I fear that AM will be a liability against Inter. Making a mistake is one thing – and he does that too often – but naivety is even worse. You are winning 2-0 with 70 minutes played, you are well in control of the game and you have a throw-in in your own half. Why on earth would you want to take the throw-in quickly?

We don’t seem to play too well on St. J’s mud-wrestling arena. That second half was a bit of a throwback to the start of the season but grateful for 3 points

I don’t give a monkeys if tv, radio or any other media outlet take the mince out of the “Ronny roar” the fans that travel love it…. And so do I, long may it continue !
Hat doffed to Ronny, even us doubters on here from earlier are rolling with it (pfayr) :))
Not one of our best performances, maybe midweek played a part on it!
Still, it’s Grand to be a tim….:)))

difficult as we looked tired near the end, also we probably started thinking of Inter once were 2 nil up. Great saves from Gordon gave us the 3 points he really has been an inspired signing. Roll on Inter it will be hard but I am looking fwd to it.

Especially if you throw it in straight to an opponent, followed by a missed tackle. Thought AM had not a bad game, but he was 99% responsible for the ST. J goal.

I was just moaning that Joe Hanson was having a poor game when up he popped and scored the second goal.I still think we are not taking enough chances and against Inter we need to be much sharper.I think Rony was right to play our two strikers Griffiths and Stokes and keep the loanee Guidetti on the bench.I really do think Rony may well become a legend at Celtic and our support just love guy. H.H.

St Johnstone did their homework not allowing our two CBs to stroll through the game and they were tenacious in midfield.
As a result we were never in total control and they had a physical presence that made it a hard graft.
Pitch was pretty bad and Johanson up to his goal was losing the ball a lot more than usual.
Their keeper had a couple of good saves that kept it tight but Craig Gordon showed the value of a points winning goalkeeper.
A good game to bring us back to earth.

It is a pity ML is so injury prone as the right wing back position is by far our weak link when he is not in the team.

Great scenes in Perth with the Ronny roar as Celtic go six clear.
Superb three points gained by Celtic in a difficult away fixture, for our tiring side.
Remarkable game in which St.Johnstone pinned Celtic back after we’d wasted too many chances to tie the game up. Lots of football in such a short space of time, but perfectly set up for a rest then a game against a side from a higher level.
Brown, Biton. Johansen, and GMS toiled and just about shaded the midfield battle, but a succession of soft free kicks would have seen most recent Celtic sides concede a late equalizer.
With St.Johnstone strong on the left wing against Adam Matthews, RD threw on Ambrose and with his help the back line held on, aided by a double save from Craig Gordon.
A packed Parkhead on Thursday beckons for the faithful.

will surfin around today i came across the memory of the first cliftonville game, interesting read, well i enjoyed it anyways –
Can’t be brilliant every week, I suppose. Sometimes you need to battle it out – and we showed we can win that type of game too.
Was impressed with young Liam Henderson when he came on, some good touches and unlucky not to get a goal. Surprised to see Stokes rather than Guidetti – the ball didn’t stick up front when he came on.

Well done Celtic, a stamina sapping test in the middle of a hard run of games. I think the score flattered the Saints a wee bit as we had a few good chances and their goalie had a few good stops and also they got the break of the ball at their goal. A hard fought game and we have another 3 points. Great save Craig G at the end.

Both Celtic bad defensive mistakes but St. J goal a great finish. The gospel according to SKY.
Loved the reaction from CG when he made that great save, also saw the disappointment from him when SJ scored.

Football is a funny old game its hard to believe that Saints were knocked out the cup last week by Queen of the South. If they had played the way they did against us today in the second half im sure they would still be in the cup. H.H.
Tricky end but could have been out of sight had things broke a little kinder for us at times.
Fealt sorry for Broonie, kicked up and down the park by numerous thugs and then booked for a challenge that often went unpunished all game long, same as Jason’s at the end.
Broonie sometimes a victim of being involved on the receiving end and is in the refs head and as soon as he puts his foot in the crowd go daft and he gets cautioned.
Broonie was my MOTM for his continuous battling and never say die attitude which was missing from some in the last 15.
6 clear and looking comfy for another title.
No need for man by man analysis today, we won again as a team.
So is The Sheeps game tomorrow ” a must win” if they slip up is the title race over? are Inverness the new threat to Timmy’s domination of the game.

I thought we hit the cruise control button a touch early- came close to show boating at one stage around the hour mark and I don’t know if I’d have put Stokes on for Guidetti. But even after they scored I thought we controlled until Henderson’s miss on 86 or 87. After that it was pretty ropey but as my nephew pointed out earlier in the season at least two points would have gone west in a similar type of match.
Surprised Nir B got MotM as he was less influential than in recent games and to be honest the two new boys looked exactly what they are. New players who are still fitting in. But nicely. Absolutely bloody ( apologies) delighted we won. Not the best week personally so very grateful.
Oh and God Bless Craig Gordon.

Thought we started off well for about the first 20 minutes, but then our midfield seemed to lose its drive and energy.
St. J stopped VVD and Denayer from bringing the ball forward to often, and our midfield didn’t pick up the slack enough.
Our midfield is a bit small … I know he is no hulk, but he is a big guy … with the rest of our midfield a bit small, he has to make his presence felt a bit more than he did today (especially winning balls in the air).
Inter have struggled, but seem to be rounding into form, and with players like Guarin the middle, our midfield has to step up a gear on Thursday, or it could be a long day.
PS …just heard that my sister-in-law’s mum (Joan) was taken in for emergency surgery this morning. Liam says it is pretty serious. so keeping our finger’s crossed. If any of you could spare a wee prayer for her this weekend, I would be most grateful.

In this end of town – the home of the G20 Ronny Roar- we did not think big Jason even touched the boy he got booked for! Biased?
Messi receives a ball , taks it on his chest, instantly nips it away with his left foot and caresses the ball past the unrushing goalkeeper with his right, masterclass as the ball never touched the ground.
Steph Johansen does exactly the same and it is poor defending.
Rubbish, a very clever piece of skill was our second goal and deserves much more as does the first.
