Sheikh Yerbouti, I believe Armstrong will be an important player for us. Centre mid, creates and scores, an intelligent player. Future captain.

  2. Not getting to worked up about the defeat it was a typical nothing to play for end of season game.

Efe getting it tight again quite rightly, but notice who needlessly gives the ball away at the edge of the box in build up to their goal.

A bit of a pattern developing there also.

  3. Good run out for the development / deadwood players that havent featured much.

Two cheap goals lost although Stefan can consider himself unlucky with the bounce.

    Roll on trophy day.

    Hail Hail

  4. Celticrollercoaster supporting Shay, our bhoy wonder along the way on

Pitypatty football with no penetration and poor defensive errors sums up the night for me.

Well done to Lee on 40.

Too many changes or just a lack of heart and conviction, who knows?

  5. Vale Bhoy

Last I looked the league had 12 teams competing in it. This season Aberdeen put in an almighty effort and ran us close until a few weeks ago.

The only people denigrating Celtic’s achievement in a “one horse race” have been the media and the soup taking ex players they line up to criticise everything we do. Of course none of the “real” Celtic supporters on this blog have been taken in by that line. Hell some of these guys are so savvy they can even see through Paul67 setting up this blog to act as a conduit for board propaganda all on his own and paying for it out of his own pocket, the fool, while they come on to educate us “board sheep” and point out our stupidity.

If winning 5 titles is not enough for our “long suffering” fans then nothing will satisfy them

  6. JUNGLE JIM HOT SMOKED

It’s Tims like you who still read or listen to the SMSM who empower these idiots.

I don’t listen to the phone ins and I don’t buy papers. When watching the away games I don’t even have the sound on. I don’t need them.

You should avoid them. They’re hun dinosaurs.

  7. Game was unimportant as league was won.

But the reasons for coaches departure were clear as day.

Lots of purposeless possession.defensive lapses and players playing out of position.

I hope the new coach makes his own assessment of the players we had as think Ronnies system was detrimental to some.

  8. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Evening all.

So we won the league, gave some players a game and lost a meaningless match. In the wider scheme of things – so what.

Efe, efe, efe. Poor guy is beyond parody. A real shame.

Someone called it perfectly earlier. Its not his fault its the management’s. Sheer professional negligence picking the poor guy.

    Hail hail

  9. Neil McCann he made a fair comment,he said that when Celtic lose a goal, they seem to lack in confidence, couldn’t agree more, especially when you get players like Johanson making errors like he did for St Johnstone did this evening, also I have no faith in Bailey,Ambrose, also questions arise if Christie,Allan, are going to get better next season, also Roberts not at the races to night, another McGeady, one trick pony,as for the manager,I backed him from day one,but the right decision was made for him to move on,also I’m beginning to think it might be a good idea ,to get a new goalkeeping coach, just my opinion,on here,

  10. Field of dreams

    Fair point good player

What is his position in the centre

    McGregor a better player

    Not consistent enough though imho

    Bournesouprecipe

    I knew I missed someone

A yes from me great player

    A game winner

Well done to young Mr Ralston!…first of many I hope.

Well done Mr Griffiths, 40 goals, over and out!

Well done Ronny for the two titles and the cup! You did your best…but it sure is a hard gig.

Well done young Patrick! You have given us hope for next season.

A special ‘well done’ to our away fans…brilliant all season.

Celtic…undisputed champions for the fifth consecutive time…Well done!…

  12. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Just thought I would add my 2 p worth on SJ. If he was a quarter the player he thinks he is he would be some player.I wanted him off after his silly booking and thothe pitch done him he thinks he is Franz Beckenbauer and plays like Franz Ferdinad!!!

  13. celtic1member1vote on

    Dear Dermot,

Rafa Benitez should be the next Celtic Manager.

It’s not difficult just go and get him.

    Thank You ..

  14. GEORDIE MUNRO on 11TH MAY 2016 9:34 PM

For Europe I’d play the two of them but I tend to agree Tierney should be first choice.

