I’m not going to cry foul over a meaningless game.

The challenges for next season haven’t changed and we learned nothing new last night.

Johansen looks half the player and I have no idea what’s happened.

Efe is a liability and we should be hoping to get him off the wage bill next season. A loan would do to be honest as I believe he only has a year left.

We rely too heavily on Griffiths.

    Good onya , Sadie.

Why do the recalcitrants feel the need to tell us ” I`ll no be back.”

    Aw the drama !

Why don`t they just sod off and leave we Tims to support Celtic as we always have and always will?

    Rhetorical question.

  5. To all the ones saying it will be their last game on Sunday, why bother going?.Are you just “Glory hunters”.All season the crowds have been quite poor, but last week we had around 50,000.Why?.To see the team win the league of course.A league they would not support the team in,in their season long quest to win.

Glory hunters. If the team qualifies for the CL groups, the same ones will be falling over themselves to savour”The fantastic Euro nights atmosphere”at Celtic Park. They will deny it,but they are fooling no one.Glory hunters.

If a transitory board can keep you away from supporting Celtic then you are not a Celtic fan.If you cannot support the team in their quest for 6 IAR,history being made, you are not a Celtic fan.

Dont go back, never darken the doors of Celtic Park again, its you who will be the loser, but please spare the REAL Celtic fans your endless declarations of “Martyrdom”.

“I wont be back next season, that will show PL and this Board, but I was there last week, and I will be there on Sunday”GLORY HUNTERS.

Well I’ll be going because I’ve gone all season. I’m still giving up my ST. It won’t be my last game ever, but it’s the end of the structured attendance.

    Priorities change.

  8. Go tell the Spartim on

SFTB summed it up perfectly, of course the SMSM have an agenda but so do some of our support, i mean its obvious that prior to Ronny we never conceded chances to any other team ever, cause our tactics were spot on every time, and we won every game by four clear goals and played like Brasil World Cup winning team of 1970.

If our players were better we might just have scored our numerous chances in Europe and who knows.

RD has flaws and too many for our club at this point but to continually berate him is not only pointless but futile and shows a lack of comprehension

  9. BABASONICOS71 on

    Ah,Greenock on a sunny day,like a pig in a top hat.

PL got a hold of the Stones manager yet? ;)

I would also challenge your thoughts ref other coaches working out how to play us.

Be physical cos you know we’re quite short and light in the main and you’ll be the recipient of a good few honest mistakes.

On a pitch like last night play the ball with height and pace into danger areas and let the bounce and sieve take effect.

Pack your defence safe in the knowledge that Celtic this season have neither the guile or target man to trouble you too often. Nor do we have many threatening shots from distance. And a complete lack of a Plan B!

In terms of return on investment and potential I believe Aberdeen have moderately over performed this season. We by contrast have quite significantly underperformed. Subjective I concede but you can trust me with this assessment cos I’m 100% right!

You might be being a tad harsh there.

In spite of what some people are saying, I believe the normal crowds have been around 40,000. Importantly, it is unlikely that that crowd is composed of the same personnel every week. That being so, the extra 10,000 for bigger games are not necessarily supporters who just turn up for the Glory games. It could be that all those who do not make every game, try to ensure attendance at the bigger games. Fairly understandable, I think.

I was a big advocate of Griffiths before we signed him. I’m even more of a fan now.

I’ve said previously he has done the work of 2 strikers this season – 40 goals confirms that point. He deserves

Double wages – which should come via 50% of Cole and Richards wages.. As they have done less than half the work of a proper striker.

Griffiths now needs serious competition and support. I’d bring in a proven striker ( folk will laugh but Adam Rooney or McDonald as back up would be useful) I’d be looking to convert GMS as I think he could be trained to be a striker. We however need a proper mentor striker for Griffiths so I’d be happy with a 30-something guy on his way down.

  14. On this day 100 years ago.

A great crowd had gathered Outside of Kilmainhaim,

With their heads uncovered they knelt on the ground,

For inside that grim prison lay a brave Irish Soldier,

His life for his Country about to lay down,

He Went to his death like a true son of Ireland,

The firing party he bravely did face,

Then the order rang out: “Present arms, fire,”

James Connolly fell into a ready made grave.

The black flag they hoisted, the cruel deed was over,

Gone was a man who loved Ireland so well,

There was many a sad heart in Dublin that morning,

When they murdered James Connolly, the Irish Rebel.

God’s curse on you England, you cruel-hearted monster

Your deeds they would shame all the devils in Hell

There are no flowers blooming but the shamrock is growing

On the grave of James Connolly, the Irish Rebel,

Many years have rolled by since that Irish rebellion,

When the guns of Britannia they loudly did speak.

The bold IRA they stood shoulder to shoulder

And the blood from their bodies flowed down Sackville Street

The Four Courts of Dublin the English bombarded,

The spirit of freedom they tried hard to quell,

But above all the din rose the cry “No Surrender”,

‘Twas the voice of James Connolly, the Irish Rebel.

  15. Well done Leigh on hitting the forty goal mark and to think there was a lot of negativity concerning the wisdom of your signing for the club when you came here initially. This was a meaningless game last night for Celtic who are already in holiday mood after a long season, the Saints in contrast were really up for the contest fighting for that fourth place.

  21. JJHS,

Cant agree with that.We have been getting around 30,35,000 at most games, sometimes even less, but last week,to see the league being won we had probably 50,000 odd.Sunday probably the same. The “I wont be back”mob would have been there last week, and again this week.Ask yourself why.

  22. Last night was another snooze fest brightened up only by the Griff getting to 40 goals.

On another note, my season ticket is renewed as I have a direct debit set up. Unlike many on here I have traveled on the journey with Celtic since the 1950s. There have been great times and mediocre times, but through it all I have remained a Celtic SUPPORTER. I was once asked over the phone by a person from Poland was I a fanatic of Celtic. Of course, I knew he meant fan. Then again my friends tell me he was right. HH.
