    I think you have to go back to 1931 before you will find a govt in this country that was truly elected by the people.

     

     

    The rest have been installed in a undemocratic democracy with less than 50% of the vote.

     

     

     

    That was my favourite penalty ever awarded since the award of penalties ever yesterday.

    What has annoyed the MSSM so much about our penalty was that it was given at a time when it was very important for us. I have often felt that the stats would indicate that Rangers , The Rangers ( In the Lower Leagues) and ourselves would get more penalties because we attack more. The difference was that we , in the main, would have them awarded when we were already comfortably ahead. Sunday`s was par for the course for Them but very unusual for us.

    Rohm was arrested and killed because Hitler feared that the behaviour of the SA was alienating his conservative support and the German military… Rohm was framed on charges relating to plotting against Hitler . As were another 85 movement big wigs .. . Hitler personally arrested Rohm .. . Rohm was invited to commit suicide but refused. .He was then killed by the SS . A definitive statement that Hitler was above the Law … Just to be sure a law was then passed making it clear that Hitler was the Law

     

     

    There are strong parallels with Stalin’s elimination of Kirov.. Get rid of a rival and then use Kirov’s death to create law which put Stalin above the law.

    Re the penalty – i had a close look at the incident and if you look at the refs positioning he is side-on to the defender – so as the ball struck the defender the ‘offending arm’ was on the refs blindside so he didn’t see it actually hit his hip as the defender turned. A bad mistake but in real time these decisions are regularly made mainly against us.

    Went out last night for full smash while watching the Super bowl ( any excuse for a session) .

     

    When I arrived in the boozer my mates were discussing the beauty of the 5 th goal .

     

    The boy behind the bar with no allegiance asked about the dodgy penalty.

     

    The reply in loud and perfect unison was “stonewaller” .

    My limited knowledge of the Hitler/Rhoem relationship was that they both wanted the same thing.

     

     

    One via violence,the other through politics via violence.

     

     

    As such,Rhoem was a useful idiot. But once he had seen through Hitler,and that there was no chance of being rewarded for his efforts,he was dead in the water.

     

     

    In typical Hitler fashion,he used the executions to further cement his popularity!

    Agreed Gene, also agree re 5th goal, absolutely superb.

     

    Hard to believe that we have players, like Gamboa,Izzy,Jozo,Rogic,Armstrong,Forrest & The Grifallo & of course our new bhoy Eboue who didn’t get to kick a ball yesterday, our only problem is that the surplus of talent might stymie the development of our Development players.

     

    We already have almost a full team (mostly young players) out on loan.

     

    When I think back of the cheats 9 in a row, I sometimes have to stop & pinch myself.

     

    I honestly never thought I’d see the level of dominance we have achieved & still some Tims find something to complain about,

    There certainly seems to be an ingrained bias against Celtic on BBC Shortbread.

     

     

    Fortunately the bias doesn’t extend to the BBC nationally, where generally coverage is fair, even quite positive.

     

     

    The anti Celtic bias appears to be a Scottish thing, rather than a BBC thing.

    Not being a Sky subscriber I can’t comment from my own experience but how does BBC Shortbread’s treatment of Celtic compare with that of Sky?
