  1. Nice to see jackie getting a result for united. I expect them to be our challengers next year.

Unless we sign Russell this summer.

    Watt is not a mystery!

Young players do not progress through the ranks at CP.

In the last upteen years we’ve had Aiden mcGeady and noone else.

    Forrest aint up to it.

  3. Watching the delayed transmission on Alba.

Hooper misses a sitter on 1 minute 30 secs. Should have taken that 5 million bid ;-)

I feel for our supporters who made the trip to perth on a freezing cold night in the middle of winter to witness the missed sitters by overpaid strikers who are starting to believe their own publicity.

Unless I’m mistaken we only ever had any interest in Hooper from the mighty Norwich who valued him at about 5 million.

Maybe we should have taken it.

AND GIVEN YOUNG TONY HIS PLACE!

    Good night bhoys!

“So if i criticise a celtic player I’m actually slaughtering them.”

Maybe, I have not heard what you have to say yet so I will be able to judge whether you have “criticised” or “slaughtered” then.

I rarely see constructive criticism here in the aftermath of dropped points, mostly venting.

The important point is that you have the freedom to go ahead and do as you see fit.

If you don’t mind, I’ll go another road.

    As for the questions.

“Lassad or Watt?”- I like both but Tony, if he continues to develop under Neil, will make this a moot point soon. He is not yet our saviour just a highly promising young player who should not be playing every game yet.

“An off form Hooper or Watt?” Gary Hooper has been playing very well but, you have me, he has not scored for a while. When he goes off form, he can be replaced but he’s having a great season.

” If Stokes was not selected from the start due to a family bereavement he shouldn’t even have been on the bench. Or maybe Neilly asked him if he was up for it a la Efe.”

That’s not a hard and fast rule just one man’s judgement. Maybe Neil discussed it with Tony and they agreed this compromise. Tony certainly looked ready for football when he came on. He too is not yet our missing saviour. He had one good game on Saturday bu he is just back from injury. I actually think it is good if managers discuss fitness and mental readiness with players but that is a long way from abdicating responsibility to the player”. Neil will listen to what they say and then decide. It is to Neil’s credit or fault that Ambrose played against Juve and Stokes played tonight. It is not the fault of either player.

“Rogic, McGeough for a bit of sparkle and creativity in midfield.”

2 very promising players, as are Wanyama, Forrest, Ledley, Commons, Sammi, Skoosh, and, even at times, Kayal. But we can only play 2 or 3 at a time and somebody’s favourte will be out. I’ll credit the manager with giving us an embarrassment of riches.

Rogic and McGeoch are coming on nicely but this is a breakthrough season for both. In fact, scratch that! It’s Rogic’s settling in half season. It is neither a shock nor a bewildering selection when he is not picked. He is just our latest piece of bling that we want to see until we get fed up with him after a bad display.

We felt the same way about Juarez and Rogne, remember.

We felt a lot differently about Fraser, Sammi, Skoosh, and kelvin. I have a long enough memory to remember when they were diddies on here.

  6. That draw ended run of 6 consecutive lge wins. Not bad for a team so bad! We can put 90 mins together it seems. Perspective

  7. Didn’t see the game because my pals wanted to watch the ligy Maestro game – Arsenal were outclassed by the game tonight.

  8. It often goes that way when we don’t take our chances, we need to be more clinical in that regard methinks, at half time the saints must have felt they were in with a shout and they were.

On reflection it’s a pity we never let some of the young team loose but not really bothered about the result.

Would be interested to see which player has appeared in fewest dropped points league matches

Good luck with the citizenship tests. Hope John Herron makes it. I like the look of Paul George from that team too.

“Unless I’m mistaken we only ever had any interest in Hooper from the mighty Norwich who valued him at about 5 million.”

I cannot say you are mistaken- merely relying on newspaper reports. I have no idea whether Norwich were the only interested party or whether they were a figment too. I have no idea if they only went to £5m or whether they even went that far. We will have a better picture whenever he is actually transferred.

For me Gary is an upgrade on McDonald and Stokes. He is the most reliable scorer we have had since Henrik, though he is not a patch on him but, then, who is?

I remember lots of posters touting Aiden for sale at anything from 1 to 3 million. Never heard many of them coming back to say _ “See me ! See what I know!”

  10. 5 /6 in first half ,they got closer in 2nd half and we got bullied IMO .Football on a poor pitch in first half was excellent.Stokes might have killed game with first half chances

Tony watt is not our savior, he’s just a very naughty boy.

  12. In Europe this season Giorgios Samaras has been too much for two defenders.

Making lesser forwards look better than they are.

A bit like the way Jock Stein sold striker after striker made to look a class above themselves by the prowess of Kenny Dalglish.

STFB I was amazed when Celtic were paid £10m for Aiden McGeady. I though they’d settle for half that. I rated him very highly but I just thought that after a few high price Scottish failures from Scotland, no club would pay that for a Scottish SPL player..

  13. Would not suit the ‘business model’ no doubt, but Celtic should take stewarding back in house, train and pay fans.

Would solve a lot of problems.

My general experience of a large number of stewards at cp is of ignoramus types ….. Apart from a very helpful African guy at a game earlier in the year!

  14. PFAYR , tickets booked.

Finally, thanks to Auntie Beeb for giving away the score after i had avoided it all game and just before the game started on Alba – ach well , we’ve just taqken the lead through Efe – fingers crossed.

  15. If izzy could just drop those crosses a few metres shorter or a wee bit further from the goalie, we would be out of sight. It is great to see him getting forward and putting in so many crosses again.

Or maybe we need someone attacking the back post more often.

  16. So how come, when I know the score, I’m still disappointed when our good play doesn’t result in a goal?

  17. So it’s half time on alba and I’m off to bed. Based on the first half display, I’ll be checking for a high scoring win in the morning.
