St Mungo’s is still there as a functioning Church; St Francis is now a Community Centre.

Aye,she was hard done by. Imaging getting disciplined for what a proper police force terms a hate crime.

Meantime, lets not ignore this aside in the article.

“The colleague who made the complaint has been relocated following a backlash from other officers.

Another source said: “It is a really bad case and has caused a real split among a group of officers who were very close.

“The person who made the complaint has suffered as well in career terms.”

This type of “banter” is obviously considered to be Accepted Practice in POLICE Scotland. It was only when a complaint was made that it was pointed out that it is Unacceptable Practice.

Aye,she’s paid the price, but how many others haven’t?

  4. Thought Ross County played well yesterday.

They were aided by a compliant ref but kept shape well and tried to play football on the deck.

That’s not easy on that disgraceful cow patch. There should be some standards set by league as grass was obviously to long and looked like it had been ploughed.

I think we need a slightly more pragmatic approach to such games.

Forrest and Sinclair struggled to run with the ball all day and also received little service.

Brown was immense but Armstrong and McGregor never got going.

They both seemed lightweight and not up for the physical nature of the game.

Ntcham again looked great coming off the bench and we seemed more in control after he came on.

In these smaller pitches against physical sides we need to win the battles in the central areas,

Brown could do with help as excellent as he is.

I hope we see more of Kouassi and Ntcham over the next few months.

  5. Fan a tic- there was a close up of the pitch at HT, commentator said it was really good ……unreal

  6. Kouassi is a strange one, comes in from nowhereand starts, then you don’t see him for a month, there’s a player in there…

  7. !!BADA BING!!

I watched on Celtic tv and they were not impressed with the pitch.

Not one ball across the surface ran smoothly.

    It bobbled all day.

I think N’cham, Broony & Armstrong will start in Paris with MacGregor & Sinky either side although Janes F is an invaluable outlet in the CL

Brendan Rodgers said the pitch was a problem yesterday. He wasn’t impressed with it.

When super Leigh scored the winner BR was caught on camera saying “WOW” it wasn’t the word I used as I thought it was going over the bar :-)

Not sure about the park, get them on the black or red ash then the players can moan :-)

I think Munich will be chasing top spot and their defeat to PSG will have annoyed them, I think they will pump Anderlecht and be hoping to pip PSG in the final game for top spot

Especially when we get a draw in Paris :-)

  13. VFR800: AngelGabriel has kindly helped me source a ticket for the Anderlecht game next month. Thanks for thinking of me all the same mo chara.

I hope they do pump them, we then have a home tie to ensure EL football after Christmas which is a goal for the club this year.

Been very occupied with family business and cooking has not been top priority, nice of you to enquire though. If you have a pen and paper handy, I did throw together a “cooncil hoose “ risotto today with leftovers in fridge.

Sliced smokey bacon, garlic, and leftover chicken . Add them to hot olive oil , cook in oven for 10 mine, take out , sprinkle some paprika powder and add some frozen peas and splash of white wine, stick back in oven. Throw a packet of microwave rice in microwave for 2 mins. Take dish from oven , stir rice through ….nice wee tasty tea.

Sorry , very sorry to hear Jophes news.

    Take care everyone HH

    I like Armstrong and McGregor.

Of course they are both champions league players.

The post was not a critique of them.

I said we need to be more pragmatic in selection as the pitch and robust opponent created a different circumstance.

Ntcham looked more suited than either to yesterdays conditions.

Cheers for the reply, next to Celtic food is one of my favourite hobbies, thankfully my two big sisters love cooking I just eat what’s left, so have Fridays macca cheese (with a bit of smoked sausage) by the way council dinners are the best …. canny beat fried egg, chips n beans :-)

  18. Sad news of your grand nephew Jophes.

    RIP Angus Andrew.

On the St Ruth of Gilfillian story maybe they could have transferred her to the fraud/organised crime/ money laundering squad given that she’s already a season ticket holder at Ipox she has more than a passing acquaintance with same and wouldn’t even have to pay her mileage. Only other place apart from Police Scotland where child abuse is treated as “banter” appears to be UEFA.

    *so sad.

Paddy Bonnar gets a bit of stick on here and sometimes deservedly so, but reminiscing about his time at Celtic on sportsound just there and he loved wearing the Celtic jersey

*IMHO he was a better goalie for his country than us

    Dinner for two. Sorted.

  21. Jophes my thoughts are with you and your family at this the saddest of times…

Angus Andrew Joseph …Rest in Peace…

    NB.

  22. There seems tae be a train of thought out there that the sevco board want mcsleekit for the revolving dugout position while the MD doesn’t.

Mibbees we should look at where the MD came from, could it be that he would like the manager of his previous club to join him, not only that but also bring “Farmer” Moult with him. That move which is much more positive than tommy scheitd or mcsleekit could help them achieve their second place target as well as possibly a good cup run, the latter won’t be difficult as they get home draws anyway.

As for financing, as if they ever cared, I know that there’s players to be shifted, but again when did they care, they can either go intae administration or just cancel contracts with a “see you in court” gesture, history there tae.

Another scenario is they do acquiesce to the boards demands and the sheep then acquire the Lisburn lad and he brings Moult with him there. They would certainly consolidate second place and leave sevco in the dust, and there’s also the possibility of a cup tae.

A lot tae play for the ‘well manager in the coming 10 days.

Really enjoy your posts everyday a school day on here

Paddy Bonnar had a great World Cup with Eire in 1990… he was rubbish with us :-) only catholic that was scared of crosses :-)

Growing up I expected us to have rubbish goalies … Artur, Fraser and now my fav Craig Gordon watching the hoops is so much better with a decent goalie :-)

  24. GFTB.

I love “cooncil house” teas too. Pie , chips and beans is my fave. Followed by a couple of mugs of tea and a stack of McVities Chocolate digestives Bliss.
