Scott Brown was not the only one was briefly worried about Neil Lennon’s position in recent months. Neil has never particularly hidden his desire to work in England one day but when it became evident that there would be a few seats available in the English top flight, with the Everton job in particular becoming available, I am sure there were a few nervous twitches.
As and when Neil decides he is going to move on, Celtic will want to have a plan for succession in place, if not entirely executed. In May, when Neil was fielding questions about moving on, I doubt any succession planning had taken place. Some at the club would have been looking forward to a summer break and some player trading. The prospect of finding a new manager, with all the inherent consequences for trading, preseason planning and Champions League qualification, would have caused mild panic.
Always be prepared.

I only get teletext when pressing the red button……
Lovely day in Manchester today with the Italian Walk. Italian Society was set up in 1888 in Manchester and have an annual walk.
They are joined by the Polish and Ukrainian communities.
It is a much more pleasant experience than the Walks you Bhoys have to put up with at this time of the year.
At least the Italians do not stop at every CofE church to ding their songs. Then again they like us are not defined by hatred of others.
Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
Im thinking of the days,
I wont forget a single day, believe me.
googybhoy ♥ Celtic
Do they walk in reverse

Catching up.
Great post
Corkcelt, thanks for the bad news!!!! was at a game in the late 90’s where they went into extra time & Leitrim shaded it. I blame the bankers for sending better players to London!!! Maybe if they had bet on the match we could have put a few quid back in the state coffers….
Why does anybody engage with that troll walloper ‘mickbhoy’?
Anybody else getting the Italy Uruguay game via the red button?

There are too many people on the blog making generalised comments regarding the cops.
My son is a copper. He is also a Shareholder and SB holder and is also a highly intelligent and valuable policeman.
I suggest that less generalised and ill informed comments should be made.

Sorry but it was a bit more than that I think. You should not try to lump in all policemen with the idiots that make up the focus group.

Geesa lift mister
A phrase well known to the older bloggers. The phrase came to mind when i thought of the ‘lifts that the sfa has given sevco”
Mister is of coarse ogilvie
Geesa license mister
Geesa cobbled signing ban mister
Geesa permission to play trialists mister
Geesa company change but pretend we have the history mister
Geesa brother to look into stripping of titles mister
and so on……..
All i would say is
Geesa break mister and close the door on the way out

Good luck to your bhoy. I hope he does well and has a great career.
There’s general and there’s specific. Philosophically, we have to be able to see that one does not equate to the other. Celtic (kettling) and Catholic (nuns on trial in Paisley) people in Scotland have had some poor experiences of the police in recent months. This is a matter of public record.
If your bhoy has assured you that some of the historical issues Tim polis in Glasgow have had, for example in getting promotion or facing sectarianism from colleagues in the workplace, are no longer part of the picture, it would be very heartening news, but it would not mean the kettling and the ludicrous alleged interventions of an investigating officer in the recent case against the nuns in Paisley were figments of our collective imagination.
That said, it works the other way too. It’s not philosophically valid to argue that the Paisley polis woman appeared to harbour anti-Catholic sentiments, ergo all polis harbour anti-Catholic sentiments.
People make this kind of mistake all the time, even in debates in Parliament. It’s very disappointing.
Found the game on channel 994 on Virgin Media
I remember a couple of seasons ago, coming out of a cup game against Hearts. The couple of PCs in front of me were chatting and as obviously sickened by the result as every other Celtic fan.
A wee laff from Dino.

Cheers for that. I agree regarding the general and the specific. If you have a grievance then make it specific. He has, in all honesty, never mentioned any anti “tim” feelings, well were he is stationed anyway. The same applies to his previous posting.
He is extremely well thought of in his station by all of his superiors and is currently in the throes of joining the armed police dept.
