has grown into the job in the nine months he has been with the SPFL champions.

Midfield dynamo Brown added: “That’s the important thing. And, if we want to go all the way, we need to make sure we get our hands on this trophy.”It’s maybe a big ask after Sunday. Dundee United are a good team who can mix it as well as play good football. So, we have got to be on our A game and make sure we are up for it right from the start.”
