  1. Falling into the category of things you notice when re-watching goals…..

1 – Huge assist has to go to Anthony Ralston for out first goal, watch his run drag two County players (including the left sided centre half) away from Jota to help create the space for the wee man to sling in a beauty.

2 – Just before Jota slings in the aforementioned beauty watch Kyogo takes a glance behind him to see where the covering right back is and then exploit the space between him and the other centre half.

3 – Watch Jota’s movement from the moment Giakoumakis swings his boot…he’s on the move immediately and anticipating exactly where the ball is going to spin down off the bar. The County defender was a good yard closer to the goal and favourite to clear but the wee man’s talent, reflexes and desire ensured a bulging onion bag.

The game intelligence (natural or coached) in our players is an absolute joy to watch…the day after when you know the result!

I think you only need to look at the owners of the big clubs in Europe to work out that they not only want but will be seriously working towards a closed shop

  3. I welcome the appointment of an independent regulator to the game in England. Sure the EPL is a runaway success commercially, however unless someone takes control, foreign conglomerates will run away with the EPL model, to the detriment of fans and communities.

Clubs could easily become franchises and be moved all over the world – if some think that far-fetched, a look a sport in the US might provide an insight.

We don’t need to worry up here – Cormack & Gordon are probably as far as it could go.

Of course Val McDermid wants another kind of regulator in Scotland. In light of the Goodwillie farce, she wants a government body to vet every player who plays the game in Scotland. I’m sure her bosum-buddy Sturgeon will back her up…….if she reckons there could be votes in it.

    Watch this space!!!

I don’t disagree with anything you say here – your points are valid and well-made.

I don’t know about cinch terminating, however whilst seeing validity in the Parks/Ibrox case, I would hope that when the time comes to ‘divi-up’ the money, those who have opted out of the deal receive no ‘cut’. Will Doncaster & the SPFL have the balls to stand up to Ibrox then?

If Hibs get Mackay, they will be a different animal next season.
