Some consistency from Uefa, please

819

Of all the supporter-related offenses Uefa are disciplining football clubs on at the moment the use of lasers annoys me most (with the appropriate caveat for health and safety matters).

Racism, health and safety violations, violence flares are all appropriate reasons to sanction a club but it’s always bothered me that Uefa seem to let the continental fashion for shining powerful lasers into the faces of opposing players and managers was not tackled appropriately.

I was, therefore, pleased to hear Uefa disciplined Olympiacos for, among a rich litany of offenses, their fans pointing a laser at Anderlecht players during their recent Champions League game.  The Greek club have been ordered to close the more colourful part of their stadium for their last 16 game against Manchester United.

It will surprise few of us that despite the Greeks being sanctioned for using lasers, Milan have gone unpunished, despite their fans pointing lasers at Celtic players during our recent drubbing.

These games are supervised and televised from multiple angles.  If the use of lasers attracts a punishment, and it should, the rules must apply without fear or favour.

Everyone who asked to book a ticket or table for the CQteN St Patrick’s Day Party should have received an email regarding payment in the last day.  If you have not received an email, get in touch right away (CQNbooks@gmail.com) to ensure your booking is confirmed.

NL says it’s looking more & more likely #celtic will lose Ledley & Samaras, with no development on new deals

Ah well players come and go, took big Sammi three years to be liked by most, two goals against the Govan shipyard team, Joe, a good player but to be honest, disappointed in his contribution as a whole, lasting memory well a cracking header, yep against the shipyard team.

Will I miss them, I’d miss Celtic more.

  3. Just a thought, stay with me on this one, if I am right? Then something is wrong, right here we go, Billy buys the new shares at Ibrokes , Billy is not an invester so he has to bye the block shares at £500 a pop roughly 700 shares, give or take, an invester gets his/her shares at a penny a pop, so let’s just say for talkin sake the invester buys £100 worth, now that would give him wut? 10,000 shares, bottom line Billy put up the money, and the investor took it and had more shares than wee Billy, Doesent look right to me? But am no a Billy, AMA Tim.

  5. I was injured in an industrial accident in the west of Scotland.

He lost a lot of blood before he got to the hospital.

he got there alive, only just, as his organs were shutting down one by one, and his future is confined to a thirty minute window between life and no more life.

They had to replace the blood that he had lost. Lots and lots of it.

It wasn’t Tesco’s where you picked your brand.

I needed five pints to see the next sunrise.

The doctor told me I have five pints of hun blood,

    three pints of Jewish blood,

    three pints of Catholic blood,

2 and one half pints of muslim blood.

    four pints of atheist blood

and four pints of Orange blood…

If I didn’t list your favourite hatred let me know and I’ll post again with it included.

  8. Shame about Lustig, but we look ok in that department but he is a loss, be nice to see some of the young team getting a run, but that’s the bosses job, best leave that to him, …in here? Noo, coaches corner be here tomorrow after 3.00 pm the 20/20 hindsight dugout bhoys ;))

Thank God say the world, that the Celtic support are not black. and Muslim, nor Jews

Here here- thank God someone has the balls to say it – well done sonny jim. I don’t like women either- Im a bit of a misojynist. Thank God the celtic support aren’t black, muslin, or jews, or women, you should have said. Good catholics to a man. Though a bit rough on black people is it not- I’ve met a few and they seem fine. I think they can be catholic if they tried. Never met a jew, though the Marx brothers were jewish and they were funny by god. They could be catholics too, if they were changed. The wife used muslin for net curtains in her time. I didn’t like it either. Prefered net curtains, though don’t have a strong opinion about this.

    Good luck Mikael

If there is any position we have very good cover for it’s RB (IMHO) So its good that we are getting him sorted and putting his long term health first.

If JL goes I hope he has the good sense to make sure it is not to Cardiff, again IMHO things are about to take a turn for the worst down there.

IF him and Sammi go I wish them well.

My heart is being ripped apart.

No big deal, you don’t know me.

I skipped school back in ’66/’67/’68 and I would walk eight miles from my home to Celtic Park.

I’d did it too many times, but if I had my time again I’d do it ten times more.

I was eight years of age when I first walked from Scotstoun to Parkhead and I was there every morning before Sir Robert Kelly got out of his big black Humber and shook my hand with his bad black gloved hand and when he asked me why I was not at school, I told him I was at school.

    I think he understood.

When I worked in Christian Salveson in Bellshill in the 90s one of the loading supervisors took one off those we ticker guns that press out a message and typed “big Fenian B*&^*&^” and stuck it on my locker.

As him and his lackies were having a wee chuckle I asked if I could borrow said Gun

I proceeded to type out the word PROUD and stuck it in front of his message:))

They never said a word but their faces told me all I needed to know.

  22. Hey! Mary’s meals, CQN are having a wee drive on it at the moment.

The first time I ever heard of Mary’s meals was when I had the luck in life to meet a Belfast Celtic Supporter.

    I don\’t want your money….

You can’t eat money. No matter how much you’ve got, you can’t eat money.

  23. Paul Murray and the requisitioners have been routed, below is a quote from him on BBC webpage, the man clearly needed help sadly he seems to have been giving the internet a miss ? heres a tip Paul if you had been getting kept up to date by the internet bampots you would not have been surprised by the “revelation” from Graham Wallace

Meanwhile, Paul Murray has repeated his view that Stockbridge’s position is “completely untenable”.

“Putting aside Rangers and the history of this whole thing, if this was any other organisation, the financial mismanagement in the last 12 to 15 months which has been there for all to see is obviously unacceptable,” said the former Rangers director.

“Probably the most surprising revelation was that Graham Wallace said that the cost base would have to come down going forward and, indeed, they would be spending less money in the Premiership than they were in the third tier.

“So you start to wonder about how the team might look in a couple of years’ time.”

Andy Kerr, president of the Rangers Supporters Assembly, one of Rangers’ largest supporters groups, has warned the board and fellow fans that a boycott of the club could have catastrophic consequences and fears the Glasgow outfit will not survive another financial catastrophe following the liquidation crisis last summer.

Is it me – survive liquidation !