Though he’s just a kid and should be protected a bit more.

I think there’s room for both of them next season.

  15. Thought I would put on 5live and listen to the aftermath of the relegation battle in England and who are on it all cosy, Neil Lennon and fat sally, old firm bla bla , switched it off

  16. Lisbon Lions Upper on 11th May 2016 9:20 pm

Team loses next match after winning league shock.

Has happened countless times in countless leagues to teams far far better than us

*Future Lions lost at hame tae the Arabs, 2nd time that season, 4 days after winning the SC which meant they had tae go tae the bigot dome 3 days later with 2 games left. A Jinky double clinched the League.

  17. weebobbycollins on

    Timbhoy3…yes, definitely…flair and goals…I don’t believe he is a one-trick pony…and I’m sure he’ll get better…

  18. Usual suspects making same mistakes again tonight. The guy who keeps picking Efe and Stefan has to carry the can.Thank goodness its nearly the end of the season.Hopefully new start with an appropriate manager this time. Every Celtic supporter( even Peter Lawwells pals) know the appointment of Ronnie has been a massive mistake. Cost us tens of millions in revenue. Had to suffer one of the most painful defeats in our history (while keeping Chris Commons on the bench).Does not make anyone a better Celtic supporter by glossing over this and excusing him as a nice guy,When most have probably never met him.Any way onwards and upwards

  19. OWEN on 11TH MAY 2016 9:47 PM

If you are truly representative of the Celtic support in general (and you may well be) then the spirit of 1994 and Celts for Change is dead and there is truly no hope for the club.

We won the league before a ball was kicked this seasons and three before. The first of the five was the last real achievement when the deidco imploded and we overtook them in the second half of the season.

The league has 12 teams in it but it sure as hell is not a competition. The gulf between us the and the best of the rest is massive and only an act of supreme incompetence would see us finish in top spot.

  20. We got over the line last week.

Some got their swan song today, some more on Sunday.

Then the the clean out must begin when our new manager is announced.

Pl, second best options won’t do, whatever we make on what goes out the door plus the ten million now a zombie mob can fill your coffers( Your words not mine) will start filling seats again.

    I’ll wait with baited breath.

  21. The gulf between us the and the best of the rest is massive and only an act of supreme incompetence would see us NOT finish in top spot.

  22. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

The decline of Jo Hansen seems to mirror the obvious decline of Ronny.

How does he become a bad player in one season ?

    Worth persisting with him.

    For now.

    Not unlike Biton.

  23. weebobbycollins on

Tontine Tim…0-3 wasn’t it? Only two defeats that season…but wee Jimmy at Ibrox…magic….

  24. No cohesion, spirit or fight. The players who haven’t been playing looked well of the pace and the scapegoats were scapegoats.

Can’t say I’m surprised as it hasn’t matter what 11 we start with the problems are the same.

Highlights were Leighs 40th goal, izzys farewell and the banter on the bus.

  25. Hunderbirds are Gone on

I feel the new manager will have to possess three main qualities:

One – Tactical and strategic abilities. Ronny was sadly lacking here.

Two – The ability to motivate individuals and blend a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Three – Political skills to deal with the board and handle media issues in Scotland, protecting the players from the medias’ excesses.

I reckon Napoleon Bonaparte would be the ideal candidate. If he is not available Genghis Khan, or Emir Timur :)

  26. SJ Player of the Year two seasons ago, now finds himself as the main target of abuse from the boo bhoys…

My prediction a return to form under the new manager and the Bhoy has been hampered by injury all season, a smashing player on his day.

  27. !!Bada Bing!! on

Baily to blame for goal for me,he can see bigger picture in front of him. We had guys playing tonight who should have been blooded in this league, without the Huns. Allen,Armstrong (I know)Christie, should have had so much more game time this season. I hope they play on Sunday,Armstrong too, These boys should have had a run of at least 8 games,no matter how they played. They get a feel for the jersey and how they are expected to play for the club. Forward thinking = nil.
