A place at the top of the league is the prize no offer for Celtic tonight, as well as the chance to atone for a couple of ropey performances earlier in the season. The penalty-aided draw at Celtic Park against Motherwell was perhaps our worst display of the season, while a late collapse at Fir Park against 10 men uncovered serious vulnerabilities.
The Fir Park game is most memorable as the day John Guidetti lost his mojo. He could have had a hat-trick that afternoon but misfired and hasn’t recovered. He’s no longer an automatic starting choice, but if he gets on, he’ll have the perfect opportunity to bury his demons.
Do you think that despite his emotional state, Charles Green knew he Sky Sports’ Jim White would allow him to answer questions about money by talking about his wages, not the onerous contracts which are proving to be a convenient earn-out for those who were in at the start?
As an interview, it was compelling, but Sky missed the target.
Get in early for the minute’s applause in memory of our friend Kano. It will be a chance to reflect on his inimitable style.
CQN11 St Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance is on Friday 13 March, at the Kerrydale Suite, Celtic Park. The focus of an excellent night’s entertainment will be funding the construction of a kitchen at Chibwata Primary School in Malawi, for Mary’s Meals.

Good!
His whole speaking to Celtic thing was engineered by Murray to make it look like he chose them over us. Dunno why MoN even spoke to the guy.
LB
Tom,
Aye, I mentioned that earlier.
I’m fine with that as it was almost a hundred quids worth of tickets but a pain as I’ve got to make the trek to the postie office in the next toon as I wasn’t in.
Livibhoy,
Really?
I hope the wee rat rots.

Cheers bhoys,much appreciated.
I’d just like to thank a couple of CQNers for taking the time to give me a visit last night, very kind thought to come 20 odd miles to visit me, much appreciated.
In a statement the Easdale family adviser Jack Irvine said: “So like an episode of The Living Dead, Paul Murray emerges from his borders lair having vowed never to return .
“He says he expects a smear campaign against himself and Dave King and in the same breath compares the Rangers board to Gerald Ratner. Hypocritical? You decide.
“If Mr Murray and Mr King ever do get anywhere near the club they are welcome to carry out a robust financial investigation. The Easdale brothers have never taken a penny from the club and nor have they claimed any expenses.
“One begins to wonder if we are not dealing with Paul McKenna as opposed to Paul Murray who appears to have hypnotised himself and his cohorts into obliterating the memory fact that they sold their beloved club for One Pound. Rangers men? You decide.”
The first big salvo fired by Jack Irvine in what should be a glorious bun fight over Sevco.
Instead of speculating, and some fretting, sit back and be entertained.Tickets are free.

We got revenge big style though through Scott Brown and Paul Hartley.
I remember BFDJ on SSB boasting about how Scott would be a Rangers player before the week was out. Next day he was paraded at Paradise.
“Aye but Rangers got the best of the two in Kevin Thompson,” said BFDJ to a gloating Tosh McKinlay. Aye how did that turn out big man?
Paul Hartley was on his way along the M8 to meet Walter Smith. His agent phoned and told him Celtic wanted him and he headed for Celtic Park instead, leaving Batty Wattie to ease his pain by kicking the shit out of a youth player.

Since I’m the only one from our wee car club going tonight I decided to book a seat in the local CSC. So sitting here eating tea with a glass of red wine, this is too civilised and I do intend to finish half the bottle :0)
This ticket money farce might be in the rule books but we have here an extraordinary situation that should make this rule null and void.I would think it is up to the three clubs who could lose out to make an official complaint.
The Huns have no credit line, they have no day to day running money, they have issued a notice to the Stock Exchange that they urgently need cash to keep the club afloat, yet the three other clubs are expected to take a gamble on the outcome.
The Huns should have to ring fence the ticket amount for the 10 days.No one is asking for the money upfront, but if they can prove they have sufficient funds to cover the money,it can stay with them, ring fenced.Sheer lunacy by the other 3 clubs if they let this go.

Ditto the bent SPFL.
100 years late there trad.
Mad Jacks analogy of “the living dead” would be funny, if it wasn’t so close to the truth.
Tom McLaughlin
Be surprised if Hartley was ever going to sign for Myth.
You never read his interview in the Millwall fanzine when he was down there?
LB
That’s what happens when you’ve been looking at the Jackanory page of the SPFL website.
Get yer dates mixed up, deliberate in their case though.
Turkeybhoy,
So??
Let them default :)))
Tough game tonight, our first at Paradise this year. Let’s hope for a massive improvement from our last home game. Our home form has not been the greatest so hopefully we have a high tempo from kick-off to keep everyone warm.
Our next league game after tonight is… 22nd February
The maestro
You mean next home league game?

Have you stopped and considered that, Martin O’Neill might have been got at – just like Neil?
Did you post an open letter to Dermot Desmond when he said that -”Rangers are a
wonderful, historic club and the sooner their back in the same league as Celtic, the better the game will be.”
Did you post an open letter to the Celtic board when, after being shafted by the LNS enquiry….their response was – “We’re surprised.”
Better still…the ‘bored’ didny say anything, they left it to Neil Lennon to host the questions at his Friday press conference and, it was he who was left to say – “We’re surprised.”
On conclusion….the huns have shafted everybody and, anybody out of £140 million and – off the top of my head…3 years CL-money £60 million that the huns cheated from us on the back of the ‘honest-mistakes’ whilst, the Celtic ‘bored’ looked the other way!!!
Did you post an open letter to the Celtic board for that?
Surely the ‘boreds’ in-action re: all of the above and more, is the real reason that, not one penny of the £140 million will be paid back coz of the Celtic ‘boreds’ collusion and, their carefully planted ‘lackeys’ like you will spin the ‘boreds’ smoke-screens and continue to dupe all the easily kidded-on-happy-clapping-retarded-seals who – in the main – constitute the Celtic support of today and its for – that – very reason that I fear the LCSF v’s the huns in terms of the, potential for huns violence as, there aint no JUNGLE types of Celtic supporters there to do the battling. Celtics fan-base has been detrimentally neutered by the enforcement of ‘Cromwellian’ laws that have been cooked-up with the ‘unseen fenian hands’ of the Celtic ‘bored’ helping to stir this poisonous brew. Will you post an open letter to them?
Nah, you wont coz your one of the main proponents of a carefully constructed ‘clique’ that operates on this blog.
Oh, mammy…daddy!
Off oot tae the real world.
=========
Do you fancy meeting up for a pint and I’ll tell you what I’ve done and why.
Make that a few because it will take a while.
Just bring an open mind or even one that is ready to be open.
Livibhoy –
Maybe so, but he had no income and a family to feed and until Celtic made contact, maybe Ibrox was his only option.
Everyone’s favourite referee is in charge tonight…

Turkeybhoy,
So??
Let them default :)))
Why should we?.I know what you mean, but this is a ridiculous statement to come out with. Will the SPFL guarantee the money to the other clubs?.
If they want to play in any competition they should have the money to do so.If not,out on their jacksey.
VP-Does Mrs VP know you’re going yet? :)
Tom McLaughlin
Hartley was signed from Hearts for around £1m he had his wages there at the time.
I would have been surprised if Paul had signed for Rangers.
LB
Not Gollum ffs?
Turkeybhoy,
I hear ye neebs but I don’t ever want rules bent for them. Goes both ways.
Especially when we know the 3 other clubs they will be trying to sting.
Tom McLaughlin
We should have signed Paul two years earlier and kept Robson two years longer but what do I know?
